Description

The present invention relates to an extractor device, a kitchen appliance with a hob and extractor device and a method for operating an extractor device.

To clean fumes and vapors that arise when cooking on a hob, it is known to use extractor hoods that are attached above the hob, for example on a room wall. These extractor hoods suck the vapors and vapors upwards. In addition, so-called trough ventilation or downdraft devices are known, in which vapors and vapors are sucked down. A downdraft ventilation is for example in the DE 10 2010 042 436 A1 described. This downdraft ventilation system uses an extractor hood that can be extended vertically from a hob.

In the DE 4 009 326 A1 discloses a motorized, retractable, downward-facing trigger system having a trigger inlet member slidably mounted for vertical movement between a lowered position and an elevated position. The distance between the rear wall bent forward and the front wall forms the inlet opening. The rear wall is firmly connected to the front wall. In particular, the front and rear walls are connected to one another via plastic end caps molded on the sides. In addition, the walls are attached to one another by means of brackets, in particular welded to one another.

In the U.S. 4,934,337 A describes an extractor hood. The extractor hood for cooktops is retractable. The extractor device moves vertically through an opening in the support surface in the vicinity of the heating elements between a lowered position below the support surface and an elevated position in which it protrudes above the surface. The exhaust inlet section consists of a front wall and a rear wall. The two walls are connected to one another on the sides with a plastic cap.

In the AU 2014 259 588 A1 a downdraft device is described which is suitable for sucking air from a hob. The device has a frame, a fluid box and a movement unit which comprises a belt lift. In some embodiments, the moving unit can comprise a vertically movable channel-shaped chimney. In some embodiments, an upper and a lower horizontal member and two fluid inlets are provided.

In the JP S62 204 223 U an extractor device is shown in which the suction opening is horizontal and a screen with a bevel at the upper end opposite the suction opening can be extended upwards.

In the US 2010/065038 A1 describes a range hood device. The extractor device can be brought into different positions in relation to the stove. A transparent splash guard can be provided on the rear of the extractor device, which allows the user to see behind the extractor device when the extractor device is extended.

A disadvantage of these devices is that the efficiency of the extractor device is low, since the suction opening is large and therefore, in addition to the vapor to be captured, pure air is also sucked in and the extractor hood is difficult to clean.

The object of the present invention is therefore to create a solution with which the efficiency of the vapor capture can be increased in a simple manner and which is also easy to clean.

According to a first aspect, the object is achieved by an extractor device with the features of claim 1.

A fume extractor device is a device by means of which vapors and vapors can be sucked off and preferably cleaned from a hob or work surface. The fume extractor device comprises a suction shaft and a vapor trap. In addition, the extractor device preferably comprises at least one fan or is connected to a fan, via which negative pressure is generated, by means of which the vapors and vapors can be sucked into the vapor trap and above it into the suction shaft. In addition, the extractor device preferably comprises at least one filter element, which can be arranged in the suction shaft, for example, and on which contaminants such as fat or liquid particles can be separated from the fumes and vapors.

According to the invention, the suction shaft has an air inlet opening. The air inlet opening is formed in the upper end of the suction shaft. In addition, the suction channel has at least one outlet opening, which is also formed in the upper end of the suction shaft. Via the at least one outlet opening, the vapor trap can be moved out of the suction shaft, that is to say let out, at least in regions. The movement of pulling out preferably represents a displacement of the vapor trap upwards with respect to the suction shaft. In this case, the vapor trap is moved upwards via the outlet openings. Since at least two screen elements are provided, at least two outlet openings are formed in the upper end of the suction shaft. If the suction shaft is open at the top, the outlet openings and the air inlet opening are both located in the opening formed by the upper edge of the suction shaft, that is to say together form this opening. The screen elements that make up the vapor trap are preferably each extended upwards at one edge of the opening which is formed by the upper edge of the suction shaft. The edge areas of this opening are therefore referred to as outlet openings. The air inlet opening is therefore formed by the distance between the extended screen elements in the opening which is formed by the upper edge of the suction shaft. In this embodiment, there is no frame or any other separation between the air inlet opening and the outlet openings. According to the invention, however, it is also possible that the upper end of the suction shaft is covered by a cover plate in which at least two slots, which represent the outlet openings, are made, through which at least one screen element can be extended upwards out of the suction shaft. In addition, in this embodiment, an opening is made in the cover plate, which represents the air inlet opening. This can be adjacent to the outlet openings and the air inlet opening lies between the outlet openings.

Directional information such as above and below relate - unless otherwise stated - to an extractor device in the assembled state. In particular, this information relates to an extractor hood device in which the upper end of the suction shaft and thus also the at least one outlet opening is horizontal.

The suction shaft preferably extends vertically downward from the outlet opening. The suction shaft can also be referred to as a suction channel and is connected at the end facing away from the upper end to the fan of the extractor device or to the fan connected to it. A vapor trap is slidably mounted in the suction shaft. The vapor trap has at least one suction gap, which can also be referred to as an intake gap. According to the invention, the part of the fume extractor device through which air is guided from one or more suction gaps to the air inlet opening and thus into the suction shaft is referred to as vapor trap. The vapor trap is slidably mounted in the suction shaft. The vapor trap is preferably mounted in the suction shaft so as to be vertically displaceable.

