Definitions
- the invention relates to a brush cap according to claims 1 and 8.
- the generic brush caps are intended in particular for make-up or paint or artist brushes and have a first open end for inserting a brush or for slipping over the brush in a brush insertion direction P and a second open end opposite the first open end, the second open end, when the brush cap is used as intended, comes into contact with the brush shaft after inserting the brush or after putting the brush cap over the brush and engages around it in a clamping manner.
- the invention also relates to a system comprising a brush cap and an additional part functionally matched to the brush cap.
- Brush caps are put over the hair bundle of a brush, isolate the hair bundle of the brush from the environment and thus protect the hair bundle itself from external contamination on the one hand and the environment, such as the inside of a toilet bag, from contamination from the brush as a result of make-up remaining on the hair bundle on the other. up or paint residues.
- Such brush caps are therefore used in particular as protective brush caps.
- Brush caps can also have the function of enclosing the hair bundle tightly and thus keeping it in shape and protecting it from external mechanical influences.
- Protective caps for make-up brushes are basically known from the prior art.
- a protective cap for make-up brushes with a multi-part protective cap against a spring-loaded hinge or a one-piece protective cap can be widened like a mouth against its own material elasticity in order to grip the hair bundle of the brush.
- German patent specification DE 42 15 896 C1 discloses a protective brush cover which can be slipped over a brush and can be removed again for reuse and which is able to protectively enclose the tuft of brush hair of a brush inserted into the protective cover.
- a similar solution shows the US 6 199 694 B1 .
- the U.S. 6,840,557 B1 shows a self-supporting, stand-like filling for brush heads or the like.
- One disadvantage of the aforementioned protective brush caps is that it is difficult or impossible to insert several brushes simultaneously into one and the same cap. In particular, a secure hold of several brushes in one and the same protective cap is not easily guaranteed. Also, due to its construction, such a brush cap does not support the user in handling the brush by taking on other helpful functions. Due to the necessary mouth-like widening of the protective brush cap, it is difficult, in particular with bushy brush shapes, to ensure that the hair bundle is completely enclosed and that parts of the hair bundle do not jam in the seam.
- the utility model KR 20150001396 U discloses a protective brush cap for a cosmetic brush, it being possible for an additional closure cover to be provided with which the first free open end of the brush cap can be closed.
- the brush protection cap is precisely adapted to the shape and fullness of the individual brush or its hair bundle, so that the brush protection cap keeps the hair bundle in shape and the inner circumference of the end of the brush protection cap that comes into contact with the ferrule fits tightly against the outer circumference of the ferrule .
- a use of such a protective cap for a differently shaped brush or even for several brushes at the same time is out of the question due to the precise coordination of the protective cap and the brush.
- a brush protection cap similar to the two aforementioned publications, but with which there are similar disadvantages, is also disclosed in the Chinese utility model or CN 204306285 U .
- the US 2007/0056130 A1 and the US2004 / 0250840 A1 each describe a stocking-like flexible cover for a brush, formed by a net.
- a further object of the invention is to create a system comprising a brush cap and a supplementary part which further simplifies the handling of the brush cap or the brush provided with it.
- the effective opening cross-section of the passage opening formed by the second end adapts to the diameter or the number of brush shafts protruding through the second end if these have previously been inserted into the brush cap in a brush insertion direction with the end of the brush handle leading over the first open end of the brush cap are, or - in other words - when the brush cap in the direction of the brush insertion corresponding direction has been slipped over the brush or brushes.
- the radial expandability of the second end is realized in that a second section of the brush cap forming the second end has a plurality of radially flexible expansion members which are distributed around the circumference of the brush cap.
- Such spreading members bend outwards when a load is applied from the inside through the introduction of a brush shaft and then lie against the brush shaft or a plurality of brush shafts without play - partly due to their inherent material elasticity. At least three such spreading members are preferably provided.
