Definitions

  • the invention relates to a rail guide for a shading device, in particular a fabric awning, according to the preamble of claim 1 and a shading device according to claim 12.
  • Such ZIP solutions generally include two support rails, which are usually designed in two or more parts and are arranged parallel to one another on both sides of the awning fabric. Inside each mounting rail, a profile rail is held, which is normally made of plastic and is supported on its tension side against the mounting rail with damping elements, for example made of foam.
  • the mounting rails are usually made from at least two aluminum profile elements that are screwed together.
  • An example mounting rail for such a zip solution is from EP-A-2631414 known, which discloses a two-piece mounting rail for vertical awnings with a one-piece receiving profile and a carrier profile, wherein the receiving profile is detachably connected to the carrier profile in the assembled state.
  • the carrier profile is used to fasten the receiving profile and is fastened to a wall reveal, for example, by means of screws.
  • a cloth guide insert is held in the receiving profile and has a C-shaped groove in which the awning cloth is held on the longitudinal side.
  • a sun blind with a one-piece mounting rail is about from the CH-B1-702041 famous.
  • the sun blind comprises a fabric web with thickenings at the edges, such as the piping of a zipper half, which protrude into a profile rail with a C-shaped cross section and are held therein.
  • the profile rail is held in the one-piece support rail and is supported in the direction of pull against the support rail by means of flexible foam bodies that are attached to the profile rail.
  • how the mounting rail is to be mounted on a building is in the CH-B1-702041 not revealed in detail. Since, when mounting on a window reveal, the profile rail cannot be inserted into the support rail after it has been attached, the support rail can be attached directly to the reveal, ie without additional Retaining profile or additional fasteners not possible.
  • one-piece support rails are advantageous in terms of their stability, but the profile rail, including the damping elements attached thereto, must be pushed into the support rail at one longitudinal end of the support rail. In the case of longer support rails in particular, this is associated with a great deal of effort due to the increasing frictional resistance proportional to the length of the profile rail to be inserted, and is usually only possible by machine at the factory. Furthermore, such an end insertion of the profile rail carries the risk that the damping elements fastened to the profile may be damaged by the profile tilting in the mounting rail.
  • the WO 2008/130784 A1 discloses a shading device for covering and sealing a building opening.
  • the device comprises a flexible curtain with a horizontal end rail and two one-piece profile rails designed as covers, in which the curtain slides longitudinally on both sides.
  • the profile rails are pivotally attached to support rails via hinges and can be pivoted from an open position to a closed position.
  • the end rail grips behind two tabs protruding on the window sill or floor, whereby the profile rails are fixed in the closed position and the building opening is sealed against an air flow.
  • the technical problem on which the invention is based is to provide a rail guide for a fabric awning with a simplified, one-piece mounting rail for receiving and holding a profile rail for the awning fabric, in which the mounting rail can be attached directly to a building wall and the manufacturing and assembly costs are reduced can be. Furthermore, a shading device with the mentioned rail guide is to be provided.
  • the rail guide according to the invention for a shading device, in particular a fabric awning comprises an outer A22091EP/12.02.2021 extending in a longitudinal direction one-piece support rail as a support element and a profile rail arranged in the support rail.
  • the support rail is intended to be attached to a part of a building and has a rear wall and first and second support rail side walls which each project from the rear wall.
  • the profile rail is intended for the longitudinal guidance of an awning fabric and has two webs which delimit a guide groove. Together with a wall connecting the two webs, the webs define a guide chamber which is open at the front through the guide groove and is intended to accommodate guide elements arranged longitudinally on the awning fabric, in particular a welt arranged longitudinally on the awning fabric.
  • the rail guide according to the invention is characterized by particularly time-saving and simple assembly. Thanks to the support rail, which is designed in one piece or in one piece, it is particularly stable and unbreakable, and there is no need for additional assembly work for assembling the support rail.
  • the profile rail assumes the lateral guiding and holding function of the awning fabric, in that the awning fabric protrudes on both sides through the guide groove into the guide chamber of a respective profile rail and therein through guide elements arranged longitudinally along the fabric, in particular a welt, for example in the form of staples or a half-zipper, guided and held.
  • the novelty of the present invention lies in particular in the fact that the support rail and the profile rail have a Joint movable, more specifically pivotable about a pivot axis, are connected to each other.
  • the joint is preferably formed by a part of the profile rail and a part of the mounting rail.
  • the articulated connection allows the profile rail to be pivoted from a mounting position outside the guide rail into a pivoted position positioned in the guide rail and then transferred into an operating position by releasably latching inside the guide rail.
  • the profile rail does not have to be pushed into the mounting rail at one longitudinal end of the latter, but can be brought into the mounting rail frontally or from the front on the fabric side.
  • the rail guide according to the invention thus allows the profile rail to be easily inserted after the mounting rail has been installed.
  • the mounting rail can be attached directly, ie without an additional holding or attachment profile, to a part of a building, such as a window reveal, which is particularly aesthetically pleasing.
  • the profile rail is outside the mounting rail so that the latter is freely accessible for assembly from the front and can be fastened at the desired location by means of fastening screws passed through holes in the rear wall or in one of the side walls of the mounting rail.
  • a rear or also a lateral assembly of the mounting rail on a part of a building is possible.
  • the rail guide according to the invention thus enables very simple and time-saving assembly, since the mounting rail is first mounted with the profile rail in the mounting position, the profile rail is then pivoted into the mounting rail and latched there in a detachable manner can be.
  • "releasably locked” means that the locking can be released again by a person skilled in the art, if necessary, in order to transfer the profile rail from the operating position to the pivoted-in position.
  • the support rail but also the profile rail is designed in one piece. This gives the rail guide as a whole very good stability and also reduces the assembly work, since both the mounting rail and the profile rail can be delivered ready-made from the factory.
  • Preferred materials for the production of the mounting rail and/or profile rail are, in particular, metal or plastic.
  • the support rail and/or the profile rail are preferably made from extruded aluminum.
  • the articulated connection between the support rail and profile rail is preferably inseparable transversely to the longitudinal direction.
  • the joint is designed in such a way that it not only supports the pivoting movement of the profile rail about the pivot axis, but also a translational displacement of the profile rail in the lateral direction (ie transverse to the longitudinal direction or parallel to the rear wall in the operating position) from the pivoted-in position to the Operating position and back allows.
