Novel pencil-sharpener system which consists of a tubular body 1 inside which is included, connected, by means of a large-pitch thread 3, a movable piece 2 which rests on a thrust spring 5, said piece 2 having a front hollow around which, internally, there are conically arranged smoothing means 4 capable of acting, by wearing, around the end of a pushing element, such as a propelling (mechanical) pencil, when the piece 2 rotates when it is pushed axially with said element against the spring 5.
