- the above described cigarette making method of the invention is also applicable to making cigarettes from a single filter, in which case the steps of cutting the double cigarettes and rotating one of the two cigarettes obtained by cutting are omitted.
- the invention achieves its preset aim, in particular by allowing the first portion of the patch to be wrapped and fixed around the active portion without causing glue to come into contact with the active portion. That means no adhesive substance is burnt and thus that the smoke inhaled is not contaminated by extraneous combustion products.
- the first portion also acts as a self-extinguishing zone, preventing combustion of the second portion of the patch (which is applied using an adhesive substance in order to maintain the structural integrity of the cigarette).

Claims (15)
- Cigarette comprenant un filtre (2), une partie active (3) pour libérer une substance à inhaler et une bande (4) reliant la partie active (3) et le filtre (2) entre eux, caractérisée en ce que la bande (4) comporte une première partie d'extrémité (4a) annulaire enroulée librement autour de la partie active (3), et une seconde partie (4b) annulaire adjacente à la première partie annulaire (4b) et collée autour du filtre (2) et de la partie active (3).
- Cigarette selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle la bande (4) comporte une troisième partie (4c) étant adjacente à la première partie (4a) et à la seconde partie (4b) et étant collée à la première partie (4a).
- Cigarette selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisée en ce que la première partie (4a) de la bande (4) possède une perméabilité à l'air inférieure à celle de la seconde partie (4b) de la bande (4).
- Cigarette selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce que la première partie (4a) de la bande possède une perméabilité à l'air réduite.
- Cigarette selon l'une ou plusieurs des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce que la première partie (4a) de la bande (4) est constituée de la même matière que la seconde partie (4b) de la bande (4) et est revêtue d'une matière ayant une perméabilité à l'air réduite ou nulle.
- Cigarette selon une ou plusieurs des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce que la première partie (4a) de la bande (4) est constituée de la même matière que la seconde partie (4b) de la bande (4) et est enduite d'une matière ignifuge ou à inflammabilité réduite.
- Cigarette selon une ou plusieurs des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce que la première partie (4a) de la bande (4) est faite de la même matière que la seconde partie (4b) de la bande (4) et est imprégnée d'une matière possédant une perméabilité à l'air réduite ou nulle.
- Cigarette selon une ou plusieurs des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce que la première partie (4a) de la bande (4) est constituée de la même matière que la seconde partie (4b) de la bande (4) et est imprégnée d'une matière à inflammabilité réduite ou ignifuge.
- Procédé de fabrication d'une cigarette, comprenant les étapes de :- préparer au moins un filtre (2) ;- préparer au moins une partie active (3) correspondante pour libérer une substance à inhaler ;- préparer une bande (4) servant à relier le filtre (2) et la partie active (3) l'un à l'autre ;- enrouler la bande (4) autour du filtre (2) et de la partie active (3) en la roulant de telle manière que la bande (4) ait une première partie d'extrémité (4a) annulaire enroulée librement autour de la partie active (3), et une seconde partie annulaire (4b), adjacente à la première partie annulaire (4b) et collée autour du filtre (2) et de la partie active (3).
- Procédé selon la revendication 9, dans lequel l'étape consistant à préparer la bande (4) comprend une étape consistant à réduire la perméabilité à l'air de la première partie (4a) de la bande (4) comparativement à la seconde partie (4b).
- Procédé selon la revendication 10, dans lequel l'étape consistant à réduire la perméabilité à l'air de la première partie (4a) de la bande (4) comprend une étape consistant à revêtir la première partie (4a) de la bande (4) avec une matière possédant une perméabilité à l'air réduite.
- Procédé selon la revendication 10 ou 11, dans lequel l'étape consistant à réduire la perméabilité à l'air de la première partie (4a) de la bande (4) comprend une étape consistant à imprégner la première partie (4a) de la bande (4) avec une matière possédant une perméabilité à l'air réduite.
- Procédé selon une ou plusieurs des revendications 9 à 12, dans lequel l'étape consistant à préparer la bande (4) comprend une étape consistant à réduire l'inflammabilité de la première partie (4a) de la bande (4) comparativement à la seconde partie (4b).
- Procédé selon la revendication 13, dans lequel l'étape consistant à réduire l'inflammabilité de la première partie (4a) de la bande (4) comprend une étape consistant à revêtir la première partie (4a) de la bande (4) avec une matière à inflammabilité réduite ou ignifuge.
- Procédé selon la revendication 13 ou 14, dans lequel l'étape consistant à réduire l'inflammabilité de la première partie (4a) de la bande (4) comprend une étape consistant à imprégner la première partie (4a) de la bande (4) avec une matière à inflammabilité réduite ou ignifuge.
