Definitions

  • the invention relates to a steam cooking appliance with an evaporator unit that has a water container and with which water can be evaporated by a heating element and the steam generated by the evaporator unit can be made available in a cooking chamber muffle of the steam cooking appliance.
  • Ovens are known that also offer the option of preparing food by generating steam in the cooking chamber, with a distinction being made essentially between external and internal steam generation, with bursts of steam being generated during preparation, which are directed into the cooking chamber or only generated there will.
  • Known steam cooking devices have, for example, an evaporator unit with a water tank arranged on the bottom of the cooking chamber muffle.
  • the water container is often also referred to as an evaporator dish.
  • This arrangement is disadvantageous in that, for example, the water vapor generated near the floor can condense on an underside of a food support located in the cooking chamber, so that sufficient water vapor cannot be supplied to the food to be cooked placed on the food support, which can have a negative effect on the cooking result.
  • EP 1 429 583 A2 discloses a microwave oven having a cooking cavity and a removable steam generating container attached with magnets to a side wall within the cooking cavity.
  • a steamer having the features of claim 1. According to the invention, this can be achieved in a steamer according to the preamble of claim 1 in that a wall part of the water tank facing the cooking chamber is essentially flush with the cooking chamber facing wall part of the cooking chamber muffle is arranged. Flush is to be understood to mean that an offset of up to 3mm between the two wall parts can also be possible.
  • a steam cooking appliance should be understood as meaning any household appliance which cooks food placed in a cooking chamber by means of steam and/or improves the result of the food to be cooked. It goes without saying that the steam cooking appliance can be both a cooking appliance, for example an oven, with a steam function in which there are other heat sources in the form of radiators, for example, in addition to the steam produced, and a steam cooking appliance that uses only steam for heating/cooking Food used can be.
  • the wall part of the water container is arranged essentially flush with the wall part of the cooking chamber muffle.
  • the water tank of the evaporator unit in its installed position i.e. the state in which the water tank is brought into a position provided for this purpose on/in the steam cooking appliance, has a wall part facing the cooking chamber which is connected to a wall part facing the cooking chamber of the Garraummuffel is arranged essentially flush.
  • the wall part of the water container overlaps the wall part of the cooking chamber muffle. That is, the wall part of the water container can protrude in the direction of the cooking space with respect to the wall part of the cooking space.
  • the wall part of the water tank can protrude/protrude in the direction of the cooking chamber in relation to the wall part of the cooking chamber muffle by a distance which corresponds to the wall thickness of the wall part of the water tank.
  • the wall thicknesses of the water tank are preferably very thin in a non-limiting range of 0.5 mm to 5 mm, the arrangement of the wall part of the water tank with the wall part of the cooking chamber muffle is still to be understood as flush. That is, in this embodiment, the overlap is present between the two abutting wall portions.
  • the interior space of the water tank can be formed/delimited in a non-limiting manner by a predetermined number of wall parts and a bottom part.
  • the bottom part is formed by a specific section of a wall part.
  • the wall part of the water tank facing the cooking space directly forms a wall part of the water tank, which can be in contact with water.
  • a wall part delimiting the interior space of the water container is arranged on the wall part of the water container that faces the cooking space and/or is in contact with it. In other words, a to absorb water be arranged or attached to the wall part facing the cooking space. It would thus be theoretically possible to attach water tanks of different sizes to the wall part of the same.
  • the water tank of the evaporator unit can preferably be made of plastic. It is conceivable that the water container has a color that essentially corresponds to the color of the non-cooker. However, the color of the water tank is not limited to this.
  • the wall part of the cooking chamber muffle is a side wall of the cooking chamber muffle.
  • the water container of the evaporator unit is arranged on/in a side wall of the cooking chamber muffle. This allows easy and safe removal on the one hand and good accessibility when inserting on the other hand.
  • the evaporator unit or the water tank of the evaporator unit can be provided on the left and/or right side wall.
  • a steam outlet of the evaporator unit can be designed in such a way that the water vapor can reach the food to be cooked on the food support at any insertion height.
  • the steam outlet of the evaporator unit can be arranged above the top slot height of the steamer.
  • the terms below/above, below/above or the like refer to the installation position of the steam cooking appliance.
  • the wall part has at least one steam outlet opening.
  • the steam outlet opening or the plurality of steam outlet openings can be formed, for example, by bores, recesses or the like.
  • the water container of the evaporator unit can be inserted into a depression in the wall part of the cooking chamber muffle or a depression formed in the wall part of the cooking chamber muffle.
  • the depression is designed at least in sections in such a way that the wall part of the water container is flush with the surface.
  • a shoulder/step can be provided in a peripheral area of the recess, which in particular has a height that corresponds to the wall thickness of the wall part of the water tank.
  • the wall part of the water container could thus be fully integrated into the wall part of the cooking chamber muffle.
  • the depression can be produced, for example, by deep-drawing/embossing.
  • the water container can be removed in the direction of a cooking space essentially delimited by the cooking space muffle, preferably without tools.
  • the water tank can be easily cleaned, for example.
  • the filling of the Water tank facilitated.
  • the depression for receiving or integrating the water container has a removal area in order to remove the water container inserted therein.
  • the removal area can be arranged, for example, below the wall part of the water container.
  • the removal area can be formed by a slope running from bottom to top in such a way that an area for a user to grip the water container is formed for removing the same.