  • the profile rail can be transferred from the pivoted-in position to the operating position by a translatory displacement in the lateral direction (transverse to the longitudinal direction) (and by a translatory displacement in the opposite direction from the operating position to the pivoted-in position).
  • the joint is formed by a joint channel and an articulated arm engaging in the joint channel.
  • the articulation channel is preferably formed on the front on the first support rail side wall and is preferably open on the front or fabric side.
  • the articulated arm is preferably formed at the front on the first side wall of the profile rail.
  • the articulated arm connects to a free front edge of the profile rail. (Of course it is also possible that the mounting rail carries the articulated arm and the articulated channel is formed on the profile rail.)
  • the joint channel is particularly preferably formed integrally on the first support rail side wall.
  • the articulated arm is preferably formed integrally on the first side wall of the profile rail. (Alternatively, the articulated arm can be formed on the support rail and the articulated channel can be formed on the profile rail.)
  • the profile rail In the operating position, according to the invention, the profile rail is in a state in which it is latched in the mounting rail.
  • the rail In this, the rail is fixed in the mounting rail and can perform neither a pivoting movement nor a translational displacement within the mounting rail.
  • One way of preventing the translational movement of the profile rail is, for example, that the joint channel is delimited by a channel wall and has a detent protruding from the channel wall into the interior of the joint channel, which in the operating position engages in a detent receptacle formed on the articulated arm and thus a Locking connection is formed between the articulated arm and the articulation channel.
  • the support rail can, for example, have a locking shoulder preferably formed on the inside on the second side wall, which in the operating position is engaged from behind by a holding element formed on the profile rail.
  • a spring element preferably supported on the rear wall, is arranged inside the mounting rail and exerts a force on the profile rail pointing away from the rear wall in the pivoted-in position and in the operating position.
  • this force exerted by the spring element has to be overcome when transferring the profile rail from the pivoted-in position into the operating position, which keeps the parts of the rail guide together in the operating position under pretension, and on the other hand causes the profile rail to move after the locking connection has been released, i.e. after it has been transferred from the operating position into the pivoted-in position (for example by translational displacement of the profile rail transversely to the longitudinal direction within the mounting rail), is pressed at least a little way out of the mounting rail.
  • the profile rail is automatically moved a little in the direction of the assembly position by the force, which makes the work of the fitter significantly easier.
  • the spring element is preferably arranged inside the support rail in a floor chamber that is open at the front and can preferably be displaced in the longitudinal direction held.
  • Said floor chamber is preferably delimited from time to time by the rear wall and two legs, the latter each protruding on the inside from the first and second support rail side wall.
  • the size and shape of the spring element is preferably adapted to the cross section of the floor chamber, so that it is held in the floor chamber in a preferably self-retaining (clamping) manner due to its spring properties.
  • the spring element can preferably be pressed into the floor chamber from the front (front) by hand or by machine. If necessary, it can be removed individually from the floor chamber and replaced after a certain period of operation due to wear and tear. Mechanical insertion during the production of the rail guide is of course also conceivable, so that the rail guide can already be delivered to the assembly site complete with spring elements arranged therein.
  • the spring element is preferably made of foam, in particular polyurethane.
  • the rail guide particularly preferably comprises a plurality of spring elements which are arranged in the support rail along the rear wall and spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction. Compared to a one-piece spring element extending over the length of the support rail, individual spring elements are easier to insert into the support rail and can also be replaced individually if necessary. In this way, assembly and material costs can be reduced.
  • the rail guide according to the invention is intended for guiding vertical awnings, in particular fabric awnings.
  • Rail guide for example, attached to the reveal of a building opening, in particular a window reveal.
  • the support rail is preferably attached by screwing.
  • the rear wall or one of the mounting rail side walls therefore preferably has fastening holes through which fastening screws can be passed, which serve to accommodate fastening screws. It goes without saying that a fitter can easily drill additional holes if this should prove to be necessary during assembly.
  • the back wall in particular is easily accessible from the front for the fitter when the profile rail is in the mounting position.
  • the heads of the fastening screws are particularly preferably supported on the inside on the rear wall or on one of the side walls of the mounting rail and protrude into the interior of the mounting rail (or into a floor chamber that may be present). They can thus serve as stop surfaces for spring elements which are arranged in the support rail so as to be displaceable in the longitudinal direction. In this way, the spring elements can each be displaced in the longitudinal direction until they abut against a screw head of a fastening screw.
  • the mounting holes can also be provided in the affected side wall of the mounting rail. Additional holes or openings are then preferably present in the other side wall, which lie in a common alignment with the fastening holes, generally running transversely to the longitudinal direction of the support rail. In this way, the fitter can use the additional screwing tool Reach through holes inside the mounting rail to mount the mounting rail by means of the mounting holes through cross-mounting screws.
  • the present invention also relates to a shading device which comprises two of the rail guides described above.
  • Said rail guides are arranged opposite one another and at a distance from one another, and a winding shaft is rotatably mounted above the support rails, so that an awning fabric which is fastened to the winding shaft and can be wound up or down on the winding shaft can be moved on both sides by means of guide elements held in the guide chambers in the Profile rails can be guided and held.
  • the profile rail is usually supported on its tension side with elastic damping elements, eg made of foam, against the mounting rail.
  • an awning fabric is preferably used in the shading device according to the invention, which comprises at least one area that extends longitudinally over the length of the awning fabric and is elastic (reversibly stretchable) transversely to the longitudinal direction.
  • the transverse elasticity of the awning fabric results in a resilient tensioning movement of the awning fabric in the transverse direction, so that the awning fabric can absorb force peaks when it is mounted, for example when there is a strong wind.
  • the transversely elastic properties can be obtained, for example, by manufacturing the awning fabric from a transversely elastic material over its entire width or at least over its entire length is cross-elastic in some areas.
  • the awning fabric particularly preferably comprises a fabric web and two longitudinal strips connected to the fabric web along the side edges, which are transversely elastic over their entire width and each have guide elements along a respective free strip edge, which are guided in the guide chambers.

