Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to a device for sliding door, in particular to a pulley device for sliding door, in the field of hardware accessories for architectural decoration.
- At present, sliding doors are widely used in the door industry for buildings which are attribute to their ease to install and convenience in use. In the normal case, the upper ends and lower ends of a sliding door are equipped with pulleys respectively to match the corresponding upper and lower rails, so that the user can push and pull the sliding doors conveniently.
- In the prior art,
discloses pulley devices placed at the top or bottom of sliding doors. As shown inCN201320016707.2 FIG. 1a and FIG. 1b , a slantedcircular hole 02 of downward is arranged on the front facade of a bottom plate, and across screw 03 is arranged in the slantedcircular hole 02. When themovable page door 04 is uneven, thecross screw 03 can be rotated by thescrewdriver 05, so that thepulley 01 is raised or lowered, the height of the sliding door is adjusted. As shown inFIG. 1b , when thepulleys 01 is installed on a slidingdoor 04, the assembly has several drawbacks stated below: (1) Since the slantedcircular hole 02 installed with thecross screw 03 is located on the front facade of the bottom plate, thepulley 01 can only be installed in embedded type, while cannot realize the paddlewheel type installation, and the paddlewheel type installation is required to be designed additionally; (2) In practical use, the side of themovable page door 04 mounted withpulleys 01 is often placed with a drawer and the like furniture, there is a small gap left between the two. Hence, when using thescrewdriver 05 to adjust the height of thecross screw 03, it is difficult for thescrewdriver 05 to protrude obliquely from the gap into the slantedcircular hole 02, so that the adjustment cannot be performed. - In the prior art, a pulley device capable of being installed in an upright manner and an inverted manner are disclosed in
. As shown inCN201710642591.6 FIG. 2 : the height adjustment mechanism includes anadjustment nut 2 and anadjustment screw 1 which can be raised or lowered when the adjustingnut 2 is rotated, and an adjusting hole 8 penetrate through both the box 3-2 and the bottom plate 3-1 is provided in thehousing 3. In the assembling state, the end of theadjustment screw 1 abuts against the sliding plate, and the adjustingnut 2 is at least partially received in the adjusting hole 8. The prior art mentioned above has the following drawbacks: (1) Since the adjustment hole 8 is exposed, and the application environment is mainly in home, it is easy to cause some hair or wool to be inserted into the adjustment hole 8 that wraps around the adjustingscrew 1, which affects its work and service life. (2) Theadjustment screw 1 serves as an internal adjustment, and the thread of the adjustingscrew 1 will suffer most of the force. Hence, the thread of the adjustingscrew 1 is easily damaged and the sliding filament is caused after several times of collision contact sliding plate. Therefore, it is desirable to obtain durable and stable pulleys, which can be installed at the upper or lower ends of sliding doors in paddlewheel type installation or embedded type installation. - The object of the present invention is to overcome the deficiency that one type pulley device only can realize either paddlewheel type installation or embedded type installation, the deficiency that pulley height is not convenient to adjust and the pulleys in prior art are easy to be damaged, low in reliability and short in service life.
- In order to achieve the aim, a pulley device is provided, comprising a pulley housing; a sliding plate which is vertically movable and mounted on the pulley housing; a pulley mounted on the sliding plate; a height adjusting mechanism for adjusting the height of the pulley; and a damper connecting the sliding plate and the pulley housing.
- The present invention provides a height adjusting mechanism which is capable adjust the height of the pulley device in both upright mounting and inverted mounting (paddlewheel type installation or embedded type installation), in which case the protrusion is reserved for a height adjusting mechanism and a damper (particularly, the overall thickness of the pulley device matches with the height adjusting mechanism and the damper, in particular, the pulley receives both height adjusting mechanism and the damper, so that the thickness of the pulley is consistent that there is no difference between upright mounting and inverted mounting). In the case of the installation position, the pulley device can be both protruded from the sliding door body and embedded into the sliding door body. What's more, it facilitates the engineer to choose the installation method of the upper and lower the pulley device for the sliding door. Paddlewheel type installation and embedded type installation have their own advantages and disadvantages , respectively. The paddlewheel type installation is more convenient, which can be installed without preset installation slots. The embedded installation embeds the pulley device in the groove preset on the door body. The space of the pulley device protruding from the door body is reduced, and the door body appearing as a whole is more attractive in aesthetic. In the technical solution of the present invention, the installer can purchase a single pulley and choose either way to install according to the user's preference.