- the second section of the brush cap forming the second open end can also be formed as the second material section of the brush cap from an inherently elastic second material, such as an elastomer, while the first section forming the first open end of the brush cap is formed from a first material section is formed from a first material different from the second material.
- the second material section can also be formed by a net-like elastic structure having a large number of meshes, which is able to adapt to the outer dimensions of an inserted brush shaft (or a plurality thereof) by deforming the material and / or the meshes.
- the second section can - in particular if it is made of an elastic material - have a closed surface and be designed like a hose, it being able to taper in a direction from the first end to the second end.
- the second section if it is made of an injection-moldable material, can be injection-molded onto the first section in a multi-component injection molding process.
- the entire protective brush cap is made of the material from which the second end is made.
- the spreading members are preferably formed by finger-like spreading members (spreading fingers) which, starting from a base, extend axially away from the first end of the brush cap and with a free end opposite the base, the second open end of the brush cap and the passage opening for the brush shafts define.
- the base of the finger-like spreading members forms the area of the transition from a first undivided section of the brush cap into the respective spreading member.
- the spreading members in particular the spreading fingers, also extend radially inward from the base or are also curved radially inward starting from the base, so that the effective inner diameter of the brush cap over the length of the finger-like spreading members in the area of the second section in Decreasing towards the second end.
- the finger-like spreading members thus become narrower with increasing distance from the spreading member base or taper to a point towards the free end of the spreading fingers. This structurally enables the effective diameter of the brush cap to taper in the brush insertion direction, that is to say in a direction from the first, open end to the second end of the brush cap.
- the spreading members are an integral part of the brush cap, in particular one made of one material.
- an elastic return means acting in the second section over the circumference of the brush cap is provided, which is able to adjust the spreading members against a brush shaft when a brush is inserted into the brush cap.
- the expansion members are thus coupled to one another via an elastic return means.
- a restoring force can be made available beyond the elastic restoring force inherent in the material of the brush cap or the expansion members which enables a significantly higher clamping force and a more effective clasping of one or more brush shafts introduced into the brush cap.
- the material of the protective brush cap itself less elastic materials and / or smaller wall thicknesses can be used, which can reduce the use of material and make it cheaper.
- an expansion member is connected to the adjacent expansion members via an elastic restoring means.
- the restoring means it is particularly advisable here for the restoring means to be provided in the form of a plurality of short elastic band sections which are designed in sections and which act between adjacent spreading members.
- Such an elastic band section acting between two, in particular, finger-like spreading members can be injection-molded onto the mutually adjacent spreading members (or the spreading members are injection-molded onto such an elastic band) as part of a multi-component injection molding process.
- an in particular self-contained, one-piece elastic return means is placed around the expansion members.
- one or more elevations for example in the form of material beads, can be provided on the spreading members, which form a receiving groove or a retaining projection for a restoring means placed around the spreading members over the circumference formed by the spreading members in the region of the second section.
- the return means can be a simple rubber band, an O-ring or the like.
- additional stiffeners that increase the moment of resistance of the expansion members against a radial expansion of the second end can be provided on the expansion members, in particular on their outwardly facing surfaces.
- Such stiffeners can in particular from beads or from radial inwardly or outwardly facing material areas are formed, which extend from in the axial direction along the expansion members.
- the expansion members have a T-shaped cross section, with the central web facing inwards or outwards. In such a case, the central web forms a stiffening rib. The aim of such a measure is to increase the rigidity of the spreading members and thus their tendency to return and to prevent or at least delay wear out.
- the brush cap can have a closure cover with which the first, open end of the brush cap can be closed after the intended insertion of the brush.
- the closure cover can be arranged on the brush cap via a hinge, in particular a film hinge, or it can be provided as a separate supplementary part which can be placed on the brush cap at the first end, in particular in a latching manner.
- the brush cap can be assigned a supplementary part, preferably separate from the brush cap, which acts as a standing aid, in which the brush cap can be set upright with the second end pointing downwards, which enables a brush to be placed upright in the brush cap while working with the brush.
