ESTE PROCESO CONSISTE EN REACCIONAR UN COMPUESTO OXIGENADO DE UN METAL DE TRANSICION COMO 99MTC, 186RE O 188RE, CON UN PRIMER LIGANDO NITROGENADO COMO UN NITRURO DE SODIO O UN COMPUESTO NITROGENADO COMO S - METILO, N - METIL DITIOCARBAZATO, Y UN AGENTE REDUCTOR CONSISTENTE BIEN EN ESTAÑO (II) O EN DITIONITA. EL PRODUCTO ASI OBTENIDO PUEDE UTILIZARSE PARA LA PREPARACION DE PRODUCTOS RADIOFARMACEUTICOS POR REACCION CON UN SEGUNDO LIGANDO COMO DITIOCARBAMATO DE SODIO.
