Description

Size adjustable garments are known in numerous variations. This also applies to protective vests. The term "protective vest" is understood here in its most general sense. The CA 652 174 shows a zipper system for size adjustment of luggage bags.

The invention has for its object to provide an adjustable in size garment available, which is simple in its manufacture, which can be easily transferred to the different size settings and which shows no or almost no wear in the range of means for size adjustment.

This object is achieved with the features of the independent claim.

Advantageous embodiments of the invention are indicated in the dependent claims.

The invention builds on the generic size adjustable garment in that at least one further row of teeth is provided, which is at least partially covered by the outer zipper (12) in the closed state of the outer zipper (12), in the open state of the outer Zipper (12) is exposed and which can be coupled with one of the rows of teeth (14, 16) of the outer zipper (12) in the manner of a zipper. In the present case, the size adjustability is thus provided by one or more zippers. The production of garments with zippers is easy and inexpensive. Furthermore, zippers with the appropriate quality have an extremely long life. The garment can be easily adjusted in size based on the invention. This streamlines the manufacturing process, and it provides significant simplification in warehousing and distribution. The garment according to the invention may, for example, also be an identification vest or a vest with a start number, for example for competitions. The invention is developed in a particularly advantageous manner in that in the opened state of the inner zipper, the rows of teeth are held together at a distance by material which is covered by the inner zipper in the closed state of the inner zipper. In this sense, it is of particular advantage that another inner zipper with two rows of teeth is provided, which is at least partially covered by the inner zipper in the closed state of the inner zipper and which is exposed in the open state of the inner zipper, and that in the open state at least one of the rows of teeth of the inner zipper and / or at least one row of teeth of the outer zipper with at least one of the outer zipper, the inner zipper and the further inner zipper the rows of teeth of the other inner zipper can be coupled in the manner of a zipper.

It is of particular advantage that a zipper arrangement is created by the zipper (s), and that zipper arrangements are provided at several points of the garment. For example, it may be provided with protective vests that a respective zipper arrangement is arranged on each side of the protective vest.

In this context, it may be useful for the zipper arrangements to be at least partially identical. All zipper assemblies then have the same functionality.

But it may also be useful that the zipper arrangements are at least partially constructed differently. For example, in the case of laterally provided zipper arrangements on protective vests, one of the sides can be made more complex than the other. This is particularly useful when the vest has other functional properties that may set boundary conditions for the design of the zipper assemblies.

The invention also consists in a zipper assembly which is suitable for use in a garment according to the invention and which is defined in connection with the garment according to the invention.

The zipper 12 has two rows of teeth 14, 16, an end piece 28 and a slider 30. The zipper extends from an arm opening of the garment 10 to the lower edge of the garment 10. When closed, the slider 30 is disposed on the arm opening while the tail 28 is located at the bottom. It is also possible to apply the zipper 12 the other way around so that the end piece 28 lies against the arm opening and the slider 30 is located at the lower edge of the garment.

If you open the outer zipper 12 by moving the slider 30 to the end piece 28, the result is the image, which in FIG. 2 is shown. The rows of teeth 14, 16 of the outer zipper 12 now have a distance, wherein they are connected by material 18 or held together at a distance. A special feature of the present example is that the material 18 between the rows of teeth 14, 16 has a further inner zipper 20. This in turn has two rows of teeth 22, 24, an end piece 32 and a slider 34. The inner zipper 20 is sewn into the garment 10 with the same orientation as the outer zipper 12. This is by no means required. Any orientation and any combination of orientations are within the scope of the present invention.

Comparing the garment in its two states, as in the FIGS. 1 and 2 are shown, it can be seen that the garment 10 in the two states has a different size, the garment in the state according to FIG. 1 in which the outer zipper 12 is closed, is smaller than in the state according to FIG. 2 in which the outer zipper 12 is opened.

FIG. 3 now shows a further state of the garment 10. Here is also the inner zipper 20 with its rows of teeth 22, 24 open. The rows of teeth 22, 24 of the inner zipper 20 are held together by material 26 at a distance. With the in FIG. 3 state shown is now a third size of the garment 10 realized, in addition to the two sizes in the FIGS. 1 and 2 are shown.

But it is also possible to realize with the present zipper arrangement more sizes. This is related to FIG. 4 explained. In the state shown here, the row of teeth 24 of the inner zipper 20 is coupled to the row of teeth 14 of the outer zipper. This results in an intermediate size which is between the sizes which the garment 10 according to the FIGS. 1 and 2 having. The interleaving of zippers or rows of teeth thus described can be continued as desired, so that ultimately a multiplicity of zippers forms the entire zipper arrangement.

The described zipper arrangement can be offered overall as a textile component. The textile component is then sewn into a garment like a single zipper.

In the embodiment described above, only a single zipper arrangement is shown. Preferably, on the other side of the garment, namely below the other armhole, there is a zipper arrangement which may be constructed identically or differently to the described zipper arrangement. It would also be conceivable to provide zipper arrangements between the lower edge of the garment and the head hole, whether in the chest and / or back area. Zipper arrangements can also be horizontal, for example between the two armholes. This allows the length of a garment to vary.

Claims (11)

1. A garment (10), particularly a protective vest, which is adjustable in its size, wherein at least one outer zipper (12) having two rows of teeth (14, 16) is provided, wherein the garment (10) has a first size in a closed state of the outer zipper (12) and a second size in an opened state of the outer zipper (12), wherein the first size is smaller than the second size, and wherein, in the opened state of the outer zipper (12), the rows of teeth (14, 16) are held together at a distance by material (18) covered by the outer zipper (12) in the closed state of the outer zipper (12), characterised in that at least one other row of teeth is provided which is at least partly covered by the outer zipper (12) in the closed state of the outer zipper (12), which is exposed in the opened state of the outer zipper (12), and which can be coupled with one of the rows of teeth (14, 16) of the outer zipper (12) in the way of a zipper.

The garment (10) according to claim 1, characterised in that an inner zipper (20) having two rows of teeth (22, 24) is provided which is at least partly covered by the outer zipper (12) in the closed state of the outer zipper (12) and which is exposed in the opened state of the outer zipper (12), and that, in the opened state of the outer zipper (12) and in the opened state of the inner zipper (20), at least one of the rows of teeth (14, 16) of the outer zipper (12) can be coupled with at least one of the rows of teeth (22, 24) of the inner zipper (20) in the way of a zipper.