  • each support rail has, at an end facing the winding shaft, an inlet funnel having an inlet keder groove for guiding the guide elements into the respective guide groove.

With external shading devices with flat hangings, such as fabric or vertical awnings, there is always a problem with the wind acting on the hanging. For this reason, cloth awnings with stable lateral guides have been proposed. So-called "zip solutions" have been established in recent years, in which the awning fabric is guided and held in two opposing profile rails by means of zip fastener halves attached on the long side. In particular, the awning fabric is kept under tension over the entire height, which prevents the awning fabric from forming creases and the awning also withstands stronger wind loads.

Such ZIP solutions generally include two support rails, which are usually designed in two or more parts and are arranged parallel to one another on both sides of the awning fabric. Inside each mounting rail, a profile rail is held, which is normally made of plastic and is supported on its tension side against the mounting rail with damping elements, for example made of foam. The mounting rails are usually made from at least two aluminum profile elements that are screwed together.

An example mounting rail for such a zip solution is from EP-A-2631414 known, which discloses a two-piece mounting rail for vertical awnings with a one-piece receiving profile and a carrier profile, wherein the receiving profile is detachably connected to the carrier profile in the assembled state. The carrier profile is used to fasten the receiving profile and is fastened to a wall reveal, for example, by means of screws. A cloth guide insert is held in the receiving profile and has a C-shaped groove in which the awning cloth is held on the longitudinal side.

In the case of two-part or multi-part support rails, however, an increased susceptibility to breakage has been shown, in particular under heavy loads, such as those caused by gusts of wind. In addition, their manufacture and/or assembly is often very complex.