The invention is characterized in that the vapor trap consists of at least two flat screen elements which can be displaced with respect to the suction shaft. The parts that together form the suction tract of the vapor trap are called screen elements. In particular, the parts that form the at least one suction gap and an air line to the suction shaft are referred to as shield elements. The screen elements preferably represent plates which can be flat or can be curved about a horizontal or a vertical axis. The screen elements are preferably arranged so that the distance between the screen elements is the same over their height. In the case of flat shield elements, these are therefore preferably aligned parallel to one another. The screen elements are preferably made of a transparent material. For example, the screen elements can consist of glass or plastic. The screen elements are also referred to below as panes.

In the extractor device according to the invention, the suction gap is formed between the screen elements. The suction gap can be formed here by the distance between the surfaces of the screen elements. The suction gap is preferably formed by the distance between the corresponding edges of two screen elements. According to the invention is a Part of the suction gap or the entire suction gap is formed by the distance between the top edges of two adjacent screen elements. The distance can be horizontal or inclined to this. Another part of the suction gap can be formed, for example, by the distance between the side edges of two screen elements. This part of the suction gap can be vertical or inclined to it.

According to the invention, at least one of the at least two screen elements protrudes partially beyond an outlet opening of the suction shaft in at least one position of the vapor trap. The at least one shield element protrudes upwards beyond the outlet opening. The position of the vapor trap is, on the one hand, its position in the state in which the extractor device is not being operated, that is to say the rest position. In addition, the position of the vapor trap is also referred to as its position in a state in which the extractor device is operated, that is to say an operating position. The vapor trap can have several different operating positions, that is to say orientations in which vapors and vapors are extracted from a work surface or a hob by means of a fan. The position of the screen element or elements in the different positions of the vapor trap is set, that is to say the screen elements can be moved into the respective position and held there.

In addition, according to the invention, the at least two screen elements are detachably mounted in the suction shaft. A fastening that can be released without tools is referred to as a detachable mounting. According to the invention, each screen element is stored separately in the suction shaft. The fastening can be, for example, pushing in, clamping or locking of the shield element with a fastening element.

By using at least two flat screen elements according to the invention, the suction gap is formed between the screen elements, the screen elements protrude at least partially over the outlet openings of the suction shaft in at least one position of the vapor trap and the at least two screen elements are detachably mounted in the suction shaft, a number of advantages can be achieved be achieved. The surfaces of the screen elements which protrude beyond the outlet opening of the suction duct, in particular, guide the air from the suction gap to the suction duct to the air inlet opening. Since the vapor trap is displaceably mounted in the suction shaft, the suction gap can also be at least partially brought to different heights and brought into a position that corresponds to the height of the place where the vapors and vapors are generated. In particular, at least the upper part of the suction gap can be brought to a height that corresponds to the height of a cooking vessel, in particular a pot or pan. This increases the efficiency of the extraction of fumes and vapors. Since the screen elements are also detachably mounted in the suction shaft, they can be easily removed from the extractor device. In the removed state, the screen elements can be cleaned, for example in a dishwasher. When extracting vapors and vapors, impurities will be deposited on the screen elements. Since the screen elements can be removed from the extractor device without tools and cleaned, they can function as filters, that is, they can be used to separate the impurities. The shield elements are particularly preferably held at least partially by their own weight in the suction shaft and in particular on the fastening element. Particularly in the case of screen elements that are made of glass, the high weight ensures that they are securely held, for example in a rail.

Each screen element is preferably releasably fastened to a fastening element, in particular a rail, which is mounted displaceably in the suction shaft. Since the screen element is releasably fastened to a fastening element which is mounted displaceably, only the screen element itself is separated from the extractor device when the screen element is removed. The fastening element, on the other hand, can remain in the extractor device.
If the fastening element represents a rail, the flat screen element, which preferably represents a disk, can be pushed into the rail from above in a simple manner and pulled out of the rail for removal. If the rail is a horizontally running rail, the screen element can be held by the rail at least along the entire lower edge and preferably the lower region of the side surfaces. If the rail is a vertical rail, it is preferably closed at its lower end. The lateral area of the lower edge of the screen element and the lower area of the side edge of the screen element are therefore held on this rail.

The fastening element is preferably connected to a movement device for vertically displacing the at least one screen element. The fastening elements can be fastened to the movement device in such a way that they can be moved separately from one another. Alternatively, the fastening elements can also be moved together. The movement device can for example be a spindle or a toothed drive, for example with a toothed belt or rack.

The at least two screen elements can be mounted separately from one another so as to be displaceable with respect to the suction shaft or jointly mounted so as to be displaceable with respect to the suction shaft. In particular, the screen elements are vertically displaceable.

Umbrella elements in which one umbrella element can be moved without the at least one other umbrella element also being moved or the umbrella elements are each moved by a different amount are referred to as being separately displaceable relative to one another. At least in one position of the extractor device, the screen elements are at least partially in the suction shaft. The shifting of the screen elements can take place via a movement device, which for example can represent a lifting mechanism by means of spindles. However, other movement devices, which can also include motors, can also be used.

Since the screen elements can be moved separately from one another, the size and position of the suction gap can be flexibly adjusted. In this way, the conditions on the hob or on a worktop in the vicinity of the extractor device can be taken into account even better, and thus the vapor capture rate and the efficiency of the extractor device can be further increased.

