Mit dieser reduzierten Mangeltemperatur werden dann alle Wäschestücke, und zwar empfindliche, weniger empfindliche und unempfindliche Wäschestücke, gleichermaßen gemangelt. Bei einer Mangel mit zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Muldenmangeln 23 gemäß der Fig. 2 weisen dann die Plättflächen 27 der beiden Mangelmulden 24 gleichermaßen eine Temperatur zwischen 130°C und 170°C, insbesondere 140°C bis 160°C, auf. Damit bei gleichbleibender Mangelgeschwindigkeit, aber abgesenkter Mangeltemperatur, auch unempfindlichere, schwerere und auch mehr Feuchtigkeit enthaltende Wäschestücke ausreichend gemangelt werden können, insbesondere bis zum Erreichen oder vorzugsweise Unterschreiten der geforderten maximalen Endfeuchte, werden sie über einen längeren Plättweg 16 und/oder 33 gemangelt. Claims (9)

  1. Method for ironing laundry items, wherein at least one ironer smooths out the laundry items and, in the process, definitively dries them in that, as they pass through the at least one ironer, the laundry items are transported along a heatable ironing surface (14, 27) of the at least one ironer, characterized in that laundry items of different types are ironed in an unsorted state, in any desired order, by the ironers or the respective ironer being heated such that the ironing surface (14, 27) or ironing surfaces (14, 27) thereof are at any ironing temperature which corresponds to, or lies below, the ironing temperature of the most delicate laundry items to be ironed, by the ironing temperature being reduced at least to the maximum admissible temperature for the most delicate laundry items, wherein the ironer or the ironers together has or have an ironing path (16, 33) which the laundry items cover as they pass through the ironer or the ironers and which, with the ironing temperature adapted and/or reduced, is sufficient in order also for less delicate laundry items and laundry items which allow a relatively high ironing temperature to be satisfactorily smoothed out and dried and/or, for the purpose of compensating for the ironing temperature which is reduced for adaptation to delicate laundry items, the ironing speed is reduced such that the energy supply which is necessary for sufficiently smoothing out and drying non-delicate laundry items corresponds to the energy used for ironing non-delicate laundry items at maximum ironing temperature.

  5. Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the laundry items are ironed by two or more successive ironers, wherein the ironing path (16, 33) of the laundry items is the sum of the ironing paths (16, 33) along the ironing surfaces (14, 27) of all the successive ironers.
  6. Method according to Claim 5, characterized in that the ironing temperature of the successive ironers, in particular all the successive ironers, ranges from 130°C to 170°C, in particular 140°C to 160°C.
  7. Method according to Claim 5 or 6, characterized in that the ironing temperatures of the, in particular of all the, successive ironers are identical or at least approximately identical.
