Claims (14)

  1. A vacuum system comprising
    a vacuum device, in particular a vacuum pump;
    a functional element, in particular a drive device, for the vacuum device; and
    an adapter (10) by means of which the vacuum device is or can be connected to the functional element in an IT regard,
    wherein the adapter (10) comprises:
    a base element (12);
    a first and a second primary plug connector (18, 24), each for connection to one of the vacuum device and the functional element, wherein the primary plug connectors (18, 24) are connected to one another; and
    a module (14) which is separate from the base element (12), which has the first primary plug connector (18) and which is fastened to the base element (12),
    wherein the base element (12) and the module (14) each have an intermediate connector (26, 28), said intermediate connectors (26, 28) together forming an intermediate connection via which the first primary plug connector (18) is connected to the second primary plug connector (24).
  2. A vacuum system in accordance with claim 1,
    wherein the module (14) can be arranged in at least two different spatial arrangements at the base element (12).
  3. A vacuum system in accordance with claim 2,
    wherein a difference between two possible arrangements of the module (14) comprises a rotation of the first primary plug connector (18), preferably by 90° or 180°.
  4. A vacuum system in accordance with claim 2 or claim 3,
    wherein an association of contacts (36) of the first primary plug connector (18) with contacts of the second primary plug connector (24) is the same in both arrangements.
  5. A vacuum system in accordance with at least one of the preceding claims, wherein the base element (12) and the intermediate connector (26) of the base element (12) are configured such that different modules (14) comprising primary plug connectors (18) can be attached to the base element (12).
  6. A vacuum system in accordance with at least one of the preceding claims, wherein the intermediate connectors (26, 28) are configured as plug connectors.
  7. A vacuum system in accordance with at least one of the preceding claims, wherein the intermediate connection (28) is configured as a releasable connection.
  8. A vacuum system in accordance with at least one of the preceding claims, wherein the intermediate connection (26, 28) is designed such that the intermediate connector (28) of the module (14) can be connected to the intermediate connector (26) of the base element (12) in different orientations of the module (14).
  9. A vacuum system in accordance with at least one of the preceding claims, wherein the base element (12) and/or the module (14) is/are configured as a solid body.
  10. A vacuum system in accordance with at least one of the preceding claims, wherein the base element (12) has a second intermediate connector (30) for connecting a module comprising a primary plug connector.
  11. A vacuum system in accordance with claim 10,
    wherein the second intermediate connector (30) is covered by a cover (16).
  12. A vacuum system in accordance with at least one of the preceding claims, wherein the module (14) can be selectively arranged at a first side of the base element (12) or at a second side of the base element (12) which is preferably disposed opposite the first side.
  13. A vacuum system in accordance with at least one of the preceding claims, comprising a second module which has the second primary plug connector, wherein an intermediate connector is in each case provided at the base element and at the second module, said intermediate connectors together forming a second intermediate connection.
  14. A vacuum system in accordance with at least one of the preceding claims, wherein at least one of the primary plug connectors (18, 24) is a D-sub connector.