A sun blind with a one-piece mounting rail is about from the CH-B1-702041 famous. The sun blind comprises a fabric web with thickenings at the edges, such as the piping of a zipper half, which protrude into a profile rail with a C-shaped cross section and are held therein. The profile rail is held in the one-piece support rail and is supported in the direction of pull against the support rail by means of flexible foam bodies that are attached to the profile rail. However, how the mounting rail is to be mounted on a building is in the CH-B1-702041 not revealed in detail. Since, when mounting on a window reveal, the profile rail cannot be inserted into the support rail after it has been attached, the support rail can be attached directly to the reveal, ie without additional Retaining profile or additional fasteners not possible.

In addition, one-piece support rails are advantageous in terms of their stability, but the profile rail, including the damping elements attached thereto, must be pushed into the support rail at one longitudinal end of the support rail.

The device comprises a flexible curtain with a horizontal end rail and two one-piece profile rails designed as covers, in which the curtain slides longitudinally on both sides. The profile rails are pivotally attached to support rails via hinges and can be pivoted from an open position to a closed position. When the curtain is completely lowered, the end rail grips behind two tabs protruding on the window sill or floor, whereby the profile rails are fixed in the closed position and the building opening is sealed against an air flow.

The technical problem on which the invention is based is to provide a rail guide for a fabric awning with a simplified, one-piece mounting rail for receiving and holding a profile rail for the awning fabric, in which the mounting rail can be attached directly to a building wall and the manufacturing and assembly costs are reduced can be. Furthermore, a shading device with the mentioned rail guide is to be provided.

This object is achieved by the rail guide according to claim 1 and the shading device according to claim 12. Preferred embodiments are the subject of dependent claims.

The rail guide according to the invention for a shading device, in particular a fabric awning, comprises an outer A22091EP/12.02.2021 extending in a longitudinal direction one-piece support rail as a support element and a profile rail arranged in the support rail. The support rail is intended to be attached to a part of a building and has a rear wall and first and second support rail side walls which each project from the rear wall. The profile rail is intended for the longitudinal guidance of an awning fabric and has two webs which delimit a guide groove. Together with a wall connecting the two webs, the webs define a guide chamber which is open at the front through the guide groove and is intended to accommodate guide elements arranged longitudinally on the awning fabric, in particular a welt arranged longitudinally on the awning fabric.

The rail guide according to the invention is characterized by particularly time-saving and simple assembly. Thanks to the support rail, which is designed in one piece or in one piece, it is particularly stable and unbreakable, and there is no need for additional assembly work for assembling the support rail.

During operation, the profile rail assumes the lateral guiding and holding function of the awning fabric, in that the awning fabric protrudes on both sides through the guide groove into the guide chamber of a respective profile rail and therein through guide elements arranged longitudinally along the fabric, in particular a welt, for example in the form of staples or a half-zipper, guided and held.

The novelty of the present invention lies in particular in the fact that the support rail and the profile rail have a Joint movable, more specifically pivotable about a pivot axis, are connected to each other. The joint is preferably formed by a part of the profile rail and a part of the mounting rail. According to the invention, the articulated connection allows the profile rail to be pivoted from a mounting position outside the guide rail into a pivoted position positioned in the guide rail and then transferred into an operating position by releasably latching inside the guide rail. In contrast to known one-piece mounting rails, the profile rail does not have to be pushed into the mounting rail at one longitudinal end of the latter, but can be brought into the mounting rail frontally or from the front on the fabric side.

The rail guide according to the invention thus allows the profile rail to be easily inserted after the mounting rail has been installed. In particular, the mounting rail can be attached directly, ie without an additional holding or attachment profile, to a part of a building, such as a window reveal, which is particularly aesthetically pleasing. In the assembly position, the profile rail is outside the mounting rail so that the latter is freely accessible for assembly from the front and can be fastened at the desired location by means of fastening screws passed through holes in the rear wall or in one of the side walls of the mounting rail. Thus, in this respect, a rear or also a lateral assembly of the mounting rail on a part of a building is possible. Overall, the rail guide according to the invention thus enables very simple and time-saving assembly, since the mounting rail is first mounted with the profile rail in the mounting position, the profile rail is then pivoted into the mounting rail and latched there in a detachable manner can be. In this context, "releasably locked" means that the locking can be released again by a person skilled in the art, if necessary, in order to transfer the profile rail from the operating position to the pivoted-in position.

Particularly preferably, not only the support rail but also the profile rail is designed in one piece. This gives the rail guide as a whole very good stability and also reduces the assembly work, since both the mounting rail and the profile rail can be delivered ready-made from the factory. Preferred materials for the production of the mounting rail and/or profile rail are, in particular, metal or plastic. For reasons of aesthetics and longevity, the support rail and/or the profile rail are preferably made from extruded aluminum.

