Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a method for operating a household dishwasher, a household dishwasher and a system with a household dishwasher and a device external to the household dishwasher.
  • spray arms to spray the items to be washed with washing liquid, in particular water and detergent, and to remove dirt from the items to be washed.
  • Such spray arms are usually driven by the water pressure of the circulation pump.
  • Another option for driving the spray arm is to drive it directly using a drive comprising an electric motor.
  • the washing program or the washing sequence is usually stored as a fixed process in the software of the control device of the household dishwasher. The sequence can, however, be changed by signals from various sensors during operation.
  • the use of so-called intensive rinsing zones is known for more intensive rinsing of dishes in certain areas of the washing container of the household dishwasher.
  • the document DE10162505 A1 the possibility of selecting an intensive rinsing zone manually on the device or via an optical sensor arranged in the rinsing tank.
  • the document also shows DE10156157 A1 a method for identifying dishes using a camera.
  • the WO 2017/032629 A1 describes a water-conducting household appliance with a detection unit for detecting a type of wash ware during loading of the wash ware into the water-conducting household appliance and a dispensing unit for dispensing a signal carrying an indication for a user depending on the type of washware detected.
  • one object of the present invention is to further improve the operation of a household dishwasher.
  • the external device is in particular a mobile device.
  • the mobile device is, for example, a smartphone, a tablet or a tablet computer.
  • the household dishwasher comprises a communication unit which, for example, transmits the optical sensor signal to the mobile device or an application (app) installed on a user's mobile device via a network.
  • the network includes in particular a mobile network, a WLAN and/or another wireless or wired data network.
  • the control device can be implemented in hardware and/or software.
  • the control device can be designed as a computer or as a microprocessor, for example.
  • the control device can be designed as a computer program product, as a function, as a routine, as part of a program code or as an executable object.
  • the control device is designed to carry out a washing program from a number of washing programs for washing the items to be washed.
  • a washing program comprises, for example, various sub-program steps, such as pre-washing, cleaning, rinsing and/or drying.
  • Different washing programs differ, for example, in the order and/or type of sub-program steps, as well as in various parameters, such as the duration and/or washing solution temperature of one or more sub-program steps.
  • items to be washed are placed in the washing chamber, in particular on one or more items to be washed.
  • the items to be washed include in particular various dishes, cutlery and/or tools that are used for preparing, storing and/or eating food. These include, for example, plates, pots, cups, knives, glasses and the like.
  • the items to be washed therefore include in particular objects made of different materials, such as porcelain, glass, wood, metal and/or plastic.
  • the optical sensor is designed in particular as an optoelectronic sensor that provides an analog electrical signal as a function of an optical signal as the optical sensor signal.
  • This offers the advantage that the optical sensor can be manufactured and used on a microchip in an integrated design and thus saves space and material and is cost-effective.
  • the analog electrical signal can be converted into a digital signal with little effort, for example using an A/D converter, and then processed digitally.
  • the external device with the optical sensor is held or arranged by the user in particular such that the optical sensor can detect an optical sensor signal from the washing chamber and in particular from the items to be washed arranged in the washing chamber. This is fulfilled, for example, if there is a line of sight from the washing chamber to the optical sensor. Furthermore, it can be provided to use several optical sensors, each of the optical sensors detecting an optical sensor signal from an area assigned to the optical sensor.
  • the optical sensor is in particular designed to detect the optical sensor signal over a broad spectral range, which in particular is not limited to the optical spectral range.
  • the optical sensor comprises, for example, a camera, in particular a digital camera, for example with a CCD sensor (CCD: Charged Coupled Device).
  • the camera captures, for example, an image and/or a sequence of images of the washing chamber and in particular of the items to be washed arranged therein.
  • the optical sensor can detect an optical sensor signal, for example an image, and one or more intensive rinsing zones can be defined depending on this detected image.
  • the optical sensor of an external device such as the camera of a mobile device, such as the user's smartphone, is not used to detect the optical sensor signal.
  • this is more cost-effective, since most users regularly carry a smartphone with a camera with them, meaning that the integration of a costly optical sensor in the household dishwasher can advantageously be dispensed with.
  • the user can control the recording of the image themselves and also take various recordings or a sequence of recordings, which can serve as the basis for determining at least one intensive rinsing zone.
  • the following example can illustrate the function of the present method.
  • a user or customer takes a photo of the loaded dish rack using his smartphone.
  • An app installed on the smartphone recognizes the load and can decide at which point in the washing container an intensive rinsing zone is required or not. is helpful. For example, if pots, pans or casserole dishes are detected, an intensive rinsing zone is preferably defined in this detected area.
  • An intensive rinsing zone or intensive rinsing zone is characterized in particular by the fact that either the rinsing pressure at the rinsing nozzles for this area is increased and/or the spray device remains in one position for a longer period of time in order to supply the items to be washed with rinsing liquid in the area of the intensive rinsing zone. Furthermore, the spray device can also oscillate over a certain area of the intensive rinsing zone.
  • the customer also has the option of defining a specific area in the washing container as an intensive washing zone, which they use as their preferred place for heavily soiled items, such as pots.
  • This setting can be saved in the app, especially until the customer changes such a setting again. Alternatively, such a setting can be requested again via the app every time the household dishwasher's program is started.
  • such an automatic function can influence all spray levels of the household dishwasher, even if only one spray device, for example a spray arm, with direct drive is provided.
  • all spray arms of the household dishwasher are directly controlled by means of a direct drive.
  • the rinsing sequence of the selected rinsing program can be influenced by determining at least one intensive rinsing zone before the program starts.
  • the rinsing sequence is optimized depending on the load of the rinsing container, determined by the optical sensor signal.
  • the intensive rinsing zones can also be designed variably, either automatically, for example, by an app or the device control of the household dishwasher. or by the customer depending on their user input on the app. This allows individual areas in the washing container to be designated as intensive washing zones depending on the load.
  • a camera is used as the optical sensor, wherein the optical sensor signal comprises an image of the rinsing chamber.
  • the image of the rinsing chamber then forms the basis for determining at least one intensive rinsing zone.
  • the at least one intensive rinsing zone is determined by the user by means of his user input on the external device, for example a mobile device.
  • the application on the mobile device can advantageously support the user in selecting and determining the intensive rinsing zones using graphic representations.
  • the at least one intensive rinsing zone is determined automatically by the application on the external device.
  • this embodiment does not require any active interaction by the user or customer when determining the intensive rinsing zone or intensive rinsing zones.
  • control parameters preferably specific to the different washing programs, are stored on the external device and adjusted if necessary depending on the currently recorded image. In this way, the control parameters and thus the operation of the household dishwasher can be optimized.
  • the method comprises illuminating the rinsing chamber during detection of the optical sensor signal by means of the optical sensor of the external device.
  • a lighting device of the external device can be used.
  • a lighting device can also be provided in the domestic dishwasher, which illuminates the washing chamber.
