Definitions
- the invention relates to a coin sorting machine for sorting coins, with a housing, an openable housing cover and with a coin conveying device covered by the housing cover at least in a closed position, the coin conveying device having at least one coin transport path and at least one coin conveyor movable relative to the coin transport path for conveying coins along the coin transport path and wherein the housing cover is coupled to the at least one coin conveyor and when the housing cover is in an open position the at least one coin transport path is also open and accessible from outside the housing, and wherein the coin sorting machine has at least one positioning device for positioning the at least one coin conveyor relative to the at least one coin transport path having.
- a device is from JP 2002 260046 A known.
- Coin sorting machines of the aforementioned type are known in the prior art.
- the coin sorting machines have housings which consist of a stationary part and a housing cover.
- the coin conveying device ie the coin transport path and the coin conveyor.
- the housing cover In the closed state, ie in the closed position of the housing cover, at least the coin conveying device, ie the coin transport path and the coin conveyor, are covered by the housing cover.
- This is important, on the one hand, to minimize the noise generated during coin transport and, on the other hand, to rule out injuries to an operator.
- the housing cover In the event of a system malfunction, for example caused by a jammed coin on the coin transport path or by a foreign object, it may be necessary to gain access to the coin transport path.
- the housing cover must first be removed or opened.
- the at least one coin conveyor must then be removed from the at least one coin transport path to such an extent that access to the coin transport path is possible. It is therefore necessary for a number of actions to be carried out before an operator gains
- the object according to the invention is achieved in the coin sorting machine according to claim 1 in that at least one delay element is arranged between the housing cover and the at least one coin conveyor and that the at least one positioning device is designed to assume an operating position in which the coin conveyor is used to transport coins on the Coin transport path is aligned to assume a release position in which the coin conveyor is released for movement away from the coin transport path, and to assume a rest position in which the coin conveyor is at least partially spaced further from the coin transport path than in the operating position.
- the at least one coin transport path is made accessible from the outside by moving the housing cover into the open position.
- the solution according to the invention thus allows rapid access to the at least one coin transport path.
- the at least one coin transport path can be made accessible automatically when the housing cover is brought into the open position or is held in the open position.
- the delay element can be used to lift the at least one coin conveyor only when the housing cover has covered a predetermined portion of the distance when moving into the open position. This can prevent a movement of the at least one coin conveyor from being triggered when the housing cover moves only slightly.
- the at least one delay element can be formed, for example, by an elastic tension element.
- the delay element can be formed by mechanical elements which are designed to transmit a train in a delayed manner.
- the positioning device can contribute to optimally positioning the at least one coin conveyor for conveying the coins along the coin transport path.
- the at least one positioning device can be used in particular to move the at least one coin conveyor back into an operating position when the housing cover is arranged in the closed position, for example after the housing cover has been opened.
- the positioning device adjusts the coin conveyor so that coins can be conveyed on the transport path.
- the positioning device can release the coin conveyor so that it can be moved away from the coin transport path when the housing cover is opened.
- the positioning device can position the coin conveyor in such a way that a reduced contact pressure is generated in the direction of the coin transport path. If the coin conveyor has a brush, for example, the bristles of the brush can be moved away from the coin transport path or can only be arranged lying loosely on it in order to relieve the brush and thereby increase its service life.
- the rest position can also be assumed when the housing cover is arranged in the closed position.
- the idle position can, for example, be assumed automatically if the device is not used for a longer period of time.
- the housing cover and the at least one coin conveyor can be coupled to one another via a preferably elastic tension element.
- the coupling can be implemented in a particularly simple manner.
- a train on the housing cover to move it from the closed position to the open position can be passed on to the at least one coin conveyor by the tension element, so that the coin conveyor is lifted from the at least one coin transport path.
- the pulling element is also elastic, the coin conveyor can be lifted off the coin transport path in a particularly gentle manner.
- the housing cover and the at least one coin conveyor can be rotatably mounted at a common pivot point on a stationary part of the housing of the coin sorting machine.
- the housing cover and the at least one coin conveyor can have their own separate pivot points on the housing of the coin sorting machine.
- the at least one positioning device is preferably designed to generate a contact pressure of the coin conveyor in the direction of the at least one coin transport path. This can increase the reliability of coin transport. This applies in particular if the coin conveyor has a brush whose bristles can move coins along the coin transport path.