Umbrella elements that are moved simultaneously and by the same amount are referred to as jointly displaceable. At least in one position of the extractor device, the screen elements are at least partially in the suction shaft. The shifting of the screen elements can take place via a movement device, which for example can represent a lifting mechanism by means of spindles. It can, however other movement devices, which can also include motors, can also be used. The screen elements can be attached to a common fastening element. For example, the fastening element can be a rail construction with two rails firmly connected to one another, into each of which one of the screen elements can be inserted. In this embodiment too, the screen elements can be detached separately from one another from the fastening element and thus from the extractor device.

In the embodiment with screen elements that can be moved together, the size of the suction gap is fixed. Only the height to which this suction gap is brought is changed by moving the screen elements. The embodiment in which the screen elements are jointly displaceably mounted has the advantage that the structure of the extractor device is further simplified and the screen elements can nevertheless be easily removed from the extractor device and cleaned.

The extractor hood device can have two screen elements that form the vapor trap. The invention is therefore described in the following mainly with reference to an extractor hood device with two screen elements.

According to one embodiment, however, the extractor device has three screen elements. In this embodiment, the screen elements are arranged in such a way that two are laterally adjacent to one another and offset horizontally from the third screen element. If a cover plate is provided at the upper end of the suction shaft, an outlet opening for a rear umbrella element and a separate outlet opening or a common outlet opening are preferably provided in this for each front umbrella element.

Directional information such as the front or rear refer - unless otherwise stated - to an extractor device that is mounted in or on a hob. The front is the direction facing the hob or a cooking zone and the rear is the direction facing away from the hob or a cooking zone.

In the embodiment of the extractor device with three screen elements, the two laterally adjacent screen elements are preferably the front screen elements and the third screen element represents the rear screen element. In particular, the two laterally adjacent screen elements are in front of the air inlet opening of the extractor device and the rear screen element behind the air inlet opening. Laterally adjacent shield elements are referred to in which one side edge of a shield element faces a side edge of a further shield element and the two shield elements lie in a common plane. In this embodiment, the third screen element is preferably located in a plane which is offset to the rear relative to the plane of the first two screen elements. Particularly preferably, there is a spacing between the screen elements that are laterally adjacent to one another. A further part of the suction gap is formed by this distance. In particular, over this part of the suction gap, air that flows onto the extractor device from the front can be sucked in horizontally and thus the flow directed towards the suction gap can be increased. In this embodiment, the suction gap is thus formed at least by the distance between the upper edges of the front screen elements and the upper edge of the rear screen element and by the distance between the front screen elements. In addition, a further part of the suction gap can also be formed between the side edges of the front screen elements, which face away from the respective other front screen element, and the side edges of the rear screen element.

According to a further embodiment, one of the at least two screen elements has a larger area than the at least one further screen element. In particular, the rear screen element, that is to say the screen element facing away from a hob, is larger than the front screen element (s). In particular, the larger screen element has a greater width and greater height than the at least one further screen element. In a state in which the lower edges of the at least two screen elements are at the same height, the upper edge of the front screen element (s) is lower than the upper edge of the rear screen element. If only two screen elements are provided, the screen elements are arranged in relation to one another in such a way that their width centers lie on one line. If two front screen elements are provided, their width is preferably chosen so that the sum of the Widths and the distance between the front screen elements is less than the width of the rear screen element.

Since a screen element, preferably the rear screen element, has a larger area, the suction gap is enlarged in its height direction. In particular, the suction gap in this embodiment is inclined from the horizontal and extends from the edges of the smaller screen element or elements to the edges of the larger screen element. In addition, this embodiment also enables air to be drawn in from the side, that is to say via the distances between the outer side edges of the front screen element or elements and the side edges of the rear screen element.

According to one embodiment, in an operating position of the vapor trap, the upper edges of the at least two screen elements are at different heights above the outlet opening of the suction shaft. The screen element, the upper edge of which is at a lower height, is preferably facing the hob and the screen element, the upper edge of which is at a greater height, lies behind this screen element. This ensures that vapors are reliably sucked in. On the one hand, the size of the suction gap that is formed between the upper edges of the screen elements is larger than that of screen elements whose upper edges are at the same height. The suction gap here is namely inclined from the horizontal and has a larger size with the same distance between the screen elements. In addition, suction is also supported in this embodiment by the fact that vapors can be prevented from streaking past the rear screen element due to its greater height above the air inlet opening. In addition, the front screen element facing the hob can be brought into such a position in the extractor device according to the invention that its upper edge is at a height that corresponds to the height of a cooking vessel located on the hob. Thus, the suction gap of the extractor device is brought into the vicinity of the upper edge of the cooking vessel, thus ensuring reliable suction. The different positions of the upper edges of the screen elements can be set in a targeted manner in the extractor device according to the invention by moving the screen elements separately from one another. In an embodiment in which the screen elements together are movably mounted, the different positions of the upper edges can be adjusted by corresponding sizes of the screen elements.

According to one embodiment, in the rest position or in an operating position of the vapor trap, a screen element can be completely accommodated in the suction shaft and at least one further screen element can partially protrude upwards beyond the outlet openings of the suction shaft. If the position of the extractor device is a rest position, the screen element facing the hob, which is also referred to below as the front screen element, is preferably in a position in which it partially protrudes upwards over the outlet opening. The rear screen element can be in a position in which it is completely received in the suction shaft. The upright front shield element can prevent contaminants from entering the outlet opening, for example spilled liquids.

