Dazu ist eine Lageveränderungseinrichtung vorgesehen, diese umfasst beispielsweise zumindest eine Spindel, die mit den Halteeinrichtungen kämmt. Eine von außen eingetragene Drehbewegung kann in eine Lageänderung der Halteeinrichtungen für die Magnete und somit auch die Anordnung der Vorsprünge auf der Außenseite des Walzenkörpers umgesetzt werden. Die entsprechende Drehbewegung der Spindel kann dabei maschinell ausgelöst werden, entsprechende zum Beispiel Schrittmotoren können fernangesteuert sein. Das Umrüsten einer entsprechenden Anlage mit gattungsgemäßen Vorrichtungen zum Führen von Materialbahnen kann damit auf Knopfdruck und in kürzerer Zeit erfolgen. Die Vorsprünge können voneinander verschiedene Beschichtungen aufweisen.