The articulated connection between the support rail and profile rail is preferably inseparable transversely to the longitudinal direction. Furthermore, according to the invention, the joint is designed in such a way that it not only supports the pivoting movement of the profile rail about the pivot axis, but also a translational displacement of the profile rail in the lateral direction (ie transverse to the longitudinal direction or parallel to the rear wall in the operating position) from the pivoted-in position to the Operating position and back allows. Specifically, according to the invention, the profile rail can be transferred from the pivoted-in position to the operating position by a translatory displacement in the lateral direction (transverse to the longitudinal direction) (and by a translatory displacement in the opposite direction from the operating position to the pivoted-in position).

In a preferred embodiment, the joint is formed by a joint channel and an articulated arm engaging in the joint channel. In this case, the articulation channel is preferably formed on the front on the first support rail side wall and is preferably open on the front or fabric side. Analogously, the articulated arm is preferably formed at the front on the first side wall of the profile rail. For example, the articulated arm connects to a free front edge of the profile rail. (Of course it is also possible that the mounting rail carries the articulated arm and the articulated channel is formed on the profile rail.)

The joint channel is particularly preferably formed integrally on the first support rail side wall. Analogous to this, the articulated arm is preferably formed integrally on the first side wall of the profile rail. (Alternatively, the articulated arm can be formed on the support rail and the articulated channel can be formed on the profile rail.)

In the operating position, according to the invention, the profile rail is in a state in which it is latched in the mounting rail. In this, the rail is fixed in the mounting rail and can perform neither a pivoting movement nor a translational displacement within the mounting rail. One way of preventing the translational movement of the profile rail is, for example, that the joint channel is delimited by a channel wall and has a detent protruding from the channel wall into the interior of the joint channel, which in the operating position engages in a detent receptacle formed on the articulated arm and thus a Locking connection is formed between the articulated arm and the articulation channel.

In order to additionally prevent the pivoting movement of the profile rail about the pivot axis in the operating position, the support rail can, for example, have a locking shoulder preferably formed on the inside on the second side wall, which in the operating position is engaged from behind by a holding element formed on the profile rail.

In a preferred embodiment, a spring element, preferably supported on the rear wall, is arranged inside the mounting rail and exerts a force on the profile rail pointing away from the rear wall in the pivoted-in position and in the operating position.

On the one hand, this force exerted by the spring element has to be overcome when transferring the profile rail from the pivoted-in position into the operating position, which keeps the parts of the rail guide together in the operating position under pretension, and on the other hand causes the profile rail to move after the locking connection has been released, i.e. after it has been transferred from the operating position into the pivoted-in position (for example by translational displacement of the profile rail transversely to the longitudinal direction within the mounting rail), is pressed at least a little way out of the mounting rail. After assuming the pivoted-in position, in which the profile rail can be pivoted about the pivot axis, the profile rail is automatically moved a little in the direction of the assembly position by the force, which makes the work of the fitter significantly easier.

The spring element is preferably arranged inside the support rail in a floor chamber that is open at the front and can preferably be displaced in the longitudinal direction held. Said floor chamber is preferably delimited from time to time by the rear wall and two legs, the latter each protruding on the inside from the first and second support rail side wall. The size and shape of the spring element is preferably adapted to the cross section of the floor chamber, so that it is held in the floor chamber in a preferably self-retaining (clamping) manner due to its spring properties.

The spring element can preferably be pressed into the floor chamber from the front (front) by hand or by machine. If necessary, it can be removed individually from the floor chamber and replaced after a certain period of operation due to wear and tear. Mechanical insertion during the production of the rail guide is of course also conceivable, so that the rail guide can already be delivered to the assembly site complete with spring elements arranged therein.

The spring element is preferably made of foam, in particular polyurethane.

The rail guide particularly preferably comprises a plurality of spring elements which are arranged in the support rail along the rear wall and spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction. Compared to a one-piece spring element extending over the length of the support rail, individual spring elements are easier to insert into the support rail and can also be replaced individually if necessary. In this way, assembly and material costs can be reduced.

As mentioned above, the rail guide according to the invention is intended for guiding vertical awnings, in particular fabric awnings. For that she will Rail guide, for example, attached to the reveal of a building opening, in particular a window reveal. The support rail is preferably attached by screwing. For mounting the mounting rail on the building part, the rear wall or one of the mounting rail side walls therefore preferably has fastening holes through which fastening screws can be passed, which serve to accommodate fastening screws. It goes without saying that a fitter can easily drill additional holes if this should prove to be necessary during assembly. As already mentioned above, the back wall in particular is easily accessible from the front for the fitter when the profile rail is in the mounting position. The heads of the fastening screws are particularly preferably supported on the inside on the rear wall or on one of the side walls of the mounting rail and protrude into the interior of the mounting rail (or into a floor chamber that may be present). They can thus serve as stop surfaces for spring elements which are arranged in the support rail so as to be displaceable in the longitudinal direction. In this way, the spring elements can each be displaced in the longitudinal direction until they abut against a screw head of a fastening screw.