According to a further embodiment, in which the position of the vapor trap is a rest position, the screen element facing away from the hob, that is, the rear screen element, can be in the position in which it partially protrudes upwards over the outlet opening. The front screen element can be in a position in which it is completely accommodated in the suction shaft. In this case, the upright rear screen element can be used, for example, to create a splash guard for a room wall that is located behind the extractor device. In order to be able to prevent impurities from entering the air inlet opening in this embodiment as well, the air inlet opening of the suction shaft can be covered, for example, by a cover, for example a flap.

If the position of the vapor trap is an operating position, the screen element facing away from the hob, that is to say the rear screen element, is preferably in the position in which it partially protrudes upwards over the outlet opening. The front screen element can be in a position in which it is completely accommodated in the suction shaft. In this case, the upstanding rear screen element can also be used to create a splash guard for a room wall that is located behind the extractor device. In this operating position, the suction gap is taken up by the rear screen element and the one in the suction shaft front screen element formed. The suction gap is therefore relatively close to the air inlet opening. This operating position is therefore suitable for cooking processes in which flat cooking vessels such as pans are used.

However, it is also within the scope of the invention that the upper edges of the at least two screen elements are at the same height in an operating position and / or the rest position. In this embodiment, the at least two screen elements can be completely accommodated in the suction shaft, particularly in the rest position. The air inlet opening and the outlet openings can be covered by a cover in this position. This can for example be designed as a flap. If the position is an operating position, the at least two screen elements can also be completely accommodated in the suction shaft. This operating position is suitable for cooking processes in which flat cooking vessels such as pans are used. If, on the other hand, taller cooking vessels, such as pots, are used, the upper edge of the at least two screen elements can be at the same height above the outlet openings. This embodiment is particularly preferred when the extractor device is arranged between adjacent hobs, since both hobs can reliably suck in vapors and vapors.

The suction gap preferably runs at least along the upper edge of at least one of the screen elements. In addition, the suction gap can preferably also extend along the side edges of the screen elements. In the embodiment in which two front screen elements are provided, the suction gap also extends along the distance between the two front screen elements.

According to a preferred embodiment, the extractor device has at least one sensor for detecting the height of objects in the vicinity of the extractor device. In particular, the height of objects on a hob adjacent to the extractor device can be detected. In this way, the position at which the suction gap must preferably lie, in particular between the upper edges of the screen elements, in order to ensure reliable suction can be determined. Alternatively or additionally, the extractor device can have at least one sensor for detecting the amount of vapor in the vicinity of the extractor device exhibit. This also makes it possible to determine the position at which the suction gap, in particular between the upper edges of the screen elements, must preferably be located in order to ensure reliable suction. In addition, by providing a sensor, for example the sensor for detecting the amount of vapor, the fan of the extractor device can also be activated. Since a sensor system is provided on the extractor device, the extractor hood can be operated in a fully automatic mode. Here, the height of the cooking vessels can be detected via the sensor system and the vapor trap, in particular the screen elements, can be moved in such a way that optimal vapor capture is guaranteed.

According to one embodiment, the extractor device has a control unit which changes the alignment of the at least two screen elements on the basis of the detected sensor data. In particular, the position of the individual screen elements relative to the outlet openings and the position of the screen elements relative to one another can be adjusted.

According to a preferred embodiment, the control unit is therefore designed such that the amount by which at least one screen element protrudes upwards over the outlet opening is changed and / or the difference in height of the upper edges of the at least two screen elements is changed on the basis of the detected sensor data. The control of the movement device via which the screen elements are moved can take place in such a way that the at least two screen elements are moved at the same time. However, the movement of one of the screen elements can, for example, be ended while the at least one further screen element is still being moved.

According to one embodiment, the extractor device comprises at least one lighting device. The lighting device can, for example, be provided on the upper edge or lower edge of at least one of the screen elements and can consist of light-emitting diodes, for example. In the case of a transparent material of the screen elements, the light can be coupled into the screen element by a lighting device arranged on the lower edge and the entire screen element emits the light and thus forms a planar illumination. This embodiment can be used particularly advantageously in the extractor device according to the invention, since, for example, when the extractor device is in a rest position, the front or the rear screen element can be extended upwards via the outlet opening and can thus function as a lighting or design element.

With suitable processing of the edges and in particular the upper edge of one or more of the screen elements, which are made of transparent material, the light can also be emitted only via the edges and thus serve as functional light. The screen element or elements also serve as a light guide.

According to a further embodiment, the extractor device comprises a light sensor, which is also referred to as a photo sensor and is arranged at a distance from the screen elements and the outlet openings. For example, the light sensor can be arranged on the front of a hob. In this way, the light sensor can detect whether the light emitted by the lighting device of the extractor device and in particular from the upper edge of the screen element is received and thereby the presence of an object on the hob can be detected. In addition, if the upper edge of the screen element, the upper edge of which is at the greatest height, is used to emit light, the height of the object, in particular a cooking vessel, can also be determined and the screen elements moved accordingly.