- The height adjusting mechanism comprised a fixing block inlayed into the pulley housing, an adjusting assembly penetrating through the fixing block and a second projection nested on the adjusting assembly. The outer contour of the second projection has a gradually increasing radius, and the second projection stands against the first projection at one end of the sliding plate. The distance from the outer contour of the second projection to the adjusting assembly can be adjusted by rotating the adjusting assembly. The height adjusting mechanism is further provided with a cover plate for fixing the fixing block, and the cover plate is fixed on the upper surface of the pulley housing. The second projection is cam-shaped, and the outer contour of the second projection is provided with a gear. The second projection is provided with a position limiting protrusion at both ends of the outer contour on the second projection. The distance for adjustment is maintained so that the route of the position limiting protrusion will not circularly change and the adjustment distance can be stably controlled. The adjusting assembly comprises a front adjusting lever and a back adjusting lever mounted on the front adjustment lever, and adjusting holes which are generally selected as hexagon sockets, are provided on both the front adjusting lever and the back adjusting lever.
- The present invention has additional benefits. To rotate the second projection of cam-shaped, the installer can rotate the front adjusting lever or the back adjusting lever by inserting a hex wrench into the hexagon socket and rotating by hand. In this way, the height of the pulley device can be adjusted. In the present invention, the problem that the gap between a sliding door and furniture is too small to adjust the height of the pulley device by using a screwdriver that appears in the prior art will not occur. As a result, the height adjusting mechanism of the pulley device is not restricted by the narrow space, and it greatly facilitates the installer to adjust the height of the pulley device. Moreover, the problem will not occur that after the pulley device is adjusted by the cooperation of an adjusting nut and an adjusting screw, the pulley device is not available or damaged caused by some hair or wool inserted into the adjusting hole. So as that, the working reliability and the service life of the pulley device can be improved.
- Another better scheme is that the fixing block is provided with a rotating hole for rotating the front adjusting lever; the first projection is tilted, and the first projection is matched with the gear on the outer contour of the second projection. Since the first projection is matched with the gear on the outer contour of the second projection, the force will be suffered by the fixing block. The fixing block has enough surface area, thereby, it will not deform and be damaged. In this way, the problem that the damage to the thread of the adjusting nut can be avoided. Moreover, it's convenient and easy to adjust the distance of the second projection with a hex wrench to achieve ascending or descending the pulley device.
- Another better scheme is that the front adjusting lever comprises an anti-falling step and a connecting pin, the anti-falling step is fitted in the groove of the fixing block, and the connecting pin passes through a center hole of the second projection, and a coupling end of the back adjusting lever connects with the back adjusting lever. The front adjusting lever and the back adjusting lever are integrated to facilitate the installation and the reliability of the product is improved.
- Another better scheme is that the sliding plate is vertically movable, and the pulley mounted on the sliding plate is rotatable. Thereby, due to the match between the pulley and the rail, the pulley in the rail allows the sliding door to move smoothly on the rail.
- Another better scheme is that the damper is a spring with one end abutting the sliding plate and the other end abutting the pulley housing. The spring provides the pulley with a force forcing on the rail, making the pulley runs more smoothly on the rail.
- Another better scheme is that the pulley is connected to the sliding plate by a rivet which is rotatable, and the pulley partially protrudes from the sliding plate. It's convenient to open or close the door by sliding via the pulleys rolling on the rails at the upper and lower ends of the door. The sliding plate includes a plate and a bump protruding from the plate. The bump is provided with an abutting hole, and one end of the spring is embedded in the abutting hole. By such abutting manner, the spring can be effectively compressed between the pulley housing and the sliding plate, which highlights the cooperation of the spring with the sliding plate, and bring the benefit the spring force facilitates the rolling of the pulley mounted on the sliding plate.
- Another better scheme is that the sliding plate is provided with a position limiting groove which is engaged with a position limiting block on the pulley housing. The following examples are intended to illustrate the invention but are not intended to limit the scope of the invention.