- the standing aid can be cylindrical, in particular in the form of a cylinder open on one side, and preferably has an inner diameter that corresponds to the outer diameter of the brush cap in a support area, which is preferably in the area of the expansion members, in particular in the area of the base of the expansion members, is adapted in such a way that the brush cap is able to be supported via the support area on the supplementary part, in particular on its open end.
- the support area on the brush cap is formed by one or more material elevations, preferably extending over the circumference of the brush cap, which form the effective outer dimension Extend the brush cap in the support area.
- the supplementary part and / or the support area are of course adapted accordingly to this cross-sectional shape of the brush cap.
- the supplementary part can also serve as a closure cover that can be placed on the first open end of the brush cap.
- the supplementary part is preferably a tube-shaped body that is only open on one side (with a round, ellipsoidal, rectangular, ... cross section) and the non-open side of the supplementary part closes the first end of the brush cap after it has been placed on the brush cap as intended.
- the supplementary part does not only serve as a standing aid when the brush protection cap is inserted with the second, expandable end in advance into the open end of the standing aid (the brush rests standing in the brush protection cap with the hair bundle pointing upwards) , but also when the brush is inserted with the first end leading into the standing aid, which then functions as a protective cap, because the standing aid can then serve as a standing aid in the opposite orientation, with the brush or brushes then hanging down in the brush cap with the hair bundle and in which the supplementary part that functions both as a standing aid and as a closure cover is added.
- the brush cap with a corresponding design in such a way that its first end spans an effective standing surface, can also be set up on a surface without a supplementary part serving as a standing aid with a brush and a bundle of hair hanging down.
- openings or notches are provided on the closure cover or the standing aid and / or on the brush cap itself, which prevent moisture from draining from the closure cover or the
- the standing aid and / or the brush cap make it easier if it stands with the first end facing down on a flat surface or hangs from a holder.
- the brush is with the hair bundle hanging down in the brush cap, which makes it easier for moisture to drip off from the hair bundle and in particular prevents moisture from penetrating the ferrule or gluing the brush.
- Such openings or notches, especially in the cover can also be omitted, for example if it is intended that the cover be used as a water container for the brush, e.g. in watercolor painting, should be used.
- the brush cap is preferably an injection-molded part made of plastic, with any elastic restoring means acting on the expansion members, in particular in the multi-component injection molding process, being able to be connected to the expansion members, unless it is a separate component that is pulled onto the brush cap in the second section can.
- radially expandable is meant in particular in the sense of “from the inside to the outside” and is not limited to round basic cross-sectional shapes, in particular not to round basic cross-sectional shapes in the area of the second end. If, for example, the brush cap has an angular basic cross-section in the area of the second end, for example because it should be better adapted to brush shafts with a non-round cross-section, its expandability "from the inside to the outside” should also be understood as “radial” expandability.
- Figure 1 Figure 2 and Figure 3 the combination of a brush cap 1 with an additional part 2 that can be used as a standing aid and / or a closure cap 14 is shown.
- the brush cap 1 is formed in a first section A by a cylindrical, circumferentially closed base body which - as in FIG Figure 1 and Figure 3 can be seen - an insertion opening 5 forms at a first, open end 3.
- a second end 4 of the brush cap 1 Opposite the open first end 3 is a second end 4 of the brush cap 1, with a second, circumferentially perforated and tapering section B of the brush cap coming from the direction of the first end 3 to the first cylindrical and circumferentially closed section A of the brush cap 1 1, the end of which finally forms the second end 4 of the brush cap 1 with a passage opening 6 through which, when the brush cap 1 is used as intended, a brush shaft or more brush shafts are pushed in the brush insertion direction P or through which the brush cap 1 corresponds to a brush shaft in the Brush insertion direction P is slipped over the corresponding direction.
- the brush insertion direction P is parallel to an imaginary connecting line between the centroid of the insertion opening 5 at the first end 3 and the centroid of the passage opening 6 at the second end 4 or even coincides with this, in particular if the brush cap 1 as shown in the figures as an axially or a rotationally symmetrical component is formed.