According to a further aspect, the invention relates to a kitchen appliance with at least one hob and an extractor device according to the invention. The extractor device can be connected to the hob. In particular, the control of the extractor device can be connected to the control of the hob. The extractor device is preferably arranged behind the back of the hob and extends in the width direction of the hob. The extractor device preferably extends over the entire width of the hob. The back of the hob is the side that faces away from the side of the hob that faces the user and on which control elements of the hob are preferably provided. The extractor hood device can be located at a short distance from the rear of the hob or can be adjacent to the rear. The hob is preferably inserted into a worktop of a kitchen cabinet, in particular a kitchen cabinet. A recess behind the hob is made in the worktop for the extractor device. The opening of the suction shaft is preferably located in the recess the extractor hood in which the outlet opening (s) are provided.

According to a further embodiment, the extractor device is integrated into the hob. In this embodiment, the upper end of the suction shaft lies in the surface of the hob. In particular, the at least one outlet opening and the air inlet opening of the suction shaft are preferably in the middle of the width of the surface of the hob and extend in the depth direction of the hob. For this purpose, a corresponding recess can be made in the hob. The upper end of the suction shaft, in which the at least one outlet opening is formed, through which the at least two screen elements can be extended upwards, lies in this recess. In this embodiment, the screen elements are preferably extended in an operating position of the extractor device in such a way that the upper edges of the at least two screen elements are at the same height. However, it is also within the scope of the invention that the screen elements are extended to different heights in an operating position. Since the extractor device is integrated in the hob and is provided in particular in the middle of the width of the hob, the extractor device can reliably suck out vapors from cooking vessels from all cooking zones of the hob. The extractor device and in particular the screen elements in this embodiment are in the immediate vicinity of, for example, four cooking zones. If the screen elements are provided separately movable in the extractor device, in the case where, for example, cooking vessels are only provided on one side of the extractor device, the screen element facing this side can be extended to a lower height than the at least one additional screen element.

According to a further aspect, the invention relates to a method for operating an extractor device according to the invention. The method is characterized in that the relative position of at least one screen element to the outlet opening and the relative position of the upper edges of the screen elements to one another are set. In this way, the use of cooking vessels of different heights can be taken into account and vapors and vapors can be reliably extracted.

According to a preferred embodiment, at least the relative position of at least one screen element to the outlet opening is changed during the transition from one operating position to a further operating position of the extractor device. In particular, when using higher cooking vessels, the at least two screen elements can be moved upwards from a first operating position for flat cooking vessels until the upper edge of the front screen element is level with the upper edge of the cooking vessel. In addition, the distance between the upper edges of the screen elements can also be increased here.

According to one embodiment, the setting of the positions of the at least two screen elements takes place fully automatically, semi-automatically or manually.

According to one embodiment, the setting of the positions of the at least two screen elements takes place fully automatically on the basis of sensor data. For the fully automatic mode, the height of the pots used is detected by sensors. The extractor device moves the screen elements so that optimal vapor capture is guaranteed. Height specifications for the screen elements can be generated via the moving lighting and a photo sensor placed opposite the hob. Alternatively or additionally, the extractor device can have at least one sensor for detecting the amount of vapor in the vicinity of the extractor device.

For a semi-automatic mode, for example, three ideal positions of the screen elements could be stored. Each position covers a certain spectrum of cooking behavior. The umbrella elements are then moved up or down to one of these three positions, depending on the situation.

For the manual solution, which can also be referred to as a simple solution, no sensors are used, for example, but rather explains and leaves to the user when he or she can operate the extractor device, for example using touch elements, button elements, and / or via gesture / voice Control what height wants to bring. The explanation is based on the height of the pots and the circumference of the vapor. For example, the user can be given three setting options. These can be: completely retracted, a lower vapor intake and a higher vapor intake.

In Figure 1 a schematic perspective view of an embodiment of the kitchen appliance 1 according to the invention is shown. The kitchen appliance 1 consists of a hob 3 and an extractor device 2. The hob 3 is installed in a worktop 40 of a kitchen cabinet 4. In addition, a recess 41 is provided in the worktop 40. The recess 41 is located on the rear side of the hob 3 between the hob 3 and a room wall. The extractor device 2 is introduced into the recess 41. In the view in Figure 1 only the cover 23 of the extractor device 2 can be seen. The extractor device 2 is located in the Figure 1 in a rest position. In the embodiment shown, a sensor 28 is integrated in the hob 3 in the front area of the hob 3. The sensor 28 can, however, also be present separately from the hob 3 and, for example, be arranged in front of the front edge of the hob 3. The function of the sensor 28 will be explained in more detail later.

In Figure 2 FIG. 11 is a schematic sectional view of the embodiment of the kitchen appliance 1 according to FIG Figure 1 shown with the extractor device 2 in the rest position. As can be seen from the view of the Figure 2 results, the extractor device 2 has a suction duct 24. The upper end of the suction shaft 24 lies in the recess 41 which is made in the worktop 40. The outlet openings 29 of the suction shaft 24 of the extractor device 2 are formed in this upper end. The air inlet opening 290 is formed between the outlet openings 29, that is to say the parts of the opening at the upper end of the suction duct 24. The outlet openings 29 and the air inlet opening 290 are closed by the cover 23. Two screen elements 21, 22 are arranged in the interior of the suction shaft 24. The screen element 22 rests on the front wall and the screen element 21 on the rear wall of the suction duct 24. The screen element 21 is therefore referred to below as the rear screen element and the screen element 22 as the front screen element. The screen elements 21, 22 are vertical. The height dimension of the screen element 22 in the embodiment shown is smaller than the height dimension of the screen element 21. In the rest position shown, the upper edges of the screen elements 21, 22 are at a common height and below the outlet openings 29. The screen elements 21, 22 are thus in the Suction shaft 24 retracted. The shield elements 21, 22 can be displaced separately from one another with respect to the suction shaft 24 or displaceable together be stored. The screen elements 21, 22 form the vapor trap of the extractor device, which is slidably mounted in the suction shaft 24.

