Abstract
Die Erfindung bezieht sich unter anderem auf ein Verfahren zum Betreiben eines Eisenbahnwagenverbunds (10), der durch einen vorderen Wagen (11) und einen hinteren Wagen (12) begrenzt wird. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass in zumindest einem der beiden genannten Wagen eine Statusangabe (SA) ermittelt wird, die die Position und/oder die Geschwindigkeit dieses Wagens angibt, die Statusangabe (SA) an eine streckenseitige Kommunikationseinrichtung (30) übermittelt wird, die streckenseitige Kommunikationseinrichtung (30) die Statusangabe (SA) an den anderen der beiden genannten Wagen weiterleitet und in dem jeweils anderen der beiden genannten Wagen die empfangene Statusangabe (SA) und eine andere Statusangabe (SA), die die Position und/oder die Geschwindigkeit dieses anderen Wagens angibt, einer Plausibilitätsprüfung unterzogen werden und in dem anderen Wagen eine Sicherungsmaßnahme ausgelöst wird, wenn die Plausibilitätsprüfung eine Trennung des Eisenbahnwagenverbunds (10) anzeigt.
