Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a one-handed quick-release fastener for the simple connection and closure of two elements.
  • Such one-hand quick-release fasteners are used, for example, on shoes, orthoses or prostheses.
  • Such closures make it easier to open and close orthoses, prostheses or shoes.
  • hook-and-loop fasteners In the field of orthoses or prostheses, hook-and-loop fasteners, magnetic or electrical fasteners or closures using shoelaces are usually used to fix the orthoses or prostheses.
  • Velcro fasteners contact with clothing or other materials can cause the Velcro fastener to pick up threads or dirt, which means that the fastener loses adhesion over time and closes less well or not at all.
  • shoelaces are difficult to close for people whose freedom of movement is restricted. On the one hand, because both hands are needed to tie shoelaces, on the other hand, because tensile forces are needed to fix them properly.
  • DE 20 2010 010300 U1 describes a closure device that has a first connection module and a second connection module, of which the first connection module can be arranged in a closing direction on the second connection module and is then mechanically locked in a closed position with the second connection module
  • U.S. 2015/059206 A1 describes a component for attachment to an object, comprising a top component and a flange element arranged on the top component.
  • the flange member extends laterally from a lower end of the upper member such that a bottom surface of the flange member is flush with or axially underlying a bottom surface of the upper member.
  • WO 2019/165651 A1 describes a buckle device with a buckle seat and a matching buckle box.
  • a projection is arranged on the buckle box so that the boss fits through a through hole of the buckle seat.
  • the bump is also provided with a notch for locking the buckle seat and the buckle socket.
  • an orthosis, prosthesis and/or a shoe is described below, then in particular an orthotic shoe, a therapeutic or orthopedic shoe with foot-specific dimensions, a foot prosthesis or a foot orthosis is also included.
  • the one-hand quick-release fastener has at least two components. Both parts extend flat in a main extension plane and form a first and a second body. Both base bodies each have a complementary latching element, which is used to connect the two base bodies to one another in such a way that a positive connection is created in at least one direction. In order to then secure this connection, the base bodies each have a closure element which is designed in such a way that they are complementary to one another and connect the two base bodies in a direction in which the connection by the latching element is not yet form-fitting, forming a closure.
  • the closure elements are designed in such a way that one closure element is in the form of an elevation and the other is in the form of a recess, with the elevation engaging in the recess in the closed state.
  • the recess does not have to extend continuously through the entire thickness of the base body.
  • the base body can be closed on the side facing away from the elevation, ie it can have a continuous surface.
  • the thickness of the base body having the recess as a closure element ie the extent of the base body perpendicular to the main plane of extent, is reduced to zero in sections around the recess.
  • the course of the reduced thickness follows that of the inner peripheral edge of the recess.
  • the reduction in thickness serves to make the recess more flexible, thereby facilitating the connection of the recess and the bump.
  • the stiffness of the joint can also be controlled by the size and design of the area of reduced thickness.
  • the latching elements of the one-hand quick-release fastener are preferably designed in such a way that one latching element is designed as a tongue or groove and the other latching element is designed to complement it, i.e. as a groove or tongue, so that both parts can be assembled.
  • the survey is designed in such a way that it has a tongue or groove.
  • the tongue or groove on the elevation is designed in such a way that it is placed at a distance from the free end of the elevation and encircles the elevation completely or only in sections.
  • a complementary groove or tongue formed in the recess runs along the inner peripheral edge of the recess.
  • the elevation with a tongue or groove and the complementary recess with a groove or tongue engage in one another in such a way that they end flush with one another.
  • the closure can thus be secured in such a way that it cannot open itself.
  • the rigidity of the connection can be influenced by the design of the two closure elements or the design of the tongue and groove.
  • the two closure elements more precisely the interlocking combination of tongue and groove, can be designed in such a way that the user receives an acoustic or haptic signal when the closure is closed.
  • This has the advantage that users who are severely restricted in their mobility can rely on this acoustic or haptic signal and do not have to visually check whether the one-hand quick-release fastener is closed.
  • the elevation and the recess complementary thereto can be designed in various geometric shapes. Parallel to the main extension plane of the base body on which the elevation is arranged, the elevation can have an essentially round, semi-circular, oval, elliptical, diamond-shaped or polygonal shape. In the main extension plane of the base body, which contains it, the cutout has the complementary shape to the elevation, so that both the elevation and the cutout can engage in one another in a cohesive manner. Furthermore, it is possible for the elevation to be in the form of a cone, cone segment or pyramid, with a rhombic or polygonal base, and for the recess to be in the form complementary thereto.
  • the advantage of the different shapes is that the shape can be used to adjust the rigidity of the closure and thus how difficult it is to open or close the closure.
  • the one-hand quick-release fastener can have an attachment area that is attached to one of the base bodies. This attachment area is used to attach the one-handed quick release fastener to a surface.
  • the one-hand quick-release fastener can be integrated into a surface, which does not necessarily require an attachment area.
  • the attachment area can be designed, for example, as a tab that corresponds in width to the base body and has a thickness that is less than or equal to that of the base body.
  • the end of the attachment area facing away from the base body can be designed, for example, in a rectangular, round or oval shape.
  • the attachment area can also include a continuous opening, which can further facilitate attachment, since it can, for example, fix the position of the attachment part on an orthosis, a prosthesis or a shoe if it has an elevation that fits into the opening, for example.
  • At least one of the base bodies can be attached to an orthosis, a prosthesis or a shoe by sewing, gluing, riveting or screwing.
  • the base body that does not have an attachment area can have openings that serve to accommodate a bracket, a cord or a cord and such can also be attached.