If the extractor device 2 is activated, that is to say switched on, the cover 23 is folded down. The cover 23 is folded down until it rests on the front wall of the suction shaft 24. This movement is in Figure 3 shown schematically. How out Figure 3 results, vapors that arise when cooking with a pot T are sucked into the suction shaft 24 by a fan (not shown). The sucked in vapor is guided down between the screen elements 21, 22. The suction gap 20 is thus formed between the upper edges of the screen elements 21, 22. In Figure 3 a filter 26 is shown schematically in the suction duct 24, via which the vapor is cleaned.

If there is a higher amount of vapor, the extractor device 2 can be moved into a second operating position. This operating position is in Figure 4 shown schematically. In this operating position, the rear screen element 21 is displaced upwards with respect to the suction duct 24. The movement takes place by means of a movement device 25, of which in Figure 4 only a guide rail for the rear screen element 21 can be seen. A guide rail is also preferably provided for the front screen element 22, which is in the Figure 4 is not shown. In addition, the movement device 25 preferably has a drive, for example spindles (not shown). The guide rails can be moved individually via this drive, in particular shifted upwards. Alternatively, however, it is also possible for the movement device and in particular the drive not to engage one of the guide rails but rather the respective umbrella element itself and move it upwards. A downward movement takes place with the movement device 25 either also via the drive or at least partially by the weight of the respective screen element 21, 22. The screen elements 21, 22 can be detached from the movement device 25. In particular, the screen elements 21, 22 can be individually pulled out of the respective guide rail upwards without the need for tools. In the embodiment shown, the rear screen element 21 is thus at a greater height than the outlet opening 29 than the front screen element 22.

If a higher cooking vessel, for example a higher pot T, is used for cooking, the extractor device 2 can be moved into a further operating position. This operating position is in Figure 5 shown schematically. In this operating position, in addition to the rear screen element 21, the front screen element 22 is also displaced upwards. The upper edge of the rear screen element 21 is higher than the upper edge of the front screen element 22. The suction gap 20 is formed between the two upper edges of the screen elements 21, 22. This lies behind in the operating position Figure 5 not in the horizontal, but inclined to this. The front screen element 22 is shifted upward beyond the outlet opening 29 so that the upper edge of the front screen element 22 is level with the upper end of the cooking vessel, in particular the pot T. In this way, the vapor produced can be reliably sucked in via the suction gap 20 and guided into the suction shaft 24. Since the screen elements 21, 22 can be displaced separately from one another with respect to the suction duct 24, the different conditions described in FIG Figure 4 and Figure 5 shown are taken into account.

In Figure 6 a schematic sectional view of a further embodiment of the kitchen appliance 1 according to the invention with the extractor device 2 is shown in a rest position. In this rest position, the rear screen element 21 is displaced upward relative to the suction duct 24 and in particular the outlet opening 29. The front screen element 22, on the other hand, is received in the suction duct 24. In this rest position, the rear screen element 21 can serve as a splash guard for the wall of the room.

In Figure 7 a schematic sectional view of a further embodiment of the kitchen appliance 1 according to the invention with the extractor device 2 is shown in a rest position. In this rest position, the front screen element 22 is moved upwards with respect to the suction duct 24 and thus the outlet opening 29. The rear screen element 21, on the other hand, is received in the suction duct 24.

In the rest positions after Figure 6 and Figure 7 For example, a cover (not shown) can be provided which covers the air inlet opening 290 in the area in which none of the screen elements 21, 22 protrudes upward through these outlet openings 29. In the In the embodiment shown, a filter element 26 is indicated for air inlet opening 290.

In Figure 8 a schematic sectional view of a further embodiment of the kitchen appliance 1 according to the invention with the extractor device 2 is shown in an operating position. In this embodiment, in contrast to the embodiment according to FIGS Figures 1-7 the extractor device 2 is integrated in the hob 3. This embodiment is in Figure 10 shown in perspective view. In this embodiment, the upper end of the suction shaft 24 is located in the hob 3. The upper end of the suction shaft 24 and thus the outlet openings 29 thus extend over the entire depth of the hob 3 and are arranged centrally in the width direction. In the embodiment shown, both screen elements 21, 22 have the same height dimensions. In addition, in the operating position of the extractor device 2 shown, the two screen elements 21, 22 are displaced at the top by the same height with respect to the respective outlet opening 29. With this extractor device 2, vapors from cooking vessels, in particular pots T, can thus be sucked off from both sides of the extractor device 2. However, if a cooking vessel, in particular a pot T, is used on one side of the extractor device 2, which has a lower height than the height by which the screen elements 21, 22 protrude from the outlet openings 29, the respective screen element 21, 22, the is adjacent to this cooking vessel to be moved down by a certain amount. In this position, the screen element 21, 22, which has moved downwards, continues to protrude upwards over the outlet openings 29 of the extractor device 2, which are located in the hob 3.