- the outer wall area of the brush cap 1 is perforated to form finger-like expansion members 7.
- These spreading members 7, designed as spreading fingers, are formed by incisions 8, which are preferably axially aligned and run towards the second end 4.
- the base 9 of the spreading fingers forms the transition from the first section A to the second section B of the brush cap 1.
- the latter is designed in a manner that enables the passage opening 6 to be radially expanded.
- the second end 4 or the effective width of the passage opening 6 is thus able to adapt flexibly to the circumference of a brush shaft or a plurality of brush shafts passed through the passage opening 6 and to embrace it.
- the effective dimension of the support area 10 or the material elevation forming it on the one hand and the relevant effective dimension of the open end of the supplementary part 2 are coordinated in such a way that the brush cap 1 with the second section B of the brush cap 1 can dive into the supplementary part 2 as far as the support area 10, so that the latter acts as a standing aid.
- the brush introduced from above with the brush shaft into the brush cap 1 can thus be easily and especially temporarily inserted into the brush cap 1 in a standing position and thus readily accessible at any time, and it can also be easily removed again.
- the supplementary part 2 can also serve as a closure cap 14 with appropriate coordination of the relevant dimensions of the brush cap 1 and the supplementary part 2.
- the supplementary part 2 is slipped over the first, open end 3 of the brush cap 1 and thus serves as a closure cover for the brush cap 1. In this way, the hair bundle of the brush cap 1 can be isolated from the environment.
- openings 11 are provided in the closed end of the supplementary part. These openings 11, in interaction with the incisions 8, enable good ventilation of the space enclosed by the supplementary part 2 and brush cap 1 and the hair bundle of the brush, and thus good drying of a damp bundle of hair that has been picked up. On the other hand, such openings allow the drainage of moisture which may drip down from the hair bundle after washing.
- Figure 4 shows a compared to that in Figures 1 to 3 embodiment shown simplified embodiment of the invention.
- the spreading members 7, which are designed as spreading fingers are not provided with elevations 12, which serve as a support area 10 or retaining projection, and no supplementary part 2 serving as a standing aid or closing cover is provided.
- Such a brush cap 1 is a simple embodiment which nevertheless implements the essential advantages of the invention offers itself as a particularly inexpensive and easy to manufacture variant.
- the embodiment shown is provided on the outside of the spreading fingers 12, which form a circumferential receiving groove in the second section B of the brush cap 1, by means of which an elastic band placed around the spreading members 7 is held in position, which serves as a return means 13.
- This elastic band preferably made of an elastomer or similar material, which in the simplest case is a rubber band or an O-ring, increases the clamping force that can be achieved via the spreading fingers, which is generated after a brush shaft has been inserted into the passage opening 6 at the second end 4 of the brush cap 1 is exerted on the brush shaft as a result of the radial expansion of the brush cap 1 at this end 4, so that one or more brushes can be held securely and the brush cap 1 does not slip with respect to the brushes.
- the receiving groove formed by the elevations 12 fulfills the same function as that in the Figures 1 to 3 Retaining projection formed by the elevations 12, the retaining projection as a retaining means acting only in one direction in contrast to a receiving groove due to the widening circumference of the brush cap 1 in the direction of the first end 3.
- FIG. 6 shows that elastic band sections can also be provided as elastic restoring means 13, each of which extends from one spreading finger to an adjacent spreading finger over the incision 8 located between these spreading fingers.
- the effect of such an elastic return band extending in sections between adjacent spreading fingers is basically that in Figure 5
- the variant shown is equivalent, but has the advantage that the individual sections are firmly connected to the splay fingers and are therefore not lost can go.
- such an elastic return means 13 can be attached to the brush cap 1 automatically within the production process in the same tool, in particular without a tool change, and can be firmly connected to the material of the remaining brush cap 1 .