For mounting the mounting rail by attaching one of its side walls to a part of the building, the mounting holes can also be provided in the affected side wall of the mounting rail. The present invention also relates to a shading device which comprises two of the rail guides described above. Said rail guides are arranged opposite one another and at a distance from one another, and a winding shaft is rotatably mounted above the support rails, so that an awning fabric which is fastened to the winding shaft and can be wound up or down on the winding shaft can be moved on both sides by means of guide elements held in the guide chambers in the Profile rails can be guided and held.

März 2016 eingereichten europäischen Patentanmeldung Nr. 16 158 411.5 beschriebenIn order to build up cloth tension in the transverse direction of the awning cloth and, for example, absorb wind pressure in a resilient manner, the profile rail is usually supported on its tension side with elastic damping elements, eg made of foam, against the mounting rail. Instead of such damping elements, an awning fabric is preferably used in the shading device according to the invention, which comprises at least one area that extends longitudinally over the length of the awning fabric and is elastic (reversibly stretchable) transversely to the longitudinal direction. The transverse elasticity of the awning fabric results in a resilient tensioning movement of the awning fabric in the transverse direction, so that the awning fabric can absorb force peaks when it is mounted, for example when there is a strong wind. The transversely elastic properties can be obtained, for example, by manufacturing the awning fabric from a transversely elastic material over its entire width or at least over its entire length is cross-elastic in some areas. The awning fabric particularly preferably comprises a fabric web and two longitudinal strips connected to the fabric web along the side edges, which are transversely elastic over their entire width and each have guide elements along a respective free strip edge, which are guided in the guide chambers. A corresponding awning fabric with transversely elastic longitudinal stripes is, for example, in the application filed on March 3, 2016 in the name of the applicant European Patent Application No. 16158411.5 described

Furthermore, it is preferred that each support rail has, at an end facing the winding shaft, an inlet funnel having an inlet keder groove for guiding the guide elements into the respective guide groove.

As an introduction, it should be noted that the same parts are provided with the same reference numbers or the same component designations in the individual figures.

In 1 shows a horizontal section through an embodiment of a rail guide, which has an outer, extending in a longitudinal direction (see Figures 5 and 6 ), one-piece support rail 10 as a support element and a profile rail 12 arranged in the support rail 10 . The profile rail 12 is provided for the longitudinal guidance of an awning fabric 14 and has a guide chamber 18 which is open on the front side through an undercut guide groove 16 running in the longitudinal direction (L) and which is intended for receiving a welt 20 arranged longitudinally on the awning fabric 14 (see Fig 4 ). The guide chamber 18 is specifically by a rear wall 22 running in the transverse direction (Q) in the assembled state, a first and second side wall 24 and 25 protruding at right angles from the rear wall 22 at the front and forming a rear edge, and two each approximately in the middle of a respective side wall 24 , 25 are defined as central webs 26 projecting towards one another, the central webs 26 delimiting the guide groove 16 . The guide chamber 18 is delimited on the cloth side by the two central webs 26 between which the guide groove 16 is present. The profile rail 12 also has a first and a second front web 30, 31, which each protrude at right angles in the direction away from one another, forming a respective front edge from the first and second side wall 24, 25, respectively. On the outside of the second side wall 25 there is also a retaining web 36 which protrudes from the second side wall 25 parallel to the second front web 31 .

The support rail 10 has a rear wall 38 and a first and a second support rail side wall 40, 41 each projecting at right angles from the rear wall 38. In the embodiment shown, the support rail side walls 40, 41 are each formed by an outer and an inner side wall, which are each spaced apart from one another in the transverse direction Q.

Konkret kann die Profilschiene 12 somit parallel zur Rückwand 38 in Richtung der zweiten Tragschienenseitenwand 40 in eine Betriebsstellung (Fig. 3) bewegt werden, in welcher der Haltesteg 36 eine innenseitig an der zweiten Tragschienenseitenwand 41 ausgebildete Rastschulter 44 hintergreift (siehe Fig. 3)._In a front end area of the first mounting rail side wall 40, the mounting rail 10 also has a joint channel 42, which is delimited by a channel wall 43 and in which a profile-shaped articulated arm 34 of the profile rail 12 engages. The joint formed by the articulated arm 34 and the articulation channel 42 is associated with 2 described in detail. By the When the articulated arm 34 engages in the articulation channel 42, the support rail 10 and the profile rail 12 are articulated, ie movably connected to one another. In concrete terms, the articulated connection allows the profile rail 12 to be pivoted about a pivot axis SA running in the longitudinal direction from an assembly position located outside the mounting rail 10 ( 1 ) into a pivoted-in position ( 2 ) (and back) what in 1 is indicated by an arrow. On the other hand, the articulated connection allows a translatory displacement of the profile rail 12 in the lateral direction, ie in the transverse direction Q, when the profile rail 12 is in the pivoted-in position. This translational degree of freedom is in 2 indicated by the double arrow. Specifically, the profile rail 12 can thus parallel to the rear wall 38 in the direction of the second support rail side wall 40 in an operating position ( 3 ) are moved, in which the holding web 36 engages behind a latching shoulder 44 formed on the inside of the second mounting rail side wall 41 (see 3 )._