In Figure 9 Another embodiment of the kitchen appliance 1 is shown in a perspective view. The extractor device 2 of the kitchen appliance 1 is in an operating position. In particular, the screen elements 21, 22 are extended upwards. The embodiment according to Figure 9 differs from the embodiment according to Figures 8 and 10 in that the extractor device 2 is spaced from the hob 3. In particular, in the Figure 9 the hob 3 is constructed in two parts and the extractor device 2 lies between these two parts of the hob 3. A recess 41 is therefore made in the worktop 40 of the kitchen cabinet 4 for the extractor device 2. Also in the embodiment according to Figure 9 the two screen elements 21, 22 are preferably at the same height with respect to the suction shaft Move 24 upwards. In this position, the screen element 21, 22, which has been moved down, continues to protrude upwards over the outlet openings 29 of the extractor device 2, which are located in the recess 41.

In Figure 11 a further embodiment of the kitchen appliance 1 according to the invention with the extractor device 2 is shown in an operating position. In this embodiment, the screen elements 21, 22 have different sizes. In particular, in the embodiment shown, the front screen element 22 is smaller than the rear screen element 21. In particular, the front screen element 22 has a smaller width than the rear screen element 21. In addition, the front screen element 22 is in the operating position shown by a smaller amount over the Outlet opening 29 shifted upwards than the rear screen element 21. The height dimension of the screen elements 21, 22 can be the same in this embodiment. In this case, the front screen element 22 is only shifted upwards by a smaller amount than the rear screen element 21. In addition, in the embodiment according to FIG Figure 11 a lighting device (not visible) is provided. Via the lighting device 27, light is introduced into the screen elements 21, 22 from below. By appropriate surface treatment of the screen elements 21, 22 or due to the material properties of the screen elements 21, 22, the introduced light is emitted over the surface of the screen elements 21, 22. The screen elements 21, 22 can for example consist of glass.

In Figure 12 is a perspective view of a further embodiment of the kitchen appliance 1 with the extractor device 2 in the operating position. This embodiment differs from that in Figure 11 The embodiment shown in that a lighting device 27 is provided on the upper edge of the rear screen element 21. This can be an LED strip, for example. Alternatively, however, it is also possible that the lighting device 27 is attached to the rear screen element 21 from below and the upper edge of the rear screen element 22 is treated in such a way that the introduced light is emitted via this upper edge. In Figure 13 is a schematic sectional view of this embodiment of the kitchen appliance 1 is shown. As can be seen from this view, the light is emitted inclined downwards from the upper edge of the rear screen element 21. A sensor 28 is provided in the front area of the kitchen appliance 1, in particular in front of the hob 3. In the embodiment shown, this represents a photo sensor. The light emitted by the rear screen element 21 can be recognized by this photo sensor. If a pot T is placed on the hob 3, the height of the pot T can be determined by the photosensor 28. This height determination is possible in particular because the screen elements 21, 22 can be moved separately from one another.

In the Figure 14 Another embodiment of the extractor device 2 according to the invention is shown. In this embodiment, the upper end of the suction shaft 24 is covered by a cover plate 200. A recess, which forms the air inlet opening 290, and two recesses, which each form an outlet opening 29, are made in the cover plate 200. The outlet openings 29 are arranged adjacent to the air inlet opening 290 and the air inlet opening 290 lies between the outlet openings 29. The extractor device 2 has two screen elements 21, 22 which, in the state shown, extend through the outlet openings 29 and protrude upwards. The lower end of each of the screen elements 21, 22 is held in a fastening element 250. In the embodiment shown, the fastening element 250 represents an upwardly open rail into which the lower end of the respective screen element 21, 22 can be inserted. The fastening element 250 is connected to a movement device 25 shown in FIG Figure 14 is only indicated schematically. The movement device 25 can for example comprise a spindle and can for example be provided on a side wall of the suction duct 24. The fastening element 250 connected thereto can be displaced vertically via the movement device 25. In this way, the screen element 21 or 22 introduced into the fastening element 250 can be extended upwards or retracted downwards. The movement devices 25 can function separately from one another. In this way, the screen elements 21, 22 can be moved separately from one another. However, it is also within the scope of the invention that the movement devices 25 are connected or coupled to one another and the screen elements 21, 22 are thereby moved simultaneously. In this case, the two movement devices 25 shown can also can be replaced by a single movement device to which the fasteners 250 are connected.

The operation of an extractor device 2 with a common movement device 25 for the two screen elements 21, 22 is in the Figures 16 to 18 shown schematically. Here, the relative position of the screen elements 21, 22 to one another is the same in each of the positions shown. Figure 16 shows an operating position for sucking air from a pan or other flat cooking vessel. Figure 17 shows an operating position for sucking air from a small pot and Figure 18 shows an operating position for sucking air from a higher pot.

