  • the torsion spring moves the elongate arms 121, 122 apart and releases the hair. The user can then repeat this action for different portions of their hair to produce a desired style.
  • the user moves the two elongate arms 121, 122 together and operates the lock switch 160 to lock the arms together.
  • the user can operate the button 151 to raise the clamp 107 away from the second styling surface 105 of the second elongate arm 122.
  • the user can then wrap their hair around the hemi-frustoconical second styling surface 105 and can operate the button 151 to move the clamp down against the user's hair and the second styling surface 105 and hold for a desired time.
  • the user can then operate the button 151 again to release their hair and can repeat the action for different sections of their hair until the desired style is achieved.
  • the user can simply wrap their hair around all of the styling part of the device, including the clamp 107, when the clamp 107 is abutting the outer styling surface.
  • a third embodiment of a hair styling apparatus illustrated generally by reference numeral 201.
  • the lock 260 of the apparatus 201 is located along the length of the handle 206 of the hair styling apparatus 201 and is operable from a slide button 270 located on the first elongate arm 221.

  • the catch 272 is operably engaged with the slide button 270 and pivots out of the recess 271 when the button 270 is moved towards the styling part 204.
  • the catch 272 is hook-shaped and the corresponding recess is shaped to receive the hook. It will be apparent that any suitable releasable locking mechanism may be used and is within the scope of the invention.

Claims (14)