- FIG 7 finally shows - in a similarly simple design as Figure 4 -
- a brush cap 1 by means of which it should be made clear that the brush cap 1 can also be assigned a closure cap 14, which can also be attached to the brush cap 1 in a pivotable manner (for example via a film hinge or other suitable measures).
- openings 11 are provided which, even when the closure cap 14 is closed, promote ventilation and thus drying of a brush received in the brush cap 1.
- Such openings can of course also be provided - alternatively or additionally - in the closure cap 14.
- FIG. 2 shows a further embodiment of the brush cap 1 in which additional stiffeners in the form of reinforcing ribs 15 are provided on the outwardly facing side of the spreading members 7 in the longitudinal direction of the spreading members 7.
- additional stiffeners in the form of reinforcing ribs 15 are provided on the outwardly facing side of the spreading members 7 in the longitudinal direction of the spreading members 7.
- These can also - unlike the in Figure 8 shown embodiment - extend on the outside over the base 9 of the expansion members 7 in the direction of the first end 3 of the brush cap 1.
- the spreading members 7 are at least partially given a T-shaped basic cross-section with increased rigidity and increased tendency to reset.
- the individual detailed features shown in the figures are of course not limited to the specific embodiment variant shown in the respective figure, but can - as far as technically feasible and sensible - be easily transferred to the embodiment variants shown in other figures.
- the in Figure 6 shown variant of a elastic restoring means 13 of course in the in the Figures 1 to 3 The embodiment variant shown is used, so that the elevations 12 serving as a retaining projection could be omitted there.
- the elevations 12 in the embodiment according to FIG Figure 5 formed, acting in both directions receiving groove in the Figures 1 to 3 Find the embodiment shown use.
- the support area 10 shown can of course also be used in the case of the in Figures 4 to 7
- the embodiments shown are used, in particular together with a suitable supplementary part 2.
- a second material section 17 of the brush cap 1 forming the second open end 4 can be formed from an inherently elastic second material, such as an elastomer, while the first material section 16 forming the first open end 3 of the brush cap 1 can be formed from a first material which is different from the second material is formed.
- the second material section 17 can thus adapt to the external dimensions of an inserted brush shaft (or a plurality thereof) by deforming the material and can be frictionally fitted against the outside of the brush shaft (or the brush shafts).
- the second section B shows how Figure 9 can be seen, a closed surface and is hose-like, whereby it extends in one direction seen from the first end 3 to the second end 4 tapers.
- the second open end preferably forms the point with the smallest passage cross section of the brush cap 1.

One disadvantage of the aforementioned protective brush caps is that it is difficult or impossible to insert several brushes simultaneously into one and the same cap.
On the basis of this prior art, it is an object of the invention to create a brush cap for cosmetic brushes which enables a more flexible application also for a plurality of brushes, the use of which is not restricted to a specific brush shape and whose range of application is expanded as a result of their design, in particular, is able to support the user when working with the brush beyond the pure protective cap function. A further object of the invention is to create a system comprising a brush cap and a supplementary part which further simplifies the handling of the brush cap or the brush provided with it.
The objects are achieved according to the invention with regard to the brush cap by means of a protective brush cap according to
The fact that the second end of the brush cap can be expanded radially, in particular starting from a central axis and can be expanded from the inside to the outside regardless of the basic cross-section of the brush cap, ensures that one and the same brush cap can be used with brush shafts of different thicknesses or for several brushes at the same time can come. The effective opening cross-section of the passage opening formed by the second end adapts to the diameter or the number of brush shafts protruding through the second end if these have previously been inserted into the brush cap in a brush insertion direction with the end of the brush handle leading over the first open end of the brush cap are, or - in other words - when the brush cap in the direction of the brush insertion corresponding direction has been slipped over the brush or brushes.