Die Schwenkachse SA (siehe Fig. 1) verläuft in Längsrichtung durch den Gelenkkopf 34c.The joint that pivotally connects the mounting rail 10 to the profile rail 12 is in 2 circled with a circle marked "x". As mentioned above, it comprises two parts, namely the articulated arm 34, which is integrally formed on the profile rail 12 in the embodiment shown, and the articulated channel 42, which is integrally formed on the support rail 10. The articulated arm 34 is specifically attached to a free end edge 32 (see 1 ) of the first front web 30 of the profile rail and comprises, starting from said free end edge 32, an arc segment 34a (with a circumference of about a quarter of a circle) and an arc segment 34a adjoining straight arm segment 34b, which extends parallel to the first side wall 24 and has a profile-shaped joint head 34c at its free end. The joint head 34c is approximately circular in cross section and has a locking receptacle 48, the function of which will be explained further below. The swivel axis SA (see 1 ) runs longitudinally through the rod end 34c.

The articulated channel 42 is delimited by a channel wall 43 which, in analogy to the articulated arm 34, also has an arcuate segment 43a and a straight channel segment 43b adjoining it. The arcuate segment 43a of the articulated channel 42 forms the counterpart to the arcuate segment 34a of the articulated arm 34. The rectilinear channel segment 43b is formed by a front end section of the outer first support rail side wall 40. The channel wall 43 further includes a channel web 43c, which at the free front end forms a front end edge 43d (see 3 ) protrudes at right angles from said support rail side wall 40 or the straight channel segment 43b in the direction of the second support rail side wall 41. The transition between channel web 43c and channel segment 43b is in the form of a segment of a circle and forms a type of profile-shaped joint socket for the profile-shaped joint head 34c when the profile rail 12 is in the pivoted-in position.

In the swiveled-in position shown, the straight arm segment 34b runs parallel to the first support rail outer wall 40 and rests at least approximately on this. The channel web 43c runs in alignment with the first front web 30 and has a starting from Channel segment 43c has a detent 46 protruding into the interior of the joint channel 42 (see also 3 ).

By translational displacement in the transverse direction Q (see 1 ) the profile rail 12 is transferred from the pivoted-in position to the operating position. As a result, the latching lug 46 formed on the channel wall 43 and protruding into the interior of the joint channel 42 comes into engagement with the latching receptacle 48 formed on the joint head 34c. in the in 2 The swiveling-in position shown is not yet in engagement with the locking receptacle 48. In contrast, the locking lug 46 engages in FIG 3 Operating position shown in the locking receptacle 48, whereby the translatory movement of the rail 12 in the mounting rail 10 is prevented. In comparison to the swiveled-in position, the arm segment 34b in the operating position is spaced apart from the channel segment 43b in the lateral direction (ie transverse to the longitudinal direction) and the arcuate segment 34a of the articulated arm rests against the arcuate segment 43a on the channel inside. Furthermore, the locking shoulder 44 engages behind the holding web 36, as a result of which the profile rail 12 pivots out about the pivot axis SA (see FIG 1 ) from the mounting rail 10 is prevented. By engaging the locking lug 46 in the locking receptacle 48 and by the locking shoulder 44 being engaged by the holding web 36, the profile rail 12 is fixed or locked within the mounting rail 10 in the operating position. However, this latching can also be released again, preferably manually or preferably at least without the use of heavy tools, so that the profile rail 12 can be removed from the operating position ( 3 ) back to the pivoted-in position ( 2 ) and from this out of the mounting rail 10 into the mounting position ( 1 ) can be transferred.

How from the in 4 The cross section shown clearly shows that the awning fabric 14 is guided and held in the guide chamber 18 on both sides by means of guide elements held in the guide chamber 18, specifically by means of a respective preferably continuous welt 20 (in 4 only one side of the awning fabric 14 and associated rail guide is visible). Instead of a continuous welt 20, brims of a zipper or some other thickened edge on the awning fabric 14 could also be used. The awning cloth is attached at its lower end to a drop rod 62 which is guided with a projection 49 between the first and second side walls 24, 25 of the profile rail 12. The piping 20 preferably extends over the entire length of the awning fabric 14, i.e. from the winding shaft to the drop rod 62.

