Definitions

  • the invention relates to a strength training device according to the features of claim 1.
  • the load on the muscles when training with static masses is constant and monotonous. For example, when lifting a 10 kg dumbbell, the muscles are always loaded with a force of 10 kg throughout the entire training period, regardless of whether the arm with the weight is moved up or down or the arm is just passively hung. This load does not allow for relaxation during training. You have to take frequent training breaks and put the mass down in order to relax the muscles and the To relax tendons and then start the strain again and again.
  • a cylindrical disc similar to those used for fitness training, is mounted on a bearing-mounted shaft.
  • the shaft is rotated by the tangential application of a tensile force on a flexible belt that is first wound around the shaft. Due to the stored kinetic energy, the shaft continues to rotate along with the disc, even after the belt is completely unwound. This causes the belt to be wound in the other direction without the aid of muscle power (like a "yo-yo").
  • the training or therapy device is basically constructed from the following main modules: Power module (such as 1, or 99 to 104), with or without an outer casing, provided with various couplings for the attachment of various adapters such as 2.
  • the power module has a bearing-mounted shaft such as 12.1, on which one or more flywheel masses such as 13 are placed.
  • a tension element 3 is attached to the shaft, preferably elastically/damping, which protrudes from the power module in the opposite direction to the coupling 2.
  • a fixed or stiff (rigid) handle 4 or one equipped with a removable/roll-up coupling etc. is provided, or a body cuff as in Fig. 76 to 81 pictured, attached.
  • the training device comprises a fastening module 2 in various designs, tension elements 3 for exerting force (for example, in the form of a band, a belt, a cord, etc.), and preferably an ergonomic handle 4, which can have a coupling between the tension element and the handle for fastening and/or uncoupling.
  • the tension element 3 is thus generally flexible and/or rollable, i.e., in particular, band- or belt-like.
  • a sleeve adapter (or "body cuff”) can also be provided, which is useful when other body parts are to be trained or treated with the device according to the invention.
  • a braking system (not shown) and a switching system can also be installed between the rotating shaft 12 and the static housing 20.
  • This system automatically activates the brake if, for example, the user no longer has the handle 4 in their hand during operation, and serves to protect against possible damage to the device.
  • the fastening of the tension element 3 to the shaft 12 can be realized in a variety of ways, but preferably in a very simple way, as shown in Figures 10b to 11d, namely as follows: the tension element 3 is inserted into a through hole 25 and the end is inserted back in. This creates a loop into which a pin or wedge 81 is inserted, i.e., pushed in (see also Figures 10b to 11d).
  • the housing 20 can have transparent walls or windows so that the rotating flywheels 13 are visible from the outside.
  • the flywheels 13 can have a decorative element, such as a logo or "glitter elements” such as semi-crystals or LEDs, etc., on at least one side.
  • (Hall) sensors for measuring the rotational speed of the flywheel masses sensors for force measurement, LCD or other types of (LCD or other types of) displays, LED lighting, etc. are attached to the force module (including the housing 20).
  • the special feature of this preferred construction is the simple, modular design and, above all, the fastening options for the strength device 1 (see Figures 12 to 16 and 25 to 28).
  • a further axial bore 35 is provided, extending over a partial length, which serves as a recess for coupling elements (which may, for example, have a round or other profile cross-section, which will be discussed later).
  • the aforementioned recess 32 ( Figure 16 ) serves, for example, as a recess for inserting or attaching a spirit level, sensors, lighting elements (LED), etc. There are no restrictions in this regard.
  • the mentioned recess 30 serves to guide a strap to firmly attach the mentioned fastening module 2, for example, to a (possibly thinner) post.
  • the aforementioned "cabinet” can be hung on the wall, and one or more of the interior compartments can be filled with power batteries.
  • the training power generator is placed inside the cabinet, and a "hotplate” or other cooking appliances powered by the electricity generated by the device could be placed above the cabinet. This creates a more complex, completely energy-independent "cooking ensemble” that can be used in simpler households or on the go, for expeditions, or in emergency situations, etc.
  • a foldable wedge device 81.1 is shown for fastening the tension element 3 in the wedge-shaped recess KA in the shaft 12.2. As mentioned, for example, the end of the belt strap is wrapped around this foldable wedge device 81.1, with the two legs of the foldable wedge device 81.1 projecting toward the tapered receiving space.
  • the Figures 10.4a to 10.4f show the above-mentioned foldable wedge device 81.1 with the belt end surrounding it, which is inserted into the corresponding recess KA.
  • Figure 32d Based on Figure 32d is a cross-sectional view along the line AA of Figure 32b reproduced.
  • the Figure 32d The circularly framed section is shown in an enlarged view in Figure 32e.
  • the unfolded suitcase can be placed, for example, on a floor surface, with an anchoring section of the force module 1 being attached to its upper or outer side in its central region.