  • the heating element for evaporating the water stored in the water tank is arranged inside the water tank, preferably in a lower area near the bottom of the water tank. It will be understood by those skilled in the art that, for example, in the case of an electric heater, electrical connections/lines are provided. Furthermore, it goes without saying that the heating element is arranged at least in sections within the water tank in such a way that the water stored in the water tank can be evaporated. With this arrangement, for example, almost complete evaporation of the water can be realized.
  • the heating element is preferably designed as a tubular heating element.
  • the principle of the heating element arranged in the water tank essentially corresponds to the classic functional principle of an immersion heater for heating water. Using a simple tubular heater is inexpensive. Furthermore, the tubular heating element is robust and durable, so that the durability of the steamer can also be improved.
  • the water container and/or the wall part of the water container can be fastened to the wall part of the cooking chamber muffle and/or the recess of the wall part of the cooking chamber muffle by fastening elements.
  • the fastening elements are formed, for example, by latching and/or coupling elements.
  • a stable and cost-effective attachment of the water tank can be realized in this way.
  • a first end section of a water supply unit fluidically connecting a water tank and the evaporator unit is arranged within the water tank.
  • a fluid connection should be understood to mean that a fluid, for example water stored in a water tank, can be supplied to/into the evaporator unit through the water supply unit.
  • the water supply unit provides the possibility of filling the evaporator unit or a container of the same with water. It is thus clearly recognizable for the person skilled in the art that there does not have to be direct contact between the water supply unit or the pipes of the same and the evaporator unit in order to fill it or a water tank of the same with water.
  • the water can also drip from an outlet opening of a pipeline into a water container of the evaporator unit or an evaporator dish and fill it by gravity.
  • the water supply unit for the fluidic connection of the water tank to the evaporator unit has a first pipeline and a second pipeline formed separately therefrom.
  • Each of the two pipelines is designed individually for fluidic connection/coupling.
  • both the first pipeline and the second pipeline each represent a connection or connecting line between the water tank and the evaporator unit.
  • the first pipeline and/or the second pipeline can be made of a flexible material, at least in sections, e.g. rubber, soft plastic, etc., as well as made of a rigid material, e.g. metal, rigid plastic, etc.
  • a single piece of pipeline can be provided with pipeline regions formed individually therein.
  • the water supply unit has a first pipeline and a second pipeline formed separately therefrom for the fluid-technical connection
  • the following advantages can be achieved, for example.
  • the inner diameters of the two pipes can be reduced, which in turn can lead to improved heat decoupling between the water tank and the evaporator unit.
  • the use of two pipelines according to the invention enables a significantly calmer and more uniform flow of water into/to the evaporator unit.
  • the first pipe may be formed as an air pipe for returning air to the water tank and the second pipe may be formed as a water pipe for supplying water to the evaporator unit.
  • the pipes are preferably spaced apart from the evaporator unit or the water tank. This means that there are no points of contact between the pipes and the evaporator unit or the water tank, which in turn represents a simple decoupling between the aforementioned components.
  • a fill level of water in the water tank is regulated by an immersion depth of the first end section or the first pipeline of the water supply unit in the water tank.
  • the water tank ie the evaporator unit
  • the first end section of the first pipeline is preferably arranged above a first end section of the second pipeline when the water tank is in the installed position. Air can flow back into the water tank by means of the first pipeline until the water level reaches the opening of the first pipeline formed at the first end section and as a result no more air can penetrate into the first pipeline. If the water level sinks due to the heating and subsequent evaporation of the water, air can again flow back into the tank via the first pipe, so that water can flow from the water tank into the evaporator unit or the water tank in the same ratio via the second pipe.
  • water is supplied from the water tank into the water container by means of an unpressurized system, in particular by means of the bird bath principle.
  • the water level in the water tank of the evaporator unit is regulated in such a way that water continues to flow from the water tank to the evaporator unit or the water tank of the same via pressure equalization mechanisms, whereby in this context when the water level in the water tank of the evaporator unit drops and falls below a certain level Water levels air penetrates into the water supply unit and then allows the return movement of the air or air bubble in the direction of the water tank after-running of water in the direction of the evaporator unit.
  • Water supply systems known in the prior art and working according to the bird bath principle with a single pipe for fluidically connecting the water tank to the evaporator unit require a pipe internal diameter of at least 8 to 10 mm.
  • the water and the air flow against each other, which can lead to complications in particular if the individual pipeline does not have a continuous gradient or has narrow radii.
  • the water supply from a water tank into the water container of the evaporator unit can be time-controlled instead of using the bird bath principle.
  • additional components in the form of, for example, valves, pumps or the like are provided in order to implement the filling process.
  • the water tank can be removed from the steamer and closed, preferably so that it is airtight. Because it can be removed, the water tank can be easily filled with water and cleaned. For safe implementation of the bird bath principle, the water tank can be closed so that after coupling the water tank in its operating position, no air exchange can take place due to false air/secondary air via the water tank that is not completely closed.
  • the arrangement according to the invention of the wall part of the water container and the wall part of the cooking chamber muffle makes it possible, for example, to use conventional food supports, pull-out systems or the like in the steam cooking appliance.
  • a positioning aid or at least one guide means to be provided in a housing accommodating the water tank, as a result of which the water tank can be brought into the correct installation position for fluid-technical coupling to the valve unit.
  • the positioning aid and/or the guide means which has a groove and/or a projection and/or a bulge formed on an inner wall of the housing, for example, creates a contour within the housing, so that this way, regardless of the position when inserting the water tank into the housing, a proper installation position of the same can be guaranteed at any time.
  • the positioning aid or the guide means can be formed by at least one other element, which can also ensure a kind of "anti-rotation of the water tank" in the sense of the type described above.