The support rail 10 has a floor chamber 50 which is open through a floor gap 51 which is continuous in the longitudinal direction L at the front (ie on the cloth side) (see also 3 ), which is delimited at the rear by the rear wall 38 and at the front by two legs 52, the latter each protruding on the inside from the first and second mounting rail side walls 40, 41. A plurality of spring elements 54 spaced apart from one another are arranged in the bottom chamber 50 (see also Figures 5 and 6 ).

The spring elements 54 can theoretically be fastened in the floor chamber 50, for example glued, but they are preferably held in the floor chamber 50 such that they can be displaced in the longitudinal direction. The spring elements 54 point in of the embodiment shown have a T-shaped cross section and are supported on the rear wall 38 by a back part 56 running parallel to the rear wall 38 . A support part 58 protruding centrally and at right angles from the back part 56 projects through the floor gap 51 out of the floor chamber 50 in the installed position and is pressed or compressed in the direction of the rear wall 38 when the profile rail 12 pivots into the support rail 10 . In this way, each spring element 54 exerts in the pivoted-in position ( 2 ) as well as in the in 4 Operating position shown in the direction of the rear wall 38 pointing away force on the rail 12.

If the profile rail 12 is displaced laterally from the operating position (transverse to the longitudinal direction L) in the direction away from the second mounting rail side wall 41 in the direction of the first mounting rail side wall 40, the latching connection between retaining web 36 and latching shoulder 44 is released and the latching lug 46 moved in the articulated channel 42 out of the locking receptacle 48 of the articulated arm 34 (see 2 ). The profile rail 12 can thus be pivoted freely again about the pivot axis SA and is pressed out of the mounting rail 10 due to the force exerted by the compressed spring element 54 . In this respect, the profile rail 12 is independently moved a little way out of the pivoted-in position in the direction of the assembly position, which makes the work of the fitter significantly easier. The spring elements 54 can be pushed into the bottom chamber 50 from the front by hand or by machine. If necessary, they can also be individually removed from the bottom chamber 50 and replaced after a certain period of operation due to wear.

In operation, the awning fabric 14 is connected with its upper end to a winding shaft, not shown (in 6 the suspension 60 of the winding shaft is visible) and attached to its extension-side or lower end is the drop rod 62, which extends in the transverse direction and is thus arranged parallel to the winding shaft, which can be provided with weights and is movably guided in the longitudinal direction L in the profile rails 12 . The winding shaft can have an electric drive (not shown) in a known manner or, if necessary, can also be driven manually.

In the embodiment shown, none of the usual damping elements are present in the support rail 10 in order to support the profile rail 12 on the support rail 10 on the cloth side and to keep the awning cloth 14 under tension in the transverse direction. Instead of such damping elements, an awning cloth 14 is used in the shading device shown, which is transversely elastic at least in certain areas. The damping function is taken over by the awning fabric 14 itself. In this case, either the entire awning fabric 14 can have cross-elastic properties over its width, or, as in 4 shown, corresponding to that in the older European Patent Application No. 16158411.5 The awning fabric 14 described by the same applicant has two transversely elastic longitudinal strips 64 fastened longitudinally along the side edges, which are glued or sewn to the fabric web of the awning fabric 14 .

As in figure 5 clearly visible, the rear wall 38 of the mounting rail 10 is free in the assembled position from the front accessible. Thus, for mounting the mounting rail 10, fastening screws 66 can be passed through mounting holes 68 present in the rear wall 38 in order to fasten the mounting rail 10 at the desired mounting location. The fastening screws 66 preferably also serve as a stop surface for the spring elements 54 held in the floor chamber 50, so that these are supported in the longitudinal direction L towards the bottom.

As in Figures 5 and 6 clearly recognizable, the support rail 10 has at its upper end 72 facing a box 70 a respective inlet funnel 74 which, starting from the upper end, widens in the shape of a funnel and protrudes into the box. The inlet funnel 74 has an inlet keder groove 76 which merges seamlessly into the guide groove 16 of the respective profile rail 12 on the underside when the latter is in the operating position. This ensures that the awning fabric, not shown, runs smoothly into the guide grooves 16 of the profile rails 12 on both sides. The inlet funnels 74 are usually connected to the support rails 10 by clips. In the operating position of the profile rail 12, the inlet funnel 74 rests with a lower edge on an end face at the upper end 78 of the profile rail 12. The inlet funnel 74 has two inlet guide elements 80 which are arranged in a box-side end region on the support rail 10 by means of fastening screw connections.