  1. Appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) ayant une pluralité de modes pour coiffer des cheveux de diverses manières, comprenant :
    au moins deux composants allongés (2) comprenant des premier et second bras allongés (21, 22, 121, 122, 221, 222) accouplés de manière pivotante autour d'un raccord (3, 103), les au moins deux composants allongés (2) étant déplaçables de manière pivotante autour du raccord (3, 103) entre des positions écartée et fermée ;
    chaque composant allongé (2) comprenant une partie de coiffure (4, 5, 104, 105, 204) et un manche (6, 106, 206), les parties de coiffure (4, 5, 104, 105, 204) pouvant être placées le long d'une portion des composants allongés (2) située à proximité d'une extrémité des composants allongés (2) et les manches (6, 106, 206) pouvant être placés le long d'une portion des composants allongés (2) située à proximité de l'extrémité opposée des composants allongés (2) relativement aux parties de coiffure (4, 5, 104, 105, 204), le raccord (3, 103) entre les au moins deux composants allongés (2) étant situé à proximité des extrémités des manches (6, 106, 206) situées à distance des parties de coiffure (4, 5, 104, 105, 204) ;
    l'appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) comprenant, en outre, une pièce de serrage (7, 107) accouplée à l'un des au moins deux composants allongés (2), la pièce de serrage (7, 107) étant déplaçable entre une première position ouverte et une seconde position fermée lorsque la pièce de serrage (7, 107) est accouplée au composant allongé (2) ;
    et un moyen d'alimentation en énergie ;
    l'aire en section transversale de la partie de coiffure (4, 5, 104, 105, 204) diminuant le long de la totalité de sa longueur et l'appareil de coiffure comprenant une surface de coiffure intérieure (25), une première partie de coiffure (4, 104, 204) du premier bras allongé (21, 121, 221) et une première partie de coiffure (4, 104, 204) du second bras allongé (22, 122, 222) coopérant lorsqu'elles sont amenées de manière pivotante à la position fermée de façon à définir une surface de coiffure extérieure, l'appareil de coiffure comprenant un moyen de chauffage, le moyen d'alimentation en énergie étant en prise de manière fonctionnelle avec le moyen de chauffage, les surfaces de coiffure extérieure et intérieure et la pièce de serrage étant chauffées par le moyen de chauffage, l'appareil de coiffure comprenant un moyen de sélection de mode (42), le moyen de sélection de mode (42) comprenant un moyen pour déterminer lesquelles parmi la surface de coiffure intérieure, la surface de coiffure extérieure et la pièce de serrage doivent être chauffées.
  2. Appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) selon la revendication 1, dans lequel le premier bras allongé (21, 121, 221) et le second bras allongé (22, 122, 222) comprennent chacun la première partie de coiffure (4, 104, 204), une seconde partie de coiffure (5, 105) et le manche (6, 106, 206), et dans lequel la première partie de coiffure (4, 104, 204) du premier bras allongé (21, 121, 221) est placée en correspondance avec la première partie de coiffure (4, 104, 204) du second bras allongé (22, 122, 222), la seconde partie de coiffure (5, 105) du premier bras allongé (21, 121, 221) est placée en correspondance avec la seconde partie de coiffure (5, 105) du second bras allongé (22, 122, 222), et le manche (6, 106) du premier bras allongé (21, 121, 221) est placé en correspondance avec le manche (6, 106, 206) du second bras allongé (22, 122, 222).
  3. Appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) selon la revendication 1 ou la revendication 2, dans lequel la surface de coiffure extérieure est globalement de forme conique.
  4. Appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) selon la revendication 3, dans lequel les premières parties de coiffure (4, 104, 204) des premier (21, 121, 221) et second (22, 122, 222) bras allongés sont semi-coniques et définissent une surface de coiffure extérieure de forme globalement conique de l'appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) lorsqu'elles sont mises en contact l'une avec l'autre.
  5. Appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel la surface de coiffure intérieure (5, 25) est définie par des surfaces opposées des au moins deux composants allongés (21, 22, 121, 122, 221, 222).
  6. Appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel la surface de coiffure intérieure (5, 25) comprend des plaques (25) dont la largeur diminue proportionnellement à la largeur de la première partie de coiffure (4, 104, 204) respectivement le long de la longueur des premier (21, 121, 221) et second (22, 122, 222) bras allongés.
  7. Appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel la pièce de serrage (7, 107) comprend un levier d'actionnement (31) et une plaque incurvée (32) et dans lequel la pièce de serrage (7, 107) est attachée de manière pivotante à au moins un des au moins deux bras allongés (21, 22, 121, 122, 221, 222) de l'appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) à proximité des premières parties de coiffure (4, 104, 204) respectives.
  8. Appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel la pièce de serrage (7, 107) comprend une plaque allongée (32), la plaque allongée (32) présentant une forme et une longueur correspondant à celles de la surface de coiffure extérieure de l'appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201).
  9. Appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, l'appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) comprenant, en outre, un moyen de régulation de chaleur (41), le moyen de régulation de chaleur (41) régulant la température à laquelle le moyen de chauffage chauffe la surface de coiffure extérieure, la surface de coiffure intérieure et/ou au moins une partie de la pièce de serrage (7, 107).
  10. Appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, l'appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) comprenant un moyen de sûreté (150) servant à empêcher un déplacement de la main de l'utilisateur du manche (6, 106, 206) vers la partie de coiffure (4, 104, 204, 5, 105, 205) lors de l'utilisation.
  11. Appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, l'appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) comprenant un mécanisme de blocage (160, 260) actionnable pour bloquer les composants allongés (21, 22, 121, 122, 221, 222) en position accolée.
  12. Appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) selon la revendication 11, dans lequel le mécanisme de blocage (160, 260) est en prise de manière fonctionnelle avec le moyen de sélection de mode (42) de telle sorte qu'un actionnement du mécanisme de blocage (160, 260) actionne également le moyen de sélection de mode (42).
  13. Appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) selon la revendication 11 ou 12, dans lequel le mécanisme de blocage (160, 260) comprend un bouton de blocage (270) et dans lequel le bouton de blocage (270) et le moyen de sélection de mode (42) sont réalisés sous la forme d'un composant d'un seul tenant.
  14. Appareil de coiffure (1, 101, 201) selon la revendication 12, dans lequel, lorsque le mécanisme de blocage (160, 260) se trouve dans la position débloquée, le moyen de sélection de mode (42) permet à la première partie de coiffure (4, 104, 204) du premier bras allongé (21, 121, 221) et/ou du second bras allongé (22, 122, 222) d'être chauffée et/ou dans lequel, lorsque le mécanisme de blocage (160, 260) se trouve dans la position bloquée, le moyen de sélection de mode (42) permet à la surface de coiffure extérieure d'être chauffée.
