CONSISTE EN LA PREPARACION DE UN GRANULADO DE CITRATO POTASICO, EL CUAL ES UTIL PARA LA POSTERIOR PREPARACION DE DIVERSAS FORMAS FARMACEUTICAS, PREFERENTEMENTE COMPRIMIDOS, QUE SE EMPLEAN PARA EVITAR LA FORMACION DE CALCULOS RENALES DE OXALATO CALCICO, FOSFATO CALCICO O ACIDO URICO. ASIMISMO, FAVORECE LA CESION RETARDADA DEL PRINCIPIO ACTIVO, CON EL FIN DE QUE EL EFECTO TERAPEUTICO SE MANTENGA ESTABLE A LO LARGO DEL TIEMPO Y PUEDA DISMINUIRSE EL NUMERO DE ADMINISTRACIONES.
