Claims (8)
- A turret (2) intended to be mounted on an armored vehicle, comprising a barrel system, covering the range of medium and large calibers, having a barrel liner (4) and a tube (3) for protection against impacts and vibrations, connected to the liner of the barrel (4) at the junction with the mask (5) of the turret (2) and comprising a rigid and interchangeable interface system (1) to attach to the turret (2) a piece of functional equipment (10) comprising at least an aiming system (10), the interface system (1) being fastened on the tube (3) for protection against impacts and vibrations such that the interface system (1) is placed in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the barrel system (4), said turret (2) being characterized in that the interface system (1) comprises, in the following predefined order:- an essentially semi-circular or semi-cylindrical enclosure (6) serving as a support surrounding said tube (3) for protection against impacts and vibrations,- a base (7) attached to said enclosure (6),- a plate (8) over said base (7),- a support (9) fastened perpendicular to said plate (8).
- The turret (2) according to claim 1, characterized in that the set of elements made up of the protective tube (3), the essentially semi-circular or semi-cylindrical enclosure (6), the base (7), the plate (8) and the support (9) are fastened to one another in the above predefined order.
- The turret (2) according to claim 2, characterized in that the fastening is done by a screw and/or bolt system.
- The turret (2) according to claim 1, characterized in that the aiming system (10) is fastened to the support (9) of the interface system (1) by a screw and/or bolt system.
- The turret (2) according to claim 1, characterized in that the aiming system (10) is also situated in the plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the barrel system (4), the aiming system (4) having its optical axis parallel or slightly inclined relative to the longitudinal axis of the barrel system so that the target can be kept in the field of view of the aiming system, without having to have a mechanical and/or electronic link between the barrel system and the aiming system.
- The turret (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the interface support (1) is inserted in a location where the impacts and vibrations experienced by said interface system (1) are of lower intensity relative to those experienced in the other environments of the turret (2) or the barrel system (4).
- The turret (2) according to claim 1, characterized in that the dimensions of the protective tube (3) and the different component elements (6, 7, 8, 9) of the interface system (1) can vary based on the nature of the inserted aiming system (10), but must respectively be comprised within a certain range defined by minimum and maximum values.
- A use of a turret (2) according to claim 1, mounted on an armored vehicle and provided with a rigid and interchangeable interface system (1) to attach a piece of functional equipment (10) to the turret (2), which is mounted on a protective tube (3) connected to the liner of the barrel system (4) of the turret (2), the movement of the barrel system (4) being either vertical or horizontal, or both at the same time, and being done in four specific scenarios, respectively: static vehicle and turret, vehicle stopped and turret rotating, vehicle moving and turret stationary, and moving vehicle and turret.
