Abstract

The dishwasher is in particular a commercial dishwasher, with a washroom (2), with a hood (3) to close the washroom (2) from above and arranged in the washroom spraying means (10a, 10b, 10c). Further, according to the claims, the spraying means are arranged so as to be able to clean the upper (first) crockery basket and the (second) crockery basket arranged thereunder in a "lower position".

This solution allows two baskets to be cleaned at the same time, increasing the capacity of the device without the device taking up much more space. The loading of the dishwasher, however, remains easy for the user.

By the first crockery basket is transported from the receiving position up, the volume above the receiving position can be used. There is usually space available, in contrast to the area below the receiving position, where the space should preferably be available for the wash lye tank and / or other equipment components.

Preferably, the first crockery basket with the lifting mechanism can be moved vertically upwards. Under a movement "vertically upwards" is in particular to understand a movement which occupies an angle of not more than 20 °, in particular of not more than 10 °, when the device is mounted to the vertical as intended.

The lifting mechanism advantageously has a drive to raise and / or lower the first dish rack. This may be e.g. to act a motor or hydraulic drive. This drive further simplifies the operation of the device for the user.

The mentioned "lower position" may coincide with the mentioned "receiving position". However, it is also conceivable that the second dish rack is moved from the receiving position to the lower position before performing the cleaning operation, e.g. something is lowered.

For good cleaning of the items to be cleaned, the sprays advantageously comprise upper sprays above the upper position, middle sprays disposable between the upper and lower positions, and lower sprays below the lower position.

In this case, in a first variant, the middle spraying means between a position below the receiving position and a position above the receiving position but below the upper position movable, preferably automatically moved. In this way, the middle spray can be brought into a position between the two baskets.

In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the middle spraying means are connected to the dish rack carrier in such a way that they follow its movements. In this way, the movements of the dish rack and the middle spraying means can be performed together, e.g. with a common drive.

In a second variant, the middle spraying means may be arranged at a fixed height between the upper and the lower position. In this case they are designed so that the first dish rack can be passed with the dish rack on its way to the upper position of the middle spraying means. In particular, in this variant, the middle spraying means may be arranged around a passage space through which the first crockery basket is passed.

The hood advantageously has a first, upper part and a second, lower part. The first part is arranged at a fixed height, and the second part is height adjustable. By lowering the second part of the washroom can be closed, in such a way that the first part forms the upper end of the washroom and the second part forms part of the lateral end of the washroom. This two-part design of the hood has the advantage that the height of the device can be kept relatively low.

In a further preferred embodiment, a guide is arranged on the back of the dishwasher, along which the dish rack is guided vertically movable. The back side is to be understood as being the device side opposite the user when the device is installed as intended. With this arrangement, the mentioned guide does not hinder the user in his work.

The dishwasher according to Fig. 1-3 has a lower equipment compartment 1. In addition, a washroom 2 and a hood 3 are arranged.

In the present embodiment, the hood 3 is connected via a rear wall 4 of the device to the equipment compartment 1.

The hood 3 is designed in two parts and has an upper part 5 and a lower part 6. The upper part 5 is held on the rear wall 4 at a fixed height. The lower part 6 is opposite the upper part 5 height adjustable. By lowering the lower part 6 of the washroom 2 can be closed, as in Fig. 3 shown. In this case, the upper part 5 forms the upper end of the washroom 2 and delimits this upwards and at the upper end also from the side. The lower part 6 forms part of the lateral end of the washroom 2, at its lower end.

In the embodiment shown, the lower part 6 forms in the closed state respectively the lower end of the side walls of the washroom 2, while the back of the washroom 2 is formed by the rear wall 4.

When the hood 3 is open, baskets can be laterally inserted into and removed from the apparatus. The term "lateral" is understood to mean that it is a substantially horizontal feed or removal. It can e.g. in directions forward, i. perpendicular to the rear wall 4, and / or to one or both sides, i. parallel to the rear wall 4, take place.

In the washing room 2, upper spraying means 10a, middle spraying means 10b and lower spraying means 10c are arranged. In Fig. 1-3 These are shown as ever a rotatable spray arm. Next, a lifting mechanism is arranged in the washroom 2, which, inter alia, has a dish rack 12, which is arranged vertically movable on a guide 14 on the rear wall 4 of the dishwasher. The middle spraying means 10b are mechanically connected to the dish rack carrier 12 and can be moved together with it along the guide 14.

In the accommodating position 22, the dish rack 20a is approximately at the same height as when it is standing on the worktop 25 adjacent to the dishwasher, so that the transfer of the dish basket 20a from the worktop 25 to the receiving position 22 is as easy as possible for the user.

Next are now the upper spray 10a above the first dish rack 20a, the middle spray 10b between the two baskets 20a, 20b and the lower spray 10c below the second dish rack 20b.

In this configuration, both baskets can now be cleaned at the same time.

After completion of the cleaning of the lower part 6 of the hood 3 is raised again to open the washroom 2. Then, first, the second dish rack 20b horizontally removed from the receiving position 22. Then, the dish rack 12 is lowered, so that the first dish rack 20a enters the receiving position 22, from where it can also be removed from the washroom 2.

First concrete execution:

A first concrete embodiment of a dishwasher is in Fig. 4-6 shown. This design corresponds essentially to that Fig. 1-3 , so that in the following only the differences will be discussed.

Furthermore, a second coupling connection 31 is arranged at a fixed height on the dishwasher. The diameters of the pipe sections as well as their mutual position are chosen so that they are coupled together when the central spray 10b reach their operating position.

Next is in Fig. 4-6 it can be seen that all spraying means 10a-10c each comprise two spray arms, one for the final rinse operation and one for the actual washing process.

Here, the middle spraying means 10b are arranged at a fixed height between the upper position 26 and the lower position 28 of the baskets.

In the embodiment shown, the spraying means are arranged as nozzle openings (not shown) along a pipe 40 around a passage space 42 through which the first crockery basket can pass on its way to the upper position 26.

The tube 40 extends in the in Fig. 8 shown embodiment in a horizontal plane, and preferably extends from the rear wall 4 of the dishwasher ago one of the side walls along the front, then the front wall along and then the other side wall along back against.

In the embodiment shown, the middle spraying means 10b are designed as nozzle openings 50 along a horizontally extending tube 51. The tube is horizontally movable in a direction 52 in the direction perpendicular to its longitudinal direction. The tube 51 may e.g. be coupled via a flexible hose to the water supply.

To raise the first dish rack up to the upper position 26, the tube 51 is moved to the edge of the appliance so that it does not hinder the movement of the dish rack. To perform a cleaning, the tube 51 can be moved horizontally to spray water on the baskets in the upper position 26 and the lower position 28.

More generally, the middle spraying means 10b can be brought to a forward position in which they do not hinder the movement of the first crockery basket between the upper and lower positions 26, 28, and further the central spraying means can be moved from the passage position to a cleaning position between the upper and the lower position 26, 28 are moved.

Preferably, the middle spraying means 10b can be reciprocated in the horizontal direction in a translatory manner (ie without rotation).

The movement of the middle spray is preferably carried out by motor or hydraulics.

Remarks:

The dishwasher can also be operated with only a single dish rack. For this purpose, the upper or lower position 26 or 28 remains empty, preferably the upper position 26.