According to the invention, the radial expandability of the second end is realized in that a second section of the brush cap forming the second end has a plurality of radially flexible expansion members which are distributed around the circumference of the brush cap. Such spreading members bend outwards when a load is applied from the inside through the introduction of a brush shaft and then lie against the brush shaft or a plurality of brush shafts without play - partly due to their inherent material elasticity. At least three such spreading members are preferably provided.
As an alternative to such spreading members, the second section of the brush cap forming the second open end can also be formed as the second material section of the brush cap from an inherently elastic second material, such as an elastomer, while the first section forming the first open end of the brush cap is formed from a first material section is formed from a first material different from the second material. The second material section can also be formed by a net-like elastic structure having a large number of meshes, which is able to adapt to the outer dimensions of an inserted brush shaft (or a plurality thereof) by deforming the material and / or the meshes.
The second section can - in particular if it is made of an elastic material - have a closed surface and be designed like a hose, it being able to taper in a direction from the first end to the second end. The second section, if it is made of an injection-moldable material, can be injection-molded onto the first section in a multi-component injection molding process. However, it can also be provided that the entire protective brush cap is made of the material from which the second end is made.
However, the spreading members are preferably formed by finger-like spreading members (spreading fingers) which, starting from a base, extend axially away from the first end of the brush cap and with a free end opposite the base, the second open end of the brush cap and the passage opening for the brush shafts define. The base of the finger-like spreading members forms the area of the transition from a first undivided section of the brush cap into the respective spreading member.
According to the invention, the spreading members, in particular the spreading fingers, also extend radially inward from the base or are also curved radially inward starting from the base, so that the effective inner diameter of the brush cap over the length of the finger-like spreading members in the area of the second section in Decreasing towards the second end. The finger-like spreading members thus become narrower with increasing distance from the spreading member base or taper to a point towards the free end of the spreading fingers. This structurally enables the effective diameter of the brush cap to taper in the brush insertion direction, that is to say in a direction from the first, open end to the second end of the brush cap.
In particular, it is provided that the spreading members are an integral part of the brush cap, in particular one made of one material.
Furthermore, it can advantageously be provided that an elastic return means acting in the second section over the circumference of the brush cap is provided, which is able to adjust the spreading members against a brush shaft when a brush is inserted into the brush cap. The expansion members are thus coupled to one another via an elastic return means. As a result, a restoring force can be made available beyond the elastic restoring force inherent in the material of the brush cap or the expansion members which enables a significantly higher clamping force and a more effective clasping of one or more brush shafts introduced into the brush cap. With the material of the protective brush cap itself, less elastic materials and / or smaller wall thicknesses can be used, which can reduce the use of material and make it cheaper.
For this purpose, it can be provided that an expansion member is connected to the adjacent expansion members via an elastic restoring means. It is particularly advisable here for the restoring means to be provided in the form of a plurality of short elastic band sections which are designed in sections and which act between adjacent spreading members. Such an elastic band section acting between two, in particular, finger-like spreading members can be injection-molded onto the mutually adjacent spreading members (or the spreading members are injection-molded onto such an elastic band) as part of a multi-component injection molding process.
It can also be provided that an in particular self-contained, one-piece elastic return means is placed around the expansion members. For this purpose, one or more elevations, for example in the form of material beads, can be provided on the spreading members, which form a receiving groove or a retaining projection for a restoring means placed around the spreading members over the circumference formed by the spreading members in the region of the second section. In this case, the return means can be a simple rubber band, an O-ring or the like.
As an alternative or in addition to the elastic restoring means, additional stiffeners that increase the moment of resistance of the expansion members against a radial expansion of the second end can be provided on the expansion members, in particular on their outwardly facing surfaces. Such stiffeners can in particular from beads or from radial inwardly or outwardly facing material areas are formed, which extend from in the axial direction along the expansion members. In an advantageous embodiment, the expansion members have a T-shaped cross section, with the central web facing inwards or outwards. In such a case, the central web forms a stiffening rib. The aim of such a measure is to increase the rigidity of the spreading members and thus their tendency to return and to prevent or at least delay wear out.