- An embodiment of the pulley of the present invention is exemplified by a pulley device mounted on the lower end of the sliding door. As shown in
FIG. 3 to FIG. 8 , the pulley device comprises apulley housing 1, and a sliding plate 2-3 which is mounted on thepulley housing 1 and can be moved up and down, and aheight adjusting mechanism 3 for adjusting the height of the sliding plate 2-3, and adamper 4 that engages the sliding plate 2-3 and thepulley housing 1. Thepulley housing 1 includes a bottom plate 1-1 and a sliding plate mounting cavity 1-2 on the bottom plate 1-1. The mounting cavity 1-2 protrudes from thepulley housing 1 and capable to receive the sliding plate 2-3 so that both paddlewheel type installation or embedded type installation can be achieved. - Specifically, the installation mode is present as follows. In the paddlewheel type installation, the bottom plate 1-1 adjoins with the door body of the sliding door by being fixed via screws, and the mounting cavity 1-2 protrudes from the door body. Meanwhile, the height of the pulley device can be adjusted from one side of the bottom plate 1-1, which is away from the mounting cavity 1-2, via a
height adjusting mechanism 3. In the embedded type installation, the mounting cavity 1-2 is embedded in a groove preset on the door, and the door is attached to the bottom plate 1-1 with the side close to the mounting cavity 1-2. Meanwhile, the height of the pulley can be adjusted from the side of the bottom plate 1-1, which is not attached to the door, via theheight adjusting mechanism 3. The installer can purchase a pulley device and choose either way to install according to the user's preference. - In some embodiments, the
pulley housing 1 is a piece of a slab with a hollow cavity containing the sliding plate 2-3, theheight adjusting mechanism 3 and thedamper 4. However, thepulley housing 1 and theheight adjusting mechanism 3 work independently and have no interference with each other. Thepulley housing 1 is installed on the door body without the necessity of distinguishing upright mounting or inverted mounting. - The specific adjustment situation is present as follows. The
height adjusting mechanism 3 is provided with a fixing block 3-1 embedded in thepulley housing 1, and the adjustment assembly penetrating through the fixing block 3-1, and the second projection 3-2 nested on the adjustment assembly. The adjustment assembly includes a front adjusting lever 3-6 and a back adjusting lever 3-7 mounted on the front adjustming lever 3-6. The outer contour of the second projection 3-2 has a gradually increasing radius and stands against the first projection 2-1 at one end of the sliding plate 2-3. The distance from the outer contour of the second projection 3-2 to the adjustment assembly can be flexibly adjusted by rotating the adjustment assembly. Then the adjustment of the height of the sliding plate 2-3 can be realized. The height adjusting mechanism is provided with a cover plate 3-3 for fixing the fixing block 3-1 stuck inside the mounting cavity 1-2. The cover plate 3-3 is fixed on the upper surface of thepulley housing 1. And the cover plate 3-3 is locked with a nut in the groove of the outer surface of the mounting cavity 1-2 so that the cover plate 3-3 is horizontal identically to the outer surface of the mounting cavity 1-2. Theheight adjusting mechanism 3 becomes a hidden type structure, so as that the wool or hair will not enter the interior of theheight adjusting mechanism 3 and cause the hindering of adjustment. The second projection 3-2 is cam-shaped, and the outer contour of the second projection 3-2 is provided with a gear 3-4. The gear 3-4 cooperate with the first projection 2-1 during in working state, and theheight adjusting mechanism 3 does not shift even the sliding plate 2-3 bounces multiple times. Position limiting protrusions 3-5 are arranged at each knot curve of both wave-tooth-shaped ends of the outer contour on the second projection 3-2. The distance for adjustment is maintained so that the route of the position limiting protrusion 3-5 will not circularly change (turn smaller and larger back and forth) and the adjustment distance can be stably controlled. Hexagonal holes are provided on both the front adjusting lever 3-6 and the back adjusting lever 3-7 which belong to the adjusting assembly. - It should be noted that the second projection 3-2 of the pulley
