Definitions

  • Cover in particular base, for tempering living beings
  • the invention relates to a blanket according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the invention also relates to a device for stabilizing and/or fixing a living being, in particular a patient or an injured person, with such a blanket.
  • Such blankets are used in particular as pads for tempering patients or injured people. In principle, however, they can also be placed on the body. Their task is to temper the body and - as a base - to store it as pressure-free as possible.
  • warm air is supplied, for example, from a heater fan and blown into the ceiling.
  • Such blankets are used in particular, but not exclusively, in the medical field in order to prevent heat loss from patients to be treated and/or injured persons.
  • thermal blanket An example of a thermal blanket according to the prior art can be found in DE 10207793 B4.
  • the warm air that is blown in exits via the upper layer of the warming blanket itself directly to the patient lying on it and heats them by convective warm air flow.
  • the object of the invention is to create a ceiling of the type mentioned at the outset, with which the disadvantages mentioned can be avoided.
  • the air does not flow out (or at least not primarily) via the upper layer directly to the patient, but via separate air outlet openings in an edge area of the cover, which is remote from the connection for the air supply.
  • the air then flows out of the ceiling in a controlled manner via these air outlet openings.
  • the air flow can also be specifically adjusted by dimensioning the air outlet openings in such a way that a desired degree of inflation of the thermal blanket is achieved.
  • the air flow according to the invention via separate air outlet openings makes it possible to dissipate moisture coming from the body that enters the interior of the blanket through the upper layer, and thus to keep the blanket essentially free of the penetrating moisture over longer periods of time.
  • the air outlet openings according to the invention also allow the connection of air discharge hoses or the like in order to direct the exhaust air out of an operating area or another sensitive area. This makes it possible to meet high sterility requirements. Provision can also be made for at least one air outlet opening to be arranged in an outlet valve, the flow of which can be shut off or adjusted. This means that the flow of air flowing through the ceiling can be adapted to various purposes.
  • FIG. 1 shows a plan view of an exemplary embodiment of a blanket according to the invention, in particular a thermal underlay
  • FIG. 2 shows a schematic side view of the blanket according to FIG
  • FIG. 3 shows a schematic sectional view according to FIG.
  • FIG. 4 shows the schematic arrangement of the exemplary embodiment of a heating pad according to the invention in an operating theater with external hot air supply and external hot air removal, and
  • FIG. 5 shows an exemplary embodiment of a device according to the invention
  • Device for stabilizing and/or fixing a living being, in particular a patient or an injured person with a cover according to the invention and a granulate-filled covering that can be evacuated.
  • the blanket shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, in particular a warming pad, has an upper layer 1 which faces a living being, in particular a patient or injured person. It can be a human body. In principle, however, the blanket according to the invention is also suitable for animals.
  • a lower layer 2 is provided opposite the upper layer 1 and is connected to the upper layer 1 along the edge 6 in an airtight manner—or essentially in an airtight manner. For example, this can be done in that--as FIG. 3 shows--a beading 4 is provided in the edge area 6, which is sewn to the two layers 1 and 2 (see reference number 5).
  • the air enters from the right via a hose 13 and a connection 7a as well as the actual air inlet openings 7. These are formed in projecting, flexible flaps 25.
  • Two further (smaller) flaps 26 can be placed in the direction of the pivoting arrow of FIG. 2, for example, on a person's shoulders. They are then as shown in dashed lines with 26a in FIG.
  • At least one defined air outlet opening 8 is now provided in an edge region 6 of the ceiling, which is remote from the air inlet openings 7 .
  • two air outlet openings 8 are provided, which are arranged in the lower layer 2 .
  • the air outlet openings can be combined in particular with a further variant of the invention, in which it is provided that the upper layer 2 is designed to be essentially airtight, but preferably permeable to moisture.
  • moisture from the living being lying on it for example sweat or blood, but also other moisture penetrating from above, can first get into the interior of the cover, as indicated by the double arrows 10 in FIG. The moisture or liquid is then no longer disturbingly present on the upper side on which the body, in particular the patient or injured person, is lying.
  • this moisture can now be removed in a targeted manner from the interior of the ceiling to the outside via the air outlet openings 8, with the air being guided through the intermediate layer 3.
  • the intermediate layer 3 is preferably designed as a knitted or woven spacer fabric, which has stiff but flexible spacer threads between two textile layers.
  • the textile layers are denoted by the reference number 11, the spacer threads by the reference number 12 (see FIG. 3).
  • Such knitted or woven spacer fabrics have threads made of polyester, for example.
  • spacer fabrics or spacer fabrics allow the body lying on them to be stored without pressure. At the same time, it is possible to regulate the temperature of the body by means of a targeted supply of warm air via the air inlet openings 7 . In addition to warming up, it is also possible to cool down the body if there is a need for it.
  • the air routing according to the invention makes it possible to bring about targeted, loss-free air flows. You can get by with a smaller fan heater or smaller heating units.
  • the upper layer is designed to be essentially airtight, but preferably permeable to moisture. Due to the airtight design of the upper layer, the air can practically only flow out through the air outlet openings 8 in the case of a lower layer that is also designed to be airtight and the seams are essentially tight. This enables targeted airflow.
  • the air outlet openings 8 can preferably be formed or arranged in the lower layer and thus do not disturb the body lying thereon.
  • the air outlet openings 8 can preferably be designed as circular recesses in the respective position, as indicated in FIG. 1 by dashed lines (circular). Of course, other shapes of the air outlet openings are also possible, for example square or polygonal.
  • At least one air outlet opening has a filter or sieve 14 shown in dashed lines. This means that contamination inside the ceiling can be prevented and the air outlet can also be throttled in a targeted manner.
  • the filter or screen 14 can consist, for example, of a circular, textile fabric which has relatively large individual openings and which is glued to the inside of the lower layer 2 around the opening 8, for example.
  • the lower layer is preferably formed from an airtight and liquid-tight material, for example a plastic film or a coated textile fabric. This prevents moisture that penetrates from above from escaping through the ceiling.
  • Air inlet openings are provided.
  • a small number of air inlet openings and outlet openings also allows hoses for the air supply and possibly also for the air discharge to be easily connected.
  • the air inlet openings 7 on the one hand and the air outlet openings 8 on the other hand are arranged on opposite edge regions 6 of the ceiling.

  • the upper layer is advantageously only slightly permeable to air and preferably essentially airtight. Such a design ensures that essentially all or at least a large part of the air flow can flow in a targeted manner from the air inlet openings to the separate individual air outlet openings.
  • Textile fabrics that form at least one layer of the top layer are suitable as materials for the top layer. These can preferably consist of plastic threads. Such textile fabrics can be easily produced, for example as a woven or knitted fabric.
  • the plastic threads of the textile fabric are preferably polyester threads and particularly preferably with a proportion of over 90%.
  • Carbon fibers can also be used in the textile fabric for stabilization, preferably in a proportion of less than 5%. Carbon fibers are very stable and have high tensile strength, but they are also expensive, which is why a small proportion of carbon fibers is preferable. Apart from reasons of stability or strength, the carbon fibers can also be used to avoid electrostatic charges, as they are electrically conductive.
  • the basis weight of the textile fabric is preferably between 90 g/m 2 and 130 g/m 2 .