In order to avoid the penetration of contaminants into the insertion opening defining the first open end of the brush cap, the brush cap can have a closure cover with which the first, open end of the brush cap can be closed after the intended insertion of the brush. The closure cover can be arranged on the brush cap via a hinge, in particular a film hinge, or it can be provided as a separate supplementary part which can be placed on the brush cap at the first end, in particular in a latching manner.
Furthermore, the brush cap can be assigned a supplementary part, preferably separate from the brush cap, which acts as a standing aid, in which the brush cap can be set upright with the second end pointing downwards, which enables a brush to be placed upright in the brush cap while working with the brush. The standing aid can be cylindrical, in particular in the form of a cylinder open on one side, and preferably has an inner diameter that corresponds to the outer diameter of the brush cap in a support area, which is preferably in the area of the expansion members, in particular in the area of the base of the expansion members, is adapted in such a way that the brush cap is able to be supported via the support area on the supplementary part, in particular on its open end. This ensures that the brush cap is largely safe from tipping over in the standing aid. The support area on the brush cap is formed by one or more material elevations, preferably extending over the circumference of the brush cap, which form the effective outer dimension Extend the brush cap in the support area. In the event that the brush cap has a non-round cross-sectional shape, for example an elliptical or rectangular cross-sectional shape, the supplementary part and / or the support area are of course adapted accordingly to this cross-sectional shape of the brush cap.
If its diameter (or the dimension of the other cross-sectional shape) is correspondingly adapted to the diameter (or the dimension of the other cross-sectional shape) of the brush cap, the supplementary part can also serve as a closure cover that can be placed on the first open end of the brush cap. For this purpose, the supplementary part is preferably a tube-shaped body that is only open on one side (with a round, ellipsoidal, rectangular, ... cross section) and the non-open side of the supplementary part closes the first end of the brush cap after it has been placed on the brush cap as intended.
Another advantage of this embodiment is that the supplementary part does not only serve as a standing aid when the brush protection cap is inserted with the second, expandable end in advance into the open end of the standing aid (the brush rests standing in the brush protection cap with the hair bundle pointing upwards) , but also when the brush is inserted with the first end leading into the standing aid, which then functions as a protective cap, because the standing aid can then serve as a standing aid in the opposite orientation, with the brush or brushes then hanging down in the brush cap with the hair bundle and in which the supplementary part that functions both as a standing aid and as a closure cover is added. It should be noted, however, that the brush cap, with a corresponding design in such a way that its first end spans an effective standing surface, can also be set up on a surface without a supplementary part serving as a standing aid with a brush and a bundle of hair hanging down.
In order to allow moisture to drain off when a brush is inserted into the brush cap after washing, openings or notches are provided on the closure cover or the standing aid and / or on the brush cap itself, which prevent moisture from draining from the closure cover or the The standing aid and / or the brush cap make it easier if it stands with the first end facing down on a flat surface or hangs from a holder. In such a case, the brush is with the hair bundle hanging down in the brush cap, which makes it easier for moisture to drip off from the hair bundle and in particular prevents moisture from penetrating the ferrule or gluing the brush. Such openings or notches, especially in the cover, can also be omitted, for example if it is intended that the cover be used as a water container for the brush, e.g. in watercolor painting, should be used.
The brush cap is preferably an injection-molded part made of plastic, with any elastic restoring means acting on the expansion members, in particular in the multi-component injection molding process, being able to be connected to the expansion members, unless it is a separate component that is pulled onto the brush cap in the second section can.
In connection with the term "radially expandable" it should be noted that "radial" is meant in particular in the sense of "from the inside to the outside" and is not limited to round basic cross-sectional shapes, in particular not to round basic cross-sectional shapes in the area of the second end. If, for example, the brush cap has an angular basic cross-section in the area of the second end, for example because it should be better adapted to brush shafts with a non-round cross-section, its expandability "from the inside to the outside" should also be understood as "radial" expandability.