height adjusting mechanism 3 of the present invention is not limited to the cam shape, and the shape with a gradually increasing radius (such as a crooked stick, an eccentric wheel, a torsion bar, etc.) is in the protection scope of present invention. To rotate the second projection 3-2 of cam-shape, the installer can rotate the front adjusting lever 3-6 or the back adjusting lever 3-7 by inserting a hex wrench into the hexagon socket by hand. In this way, the height of the pulley device can be adjusted. And the problem that the distance between a sliding door and furniture is too small to adjust the height of the pulley device by using a screwdriver will not occur. As a result, theheight adjusting mechanism 3 of the pulley device is not restricted by the narrow space, and it greatly facilitates the installer to adjust the height of the pulley device. - The fixing block 3-1 is provided with a rotating hole for the rotation of the front adjusting lever 3-6; the first projection 2-1 is tilted and the first projection 2-1 are matched with a gear 3-4 on the outer contour of the second projection 3-2, and the first projection 2-1 tilted disposed are opposite to the tooth direction of the gear 3-4, so that the second projection 3-2 will not rotate even meet multiple bounces. The first projection 2-1 is matched with gear on the outer contour of the second projection 3-2, the force will be suffered by the fixing block 3-1. The fixing block 3-1 has enough surface area, thereby, it will not deform and be damaged. In this way, the problem that the damage to the thread of the adjusting nut can be avoided. Moreover, it's convenient and easy to adjust the distance of the second projection with a hex wrench to achieve ascending or descending the pulley device. The front adjusting lever 3-6 comprises an anti-falling step 3-6-1, a connecting pin 3-6-2 and a coupling end of the back adjusting lever 3-7. It is worth noting that the coupling end and the back adjusting lever 3-7 are integrated. The anti-falling step 3-6-1 is fitted in the groove 3-8 of the fixing block 3-1. And the anti-falling step 3-6-1 is of a cylinder shape and rotated with the rotation of the front adjusting lever 3-6. The connecting pin 3-6-2 penetrates through a center hole of the second projection 3-2. The coupling end connects with the back adjusting lever 3-7. The front adjusting lever 3-6 and the back adjusting lever 3-7 are integrated to facilitate the installation and improve the reliability of the product.
- The sliding plate 2-3 is vertically movable, and the pulley 2-2 mounted on the sliding plate is rotatable. Thereby, by the cooperation of the pulley 2-2 with the rail, the pulley 2-2 in the rail allows the sliding door to smoothly move in the rail. The
damper 4 is provided with a spring 4-1. The spring 4-1 is received in the mounting cavity 1-2, with one end of the spring 4-1 abutting the sliding plate 2-3 and the other end abutting the end edge of the mounting cavity 1-2. The spring 4-1 provides the pulley 2-2 with a force acting on the track, making the pulley 2-2 rolls more smoothly in the track. The pulley 2-2 is connected to the sliding plate 2-3 by a rivet and rotatable, and the pulley 2-2 partially protrudes from the sliding plate 2-3. It's convenient to open or close the door by sliding via the pulley 2-2 rolling on the rail at the upper and lower ends of the door. The sliding plate 2-3 includes a plate and a bump protruding from the plate. The bump is provided with an abutting hole 2-4, and one end of the spring 4-1 is embedded in the abutting hole 2-4. By such abutting manner, the spring 4-1 can be effectively compressed between the mounting cavity 1-2 and the sliding plate 2-3, which highlights the cooperation of the spring 4-1 and the sliding plate 2-3, and bring the benefit spring force facilitates the rolling of the pulley 2-2 mounted on the sliding plate. The bottom plate 1-1 is provided with a mounting hole for fixing the pulley 2-2 on the door. - The sliding plate 2-3 is provided with a position limiting groove 2-5 which is engaged with the position limiting block 1-3 on the bottom plate 1-1. During installation, the pulley 2-2 is raised to the minimum distance from the door body and placed on the rail, then the position limiting block 1-3 is released, and after then adjust the front adjusting lever 3-6 and the back adjusting lever 3-7. In this way, the function, locking the pulley 2-2 at the minimum distance, can be achieved. This design is convenient to install and avoid the problem that the installation is blocked due to the distance between the pulley and the rail is too small to handle.
