Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a chimney hood for a hookah head and the use of such a chimney hood with a hookah head for use with a hookah.
  • the present invention also relates to the use of adapters in an arrangement of chimney hoods for hookah heads.
  • Hookahs in particular those of an oriental design, here and hereinafter also referred to as shisha, are essentially comparable in their function to a wash bottle for gases, since in them the tobacco smoke that arises from the tobacco's evaporation by means of a hot gas stream generated by coal the water contained in the hookah is cleaned and cooled.
  • hookah variants that differ in terms of design, size and material.
  • the sizes of the shisha can vary. Water pipes with heights of 60 to 90 centimeters are common in shisha cafes. So-called mini-shishas with a height of up to 40 centimeters are also known.
  • a shisha comprises a water vessel open at the top and a column of smoke with a pipe, at the upper end of which there is a head for receiving the tobacco and the lower end of which is in the water vessel, in such a way that when the water pipe is operated, the end in the water in the water tank is immersed.
  • the column of smoke usually has a closure means in the lower area, which closes the opening of the water vessel more or less gas-tight, e.g. a plug or screw cap.
  • a closure means in the lower area, which closes the opening of the water vessel more or less gas-tight, e.g. a plug or screw cap.
  • one or more hoses are attached in the area of the sealing device of the smoke column, which are connected to the gas space above the water level of the water vessel and through which the smoke is absorbed by the smoker during operation of the water pipe.
  • the shishas can also have a pressure valve to blow out smoke.
  • the head on the top of the column of smoke is a small container with a recess into which the tobacco is filled.
  • the tobacco When the hookah is in operation, the tobacco is heated by means of a glowing fuel, usually coal, arranged above the tobacco, as a result of which the tobacco aromas evaporate.
  • a glowing fuel usually coal
  • the tobacco filled in the head is covered with a perforated aluminum foil or a fine metal sieve.
  • the glowing coal is placed on it during the operation of the hookah. Due to the construction of the water pipe, the air flow generated when the smoke is inhaled flows along the coal, causing it to heat up and thus heat the tobacco in such a way that the smoke components gradually evaporate from it.
  • the smoke generated in this way initially flows through the inner tube of the column of smoke, from which it is led into the water, where it cools and is cleaned, and then accumulates in the gas phase of the water vessel. There it can be removed by the smoker using the hoses.
  • the way shishas work is known, for example, from Wikipedia, "https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/shisha" and "https://en.wikipedia.org
  • US 2011/0088706 A1 describes a hookah head system with a central tip and a hookah bowl system with a coal plate.
  • the coal plate fits around the tip and can be held on the hookah bowl with several means.
  • the tip supports the transport, attachment, use and removal of the hookah bowl.
  • WO 2014/032716 A1 describes a hookah head which comprises a capsule with smokable material.
  • chimney hoods are offered, which are adapted to the clay heads and are usually offered together with these as so-called chimney heads.
  • the chimney hood should achieve a more even evaporation of the water pipe tobacco.
  • Chimney hoods are usually available for clay heads with a nominal diameter of 65 mm.
  • the nominal diameter of the pipe bowls usually refer to the outer diameter of the upper rim of the clay bowls.
  • Commercially available chimney hoods have the disadvantages that they are not easy to clean and have a lifespan of only about 20 to 30 smoke cycles. A smoking cycle usually lasts 1 to 11 ⁇ 2 hours.
  • Chimney heads for larger heads, for example with a nominal diameter of 90 mm have so far not been commercially available.
  • the chimney hood should improve the heat distribution and / or extend the smoking cycles and thus also optimize coal consumption. Simplified cleaning and / or a longer service life are also desirable. In addition, especially in the case of the cheaper chimney hoods, burning of the tobacco and the associated taste disadvantages cannot often be avoided efficiently.
  • chimney hoods include, inter alia, a perforated plate with a plurality of non-round holes, a sieve arrangement arranged above the perforated plate, a spacer and a chimney pipe which is guided from bottom to top through the perforated plate and the sieve arrangement.
  • the chimney effect is optimally used for heat distribution. Because the air flow heated by the glowing coal due to the Special arrangement and design of perforated plate, sieve arrangement, spacer and chimney pipe does not flow directly along the tobacco, but is swirled between the sieve support and perforated plate, the tobacco is heated comparatively gently and burning of the tobacco is effectively prevented. The smoke becomes cooler and milder; it is perceived as less scratchy and more pleasant overall. This arrangement also results in a more even burning of the coal, so that fuel is saved and the carbon monoxide concentration in the smoke is reduced.
  • Coal that is still burning can be pushed onto the protruding screen rim of the chimney hood according to the invention to interrupt the smoking cycle.
  • the coal then advantageously continues to burn evenly from below due to the air circulation and does not have to be ignited again if the smoking cycle continues.
  • the smoke cycle is not continued or the smoking cycle is ended, the coal can continue to burn evenly and completely to ash.
  • the design of the sieve rim allows the fuel to lie on the sieve without touching the webs, so that it burns completely to ash dust and can be disposed of in a simple and safe manner after cooling.
  • the fuel of the prior art is in smoking breaks or after the smoking cycle has ended on edges or plates through which no air can circulate. According to the prior art, complete combustion of the fuel to ash is generally not achieved; The disposal of such "lumps of coal" is more problematic than that of ash dust, also from a safety point of view.
  • the chimney hood according to the invention can be adapted to almost all tobacco heads using an adapter.
  • the chimney hood made of stainless steel can be easily and thoroughly cleaned in the dishwasher.
  • the spacer essentially consists of a uniformly polygonal or circular ring. Its inside and / or outside is provided with one or more spacing devices. With the spacer device (s) a defined distance of the sieve from the upper edge of the hookah head is set.
  • the spacing devices can be linear or point-shaped supports.
  • the spacer can be provided on its inside and / or outside with one or more holding or support devices for receiving the perforated plate.
  • the holding or support devices can also be linear or point-shaped supports.
  • the spacer has two or more punctiform spacing devices on its inside.

  • the radial webs are preferably distributed uniformly over the circumference of the concentric rings. They are particularly preferably arranged symmetrically.