In Figure 15 a further embodiment of the kitchen appliance 1 according to the invention is shown. This embodiment differs from that in Figure 11 embodiment shown in that the extractor device 2 has three screen elements 21, 22, 22 '. In particular, the extractor device has a rear screen element 21 and two front screen elements 22, 22 '. The front screen elements 22, 22 'are arranged laterally adjacent to one another in one plane. There is a distance between the mutually facing side edges of the two screen elements 22, 22 '. The height of the front screen elements 22, 22 'is less than the height of the rear screen element 21. The width of the two front screen elements 22, 22' together with the distance between the screen elements 22, 22 'is less than the width of the rear screen element 21 In this embodiment, the suction gap 20, through which air is drawn in, extends both between the respective upper edge of each of the front screen elements 22, 22 'and the upper edge of the rear screen element 21 and along the side edges of the front screen elements 22, 22'. In particular, a further part of the suction gap 20 is formed between the outer side edge of the respective front screen element 22, 22 ′ and the respective outer side edge of the rear screen element 21. A further part of the suction gap 20 is also formed between the respective side edge of the front screen elements 22, 22 ′, which face one another, and the central region of the rear screen element 21. The flow of air is in the Figure 15 indicated schematically by block arrows. The front screen elements 22, 22 ′, like the rear screen element 21, are held detachably on the extractor device 2. The front screen elements 22, 22 'can be extended and retracted jointly or separately from one another. Preferably be the screen elements 22, 22 'in this embodiment, however, extend and retract together.

The invention is not restricted to the embodiments shown. For example, it is also within the scope of the invention that individual features of one embodiment are combined with those of another embodiment. For example, the in Figure 14 Fastening elements 250 shown can also be used in another embodiment.

With the present invention, an extractor device is created which, like known extractor devices that represent downdraft devices, can for example be arranged behind the hob and can move out there. In the case of the embodiment of the screen elements made of transparent material, in particular glass, however, there is no optical barrier in the extractor device according to the invention. The arrangement of the screen elements creates a height-adjustable vapor trap, which ensures optimum vapor capture. The suction flow of the extractor device is optimized as a result. In addition, a work light can be generated, especially in the case of screen elements made of glass, in that light is coupled into the screen elements. In addition, at least one of the shield elements can serve as a splash guard. It is also advantageous for this function if the screen elements are made of glass.

According to a preferred embodiment, two glass plates are used as screen elements in the extractor device according to the invention, which are arranged one behind the other and can each be flat or curved. However, it is also within the scope of the invention to manufacture the screen elements from a different material. The screen elements are preferably arranged behind the hob and are extended mechanically. The height by which the screen element (s) are extended and the number of screen elements that are extended adapt to the current cooking situation. The adjustment is made in such a way that the suction gap that arises between the screen elements is guided as close as possible to the top edge of the pot. The height of the pots used can be detected using a sensor system. According to the detected height, the screen elements move in such a way that optimal vapor capture is guaranteed. Specifications for the respective height to which the individual Screen elements are to be moved, can be generated via the moving lighting that occurs through the screen elements, and a photo sensor placed opposite the hob.

The arrangement of the glass panes creates a suction tract that can be moved up and down in order to adjust the suction gap to the height of the given vapor situation. Further vapors can also be sucked in via the sides of this suction tract and, if necessary, with a separate front pane also via the middle.

The additional suction on the side sucks the air from the area around the pot. This helps to develop a current at an early stage and thus deflect the vapor. Due to the size and arrangement of the discs, the suction area is directed towards the front. The wider and higher a rear pane, the more there is a possible impact / catching surface for the vapor. The size of the front pane (s) influences the vapor intake and the flow formation. The closer the side edges of the front disc (s) to the side edge of the pot, the better the indentation.

The glass material or the other plate material, for example plastic, of which the screen elements are made, can serve both as a splash guard and as an optical waveguide. The light can be coupled in from below via the lower edge of the screen elements. The output and direction of the light beam emitted by the screen elements can be adjusted by suitable edge processing of the upper edge. In the passive state of the extractor device, that is to say in the rest position of the extractor device, the extractor device is preferably not visible, but is located, for example, under a worktop behind the hob. With low pots and normal steam, it may be sufficient if only the rear umbrella element is raised. In the case of taller pots, the front screen element is raised in order to bring the suction gap, which can also be called vapor intake, to the optimum height. The height of the screen elements by which they stand up over a suction shaft varies and adapts to the situation.

The present invention has a number of advantages. In particular, the screen elements, which can also be referred to as plates or panes, can be raised less than conventional downdraft devices, and a sufficient vapor capture rate can nevertheless be achieved with the extractor device. Since the screen elements are completely separated from one another and, for example, are not connected to one another in the middle, the screen elements can also be brought into the desired position separately. In addition, the separate screen elements, especially if they are made of glass, give the extractor device a lightness in terms of appearance. This is supported by the fact that, depending on the current conditions, only one shield element may have to be raised. In particular in the case of screen elements made of glass or plastic, a work light can be integrated into the screen elements, for example by coupling light. In addition, light for ambience and mood can be generated by the shade elements. The light is preferably coupled into the respective screen element from below. In addition, with the invention, not only vapor can be sucked in via an upper horizontal gap but also laterally and optionally additionally in the middle, that is to say from the front between two front panes. This achieves better suction performance than conventional downdrafts, which only draw in vapors from above. In addition, since the screen elements are detachably attached and can therefore be removed without tools, the fat label can be improved since the impurities deposited on the screen elements are calculated together with the impurities on filters.