  • an anchoring section of the force module 1 being attached to its upper or outer side in its central region.
  • a stop limit is provided so that the two suitcase halves are held in their open position when the anchoring section is inserted.
  • case 61 i.e. also the case halves 62a and 62b
  • case halves 62a and 62b is/are preferably made of lightweight plastic material or foam material
  • the outer surfaces 212a and 212b of the two case halves 62a, 62b are provided with a corresponding force-absorbing hard plate (for example made of hard plastic or wood or metal, etc.) so that the case halves cannot be damaged in the described use when a person stands with both feet on the unfolded case halves in order to train in the strength module 1.
  • a corresponding force-absorbing hard plate for example made of hard plastic or wood or metal, etc.
  • the force module is fixed inside the unfolded hard plates 212, using the reinforcement elements 211.
  • the outer end of the tension element 3 is connected to a unique handle, which can be ring-shaped or linear (straight), but also as known in the art.
  • a handle is chosen where the tension element is rolled up to the desired length within the handle, e.g., on a spool with the help of a tensioned ribbon/coil spring (see also Figures 21 24 ).
  • the described handle and/or the coupling explained in this context, as well as other parts of the handle can also be used in completely different ways, e.g. with completely different sports or training equipment.
  • the fastening or loosening of the belt is carried out, for example, by operating a button or pivoting lever 5 which is mounted on the handle.
  • the handle works similarly or can be a "belt-retractable leash", as for example in US Patent 7,168,393 described, whereby the length of the belt can be continuously adjusted.
  • Control switches, buttons, or potentiometers for adjusting the rotational energy, lighting, or sound (displaying all training data) could be placed on the handlebar.
  • Control information will be provided remotely or via electrical wiring installed in the traction elements.
  • a special handle is used, as shown in the Figures 21 and 22 or as in the Figures 21 to 24 or 86 to 88 shown, is preferably used.
  • a handle 4 allows the strength training device to be used with one or both hands, whereby the pulling/training force is always applied “centrally.”
  • the handle 4 has two side handles 40, a center handle/central handle 41, and a "center curve" 44, which connects to the pulling element 3.
  • the connection between the handle 4 and the pulling element 3 is created with the aid of a coupling 5.
  • recesses 42 and 43 were provided, allowing for better adaptation to the index and middle fingers.
  • the Figures 23 to 24 show a modular handle in a partial perspective view.
  • the side handles 40 are mounted on a tube 93.
  • the tube 93 can rotate within a guide in the central arch 44 and can be secured against rotation with the aid of pins or similar, thus determining the length of the tension element 3.
  • the tension element 3 rolls up within the spool 92.
  • FIG. 24a to 24c a simplified or only schematically illustrated housing 20 for the force module 1 is shown with an anchoring section 358 preferably rearwardly facing the tension opening for the tension element 3.
  • This anchoring section 358 can, for example, as can be seen from the Figures 70, 71, 72 , 72a and 73 is shown, ultimately be used to form, for example, a vertical pivot axis for attachment to an adapter, which in turn can be attached to a fixed wall, post or the like.
  • FIG. 24a to 24c A simplified representation of a force module 1 with the associated anchoring section 358 or 58 is now shown (which, for example, as in Figure 73 may consist of a hollow cylinder).
  • the force module can ultimately be mounted in a variety of places using a mounting module 2, in particular in a stationary manner, and if necessary in a pivotable manner.
  • handle sections 4a and 4b are inserted and/or fastened to the anchoring section 358 on the two opposite end faces, for example by means of a screw engagement.
  • the strength training device 1 with the associated handle 4 can be stored particularly advantageously and inexpensively in a case specially adapted for the training device, as shown in Figures 31 and 32 as well as 31a and 31b, wherein the handle 4, in the packaged state, simultaneously serves as the handle for the entire unit consisting of the power tool and packaging.
  • This case 61 can be cut/cast/pressed/carved from foam, Styrofoam, cardboard, wood, etc., whereby the half-parts or case halves (or case box and case lid) 62a and 62b can even be designed identically. In this respect, there are no fundamental restrictions regarding the materials used or the shape.
  • the case itself preferably does not have its own "handle,” but rather that the handle of the device simultaneously serves as the handle for the entire case.
  • the carrying function of the packaged device is taken over by the inserted handle 4, which protrudes and projects outwards with its central handle 41.
  • the recess (the hole 60), through which the mask 8 becomes visible. This recess could also be formed by a transparent window or by a continuous, preferably transparent, wall section of the case material.
  • the force exerted during training is often exerted almost exclusively through the hands.
  • the invention allows all other parts of the body to be directly stressed, whereby the training force is increased by the "Power sheaths" are transmitted directly to various parts of the body (as shown in Figures 76 to 81).