- the at least one positioning device can have at least one locking element for positively locking the coin conveyor in the at least one position.
- At least one positioning device can be designed as a cam control. At least the operating position and the release position can be assumed by the coin conveyor by means of the curve control. It is advantageous if the rest position can also be adjusted by the curve control.
- the at least one positioning device on the coin conveyor can be a worm with a track and on a relative to the coin transport path stationary part of the coin sorting machine having a pin engageable with the track.
- the pin can be rigidly connected to the fixed part of the housing or to the coin transport path.
- the worm can guide the pin in such a way that the positions mentioned above can be assumed.
- the positioning device can exert a previously defined contact pressure of the coin conveyor in the direction of the coin transport path. The amount of pressure can be adjusted by the relative position of the auger to the coin conveyor and the pin to the coin transport path.
- a thickness of a leg of the worm can be selected in the area of one end of the track for adjusting the contact pressure.
- the at least one positioning device can have at least one position sensor for detecting at least one position of the positioning device.
- the coin sorting machine can have at least one elastically deformable buffer element which is designed to space the worm from the pin at least in the release position.
- the buffer element also prevents the worm from hitting the spigot when the housing cover is closed and the coin conveyor is thereby lowered onto the coin transport path. On the one hand, this can protect the positioning device itself, but also other parts of the coin sorting machine from damage, in particular when the housing cover is closed.
- the coin sorting machine can have at least one locking system, preferably with electronic control, by means of which at least the housing cover can be locked in the closed position.
- the at least one locking system can be designed to control the at least one positioning device.
- the at least one locking system can be connected to the positioning device via a control line. If the at least one locking system is designed to control the at least one positioning device, for example unlocking the housing cover can simultaneously instruct the positioning device to assume the release position in order to move the coin conveyor away from the coin transport path when the housing cover is opened. Conversely, locking the housing cover in the closed position by the locking system can result in the positioning device assumes the operating position. A control of the locking system can also be used to move the positioning device into the rest position.
- the locking system is preferably electronically controllable, with the electronic control also being able to control the positioning device. For example, if the housing cover is to be opened, the locking of the housing cover can be released and at the same time the positioning device can assume the release position. The housing cover is preferably only unlocked when the positioning device has assumed the release position.
- An embodiment of a locking system can have two pairs of mutually complementary locking elements. To close the housing, the locking elements can be brought into engagement with the locking elements. In order to release the housing cover for opening, the locking elements can be detached from one another.
- the locking elements can be designed according to the principle of an electric door opener, so that at least one of the locking elements can be moved electrically in order to hold or release the respective complementary element.
- the electronic control can ensure that the housing cover can only be unlocked when the positioning device is in the release position.
- the electronic control can cause the positioning device to assume the operating position again and to exert a defined contact pressure of the coin conveyor or the brush on the coin transport path. Likewise, particularly when the coin sorting machine is not in use, the electronic control can cause the positioning device to go into the rest position.
- the housing cover In order to facilitate the opening or keeping the housing cover open in the open position, it can be connected to at least one holding element which is designed to hold the housing cover in the open position.
- the holding element can be designed, for example, as a gas pressure spring arranged between the housing cover and the rest of the housing.
- a coin sorting machine 1 is based on the Fig. 1a and 1b described.
- the housing cover 7 is in the closed position S and in Fig. 1b shown in the open position O.

- the coin sorting machine 1 according to the invention can also have multiple coin transport paths 19 and/or coin conveyors 21 .
- the brush 22 and the driver 25 are attached to the arm 27 .
- the arm 27 is pivoted at pivot points 29 .
- the pivot points 29 are arranged separately from the pivot points 11 of the housing cover 7 .
- the pivot points 11 and 29 can also coincide.
- the arm 27 of the coin conveyor 21 is coupled to the housing cover 7 via a pulling element 31 .
- the pulling element 31 is designed to forward a pull on the housing cover 7 to the arm 27 and thus to the coin conveyor 21 when the housing cover 7 is opened, so that when the housing cover 7 is lifted, the coin conveyor 21 is also lifted and is thus spaced apart from the coin transport path 19. - the worm 37 can be connected to a drive means of the positioning device 33 .
- the track 39 has an entry area 47 and a closed end 49 opposite the entry area 47 in the direction of rotation 43 .
