Abstract

Washing powder loaded into a vertical container (2) is broken down by teeth (4) of a disc (3) rotating in a bearing (6). A screw conveyor (15) driven by a variable-speed DC motor (12) and gearing (13) feeds the powder into a vessel (20) contg. hot-water nozzles (21). Water is supplied (24) through an electric or magnetic valve (23) linked to a level detector (28). Outflow (30) to a high-pressure pump is controlled by a non-return valve or flap (29) and filter (34). ADVANTAGE - Precise metering of small quantities is achieved with high reliability through direct gravity feed into water vessel.