  • This bracket, this cord or this cord serve to connect the one-hand quick-release fastener with, for example, the Velcro fastener or the shoelaces of an orthosis, a prosthesis or a shoe and to close the orthosis, the prosthesis or the shoe with it.
  • this bracket, this cord or this cord can also itself serve as a closure for the shoe.
  • a device with which the length of the cord or cord can be adjusted can be arranged on the end of the cord or cord facing away from the quick-release fastener. This makes it possible to adjust the width of the opening closed by the quick-release fastener by changing and adjusting the length of the cord or cord by the user.
  • the prostheses, orthoses or shoes can have, for example, a clamping mechanism or a winding mushroom.
  • the length of the cord or cord can be finely adjusted by wrapping the end of the cord or cord opposite the one-handed quick release buckle around the mushroom or clamping the end of the cord or cord opposite the one-handed quick release buckle in the clamping mechanism.
  • the base body that does not have the attachment area can also have a surface profile at the end of the base body opposite the latching element on the surface facing away from the other base body.
  • the surface profiling serves to make it easier for the user to open and close the one-hand quick-release fastener. This can be designed, for example, in the form of parallel elevations or incisions on or in the surface, or as a perforated elevation.
  • the base body that does not have the attachment area is longer than the base body that has the attachment area. Since the attachment area can be designed as a tab that is thinner than the base body and is attached to its side facing away from the other base body, this creates an overhang of the das Attachment area not containing the base body compared to the attachment area containing the base body. This allows the overhang to be undercut. This makes it easier to grasp the overhanging body and increases the leverage required to tighten a clip, cord or string attached to the closure.
  • the lever is located between the openings containing the bracket, cord or cord and the end of the body.
  • the lever can be designed in such a way that it allows a force development in a range of 0-400 N.
  • the base body which does not contain the attachment area, can have a substantially round shape at the end facing away from the latching element. While the base bodies essentially have a rectangular or elongated shape in a direction parallel to the main plane of extension, they are not restricted to this shape and can also have other shapes. For example, the end of the base body opposite the latching element can have a substantially round, oval or polygonal shape.
  • the base body that does not have the attachment area can also taper towards this end at the end facing away from the latching element on the surface facing the other base body.
  • the base bodies are preferably of a size in which the width B is greater than or equal to 15 mm but less than or equal to 50 mm.
  • the length L of the base body should be in a range of 15 mm and 40 mm (both limit values included or excluded).
  • the thickness D of the base body should be in the range of 3 mm ⁇ D ⁇ 10 mm.
  • the size of the base body can be chosen so that it can be adapted to the needs of the patient. For example, smaller base bodies can be selected for children, or particularly large base bodies can be selected for people with limited hand mobility.
  • the materials used to produce the one-hand quick-release fastener are preferably plastics and materials that are used in additive manufacturing processes, e.g. B. can be used in 3D printing processes.
  • a web can be placed between the latching element of the base body containing the elevation and this very elevation.
  • the other base body can have a recess between the latching element and the recess complementary to the elevation.
  • This recess is designed in such a way that it encompasses the web.
  • complementary tongues and grooves can again be attached along the web and the recess, which run either continuously or in sections. Which of the two parts, web or recess, has the tongue and which has the groove can be freely selected.
  • the web and the complementary recess of the two base bodies increase safety when assembling the closure, since this prevents the base bodies from slipping relative to one another in a direction perpendicular to the direction of extension of the locking elements and parallel to the main plane of extension of the base body.
  • the survey on one base body is placed on the base body in such a way that the survey is located in the center of the base body in a direction parallel to the direction in which the latching elements extend and is placed at the end opposite the latching element.
  • the elevation does not have to be placed directly on the edge, but can also be located at some distance from the end of the base body.
  • the complementary recess of the other base body is placed in such a way that, when closed, it accommodates and encloses the elevation.
  • the latching elements of the two base bodies can advantageously also have complementary tongues and grooves, with the first latching element having a tongue or groove that is designed continuously or in sections, and the second latching element has a complementary groove or tongue that is the same as the tongue or groove of the first locking element is configured continuously or in sections.
  • the combination of tongue and groove enables the two parts to no longer be displaced in relation to one another after they have been assembled in one direction along the latching elements, thus enabling the closure to be closed more easily.
  • the latching element designed as a groove can preferably be designed as a catch projection into which the latching element designed as a tongue complementary to the groove can engage.
  • the gripping projection designed as a groove can have a concave inner and/or outer wall in a plane parallel to the main extension plane and in a direction perpendicular to the course of the locking element.
  • the locking element designed as a spring can have a convex shape in the same direction. Other options for designing the locking element are that it is flat, polygonal or designed in any other shape.
  • the locking elements can be formed over the entire width of the base body or only in sections. In this case, in sections means that along the course of the latching element, for example, projections only exist at the ends and there is a gap in the middle between them.
  • latching elements are primarily used to design them in such a way that assembly can take place as easily and precisely as possible and when the closure is closed the base bodies do not slip against one another, thereby making closure more difficult.
  • the elevation is preferably formed in such a way that the height of the elevation corresponds to the thickness D of the base body not containing the elevation and the free end of the elevation in the closed state is flush with the surface of the other base body. This enables the user to visually and haptically register the correct locking of the closure.
  • the present invention also relates in particular to the following optional developments of a one-hand quick-release fastener, an orthosis, a prosthesis or a shoe.
  • a one-hand quick-release fastener as described above according to one of the claims characterized in that the base body, which does not have the attachment area, has a substantially round shape at the end opposite the latching element of the base body in a plane parallel to the main plane of extension.