- the pin 41 can penetrate into the track 39 in the entry area 47 . Movement of the pin relative to the worm 37 is possible up to the closed end 49, or the worm 37 can be rotated until the pin 41 prevents further rotation because the end 49 abuts the pin 41. in the in 2 In the view shown, this is the case for a clockwise rotation.
- the pin 41 is arranged in the area of the end 49 . This creates a positive fit between the pin 41 and the worm 37 at least in the vertical direction 51.
- the positive fit can prevent the coin conveyor 21, which is connected to the worm 37, from moving upwards, i.e. in the direction 51.
- the leg 55 of the worm 37 forms a locking member 42 of the positioning device 33.
- the positioning device 33 can exert a previously defined contact pressure of the coin conveyor 21 in the direction of the coin transport path 19 .
- the strength of the pressure can be adjusted by the relative position of the screw 37 to the coin conveyor 21 and the pin 41 to the coin transport path 19.

- the positioning device 33 according to the invention is in 3 shown in the release position F.
- the positioning device 33 is in 3 shown in the release position F.
- the pin 41 is released from the track 39 so that the worm 37 can be moved away from the pin 41 in the vertical direction 51 . This makes it possible to raise the arm 27 to make the coin transport path 19 accessible from the outside. If the positioning device 33 was previously in the operating position B, the release position F was reached in that the worm 37 and the disk 57 connected to it were rotated counterclockwise until the pin 41 is released.
- the coin sorting machine 1 preferably has a buffer element 83 (not yet shown here), through which the surface 63 of the worm 37 closest to the pin 41 in the direction of the axis 45 in the release position F is spaced apart from the pin 41 in the release position F.
- the buffer element 83 protects the coin sorting machine 1 from damage, since the mutually movable parts initially remain spaced apart by the buffer element 83 when the housing cover 7 is closed, until they are moved towards one another by the positioning device 33 when it is moved to the operating position B.
- a buffer element 83 is shown with reference to FIG figure 5 described.

- the two sensors 61 and 67 are preferably induction sensors.
- the disc 57 is preferably made of a ferromagnetic material so that the sensors 61 and 67 provide different values depending on whether they are covered by the disc 57 or not.
- the distance 73 between the pin 41 and the axis 45 is larger than in the operating position B and than in the release position F.
- the coin conveyor 21 is slightly lifted from the coin transport path 19 in the rest position R. In this way, elements of the coin conveyor 21, for example bristles 23 of a brush, can be relieved.
- a second window 75 is arranged in the disk 57 and in the worm 37 .
- the second sensor 67 is released from the second window 75 .
- the first sensor 61 is covered by the disk 57 and the worm 37 .
- the positioning device 33 can recognize the rest position R as a result.
- the coin sorting machine 1 is preferably equipped with a locking system (not shown).
- the locking system can lock at least the housing cover 7 in the closed position S on the stationary part 5 of the housing 4 .
- the locking system is preferably electronically controllable, with the positioning device 33 also being controllable by the electronic control (not shown). For example, if the housing cover 7 is to be opened, the locking of the housing cover can be released and at the same time the positioning device 33 can assume the release position F.
- the housing cover 7 is preferably only unlocked when the positioning device 33 has assumed the release position F.

- the electronic control can ensure that the unlocking of the housing cover 7 is only possible when the positioning device 33 is in the release position F.
- the electronic control can also cause the positioning device 33 to assume the operating position B again and to exert a defined contact pressure of the coin conveyor 21 or the brush 22 on the coin transport path 19 . Likewise, the electronic control can cause the positioning device 33 to go into the rest position R, in particular when the coin sorting machine 1 is not in use.
- figure 5 shows a section of the raised coin conveyor 21.
- an elastically deformable buffer element 83 is arranged in the area of the movable part of the positioning device 33 or the worm 37.
- the buffer element 83 protrudes further in the direction of the coin transport path 19 (not shown here) than the disc 57 of the positioning device 33.
- the buffer element 83 hits a stationary part of the housing 4 , before the disc 57 or the worm 37 comes into contact with the pin 41 of the positioning device 33.
- the elements of the positioning device 33 can be prevented from hitting one another.
- the coin conveyor 21 is also prevented from hitting the coin transport path 19 .
- the buffer member 83 can thus effectively prevent the coin sorting device 1 from being damaged.
