Abstract

The invention relates to a device for steaming a textile.

In the US2017 / 0081798A1 describes a device for steaming a textile that has an adjustable ironing board. Sufficient counter pressure can be exerted here for areas of the textile that would otherwise not become smooth when streaming. However, the device requires space and is recognizable as a disruptive work device when not in use. In addition, functional parts dust quickly.

The invention therefore presents the problem of providing a device for steaming a textile which enables functional parts to be stored in a safe, simple and dust-free manner.

According to the invention, this problem is solved by a device with the features of claim 1. Advantageous refinements and developments of the invention result from the following subclaims.

The advantages that can be achieved with the invention, in addition to a safe and simple, yet dust-free storage of functional parts such as the water tank, are that working is always possible in an upright position and at an ideal height. The device particularly provides ergonomic advantages. The device can get stuck at the place of use when not in use or is simply hung in a wardrobe on a clothes rail. The device provides a fourfold use of steaming, ironing, refreshing and storing a textile. The body has the hanger section and the steam surface. It is preferably designed in such a way that it can be enveloped by an underwear part such as a blouse, jacket, coat, jacket or the like, so that the shape of the outerwear part is at least largely retained.

The body is preferably axially symmetrical. Due to the design of the body, the device can be used for a variety of clothing sizes and outer clothing shapes. The closed design of the body takes away the work character of the device and the device can remain open in a room without being distracting. When not in use, the device can be used like a normal clothes hanger with an integrated trouser hanger.

The steam surface preferably has at least one opening in one of its two sides connecting the front and back, in which the water tank is arranged such that it rests on a section of the frame, based on the operational hanging position of the device. The front and the back are larger compared to the sides connecting them. The water tank is preferably inserted laterally into the device, so that when viewed from above the front and back of the device, it is covered by the steam surface but can be filled or removed from the device for filling.

The hand-held steam device can be arranged inside the body or on an outside surface of the body. For example, just like the water tank, the hand-held steam device can be inserted into the body through a (further) opening when not in use.

In a preferred embodiment, the hand-held steam device is arranged on the front or the back of the steam surface, based on the operational hanging position of the device. It can be detachably attached to the steam surface when not in use. This eliminates the need to lie around and pull out accessories. Rather, the hand-held steam device is connected to the water tank via the steam hose and is immediately ready for use.

In a first variant, the steam hose that connects the water tank and the hand-held steam device is arranged outside the body. For example, the water hose leaves the body through the opening in which the water tank is arranged. This makes it easy to replace if necessary. In a second variant, the steam hose is arranged in such a way that it is partly arranged inside the body, where it is connected to the water tank, and is led out of the inside of the body into the surroundings of the body, where it is connected to the hand-held steam device is. The steam surface is preferably formed from a vapor-absorbing and vapor-permeable material. The steam surface is therefore able to absorb excess steam during operation.
