Abstract

The invention relates to a process for the manufacture of phosphoric acid via wet route, which consists in reducing the cadmium in the phosphoric acid by its coprecipitation in the anhydrite formed in a reactor/evaporator governed by appropriate thermodynamic and kinetic conditions. The commercial-grade acid obtained after separation by settling has a low cadmium content.
