Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device for transferring process material between a first container and a second container.
  • Essential components of the device are at least one clamping unit having a first tensioner and a second tensioner, which are independently operable, and a tubular liner piece which extends indirectly between the containers to seal the transition between the containers to the outside.
  • the facing end portion of the liner piece and the facing end portion of a tubular liner residue originating from a previous transfer operation are temporarily fixed.
  • a transfer device is installed between the containers.
  • the process material can be of a sensitive nature - e.g. a pharmaceutical component - and must neither be contaminated by the external environment nor enter the environment.
  • the containers are typically components of a production plant, such as big bags, containers or barrels. Another object of the invention is a method of using the device.
  • That in the EP 1 708 941 B1 described method serves the contamination-avoiding emptying and filling of contents from a container with a flexible or rigid outlet in a downstream device via a connecting pipe.
  • a film carrier is mounted on the connection pipe, on which an endless liner is stored, so that film is available for a number of transfer cycles.
  • the film is passed between the upper edge of the connecting pipe and an existing axial seal.
  • Above the connecting pipe the film is set, whereby a funnel-shaped end piece is created after setting.
  • the tail is inserted in a receptacle with Radialblähring embedded therein and clamped there by means of a designed as a disposable counter-ring with the flexible outlet edge of a container arranged above the connecting pipe.
  • the Radialblähring is deactivated and the film between the bonds just created severed.
  • the container can now be disposed of contamination free together with the enclosed mating ring.
  • Foil is drawn from the foil carrier until sufficient foil is available for a new connection funnel below the existing ligation.
  • the film is tied again over the connecting pipe, and with removal of the upper binding again creates a funnel-shaped tail, as in the beginning.
  • a disadvantage is that the mating ring must be arranged within the receptacle, wherein the free end of the film and the flexible outer edge of the container between mating ring and recording must be manually threaded, which requires much practice, is time-consuming and does not exclude a certain residual risk.
  • Subject of the CH 699 603 A2 are a method and associated apparatus for low-contamination transfer of contents from a first container into a second container.
  • the first container has an envelope which opens into an outlet provided with a first closure. Beyond the first closure extends in continuation of the enclosure, a flexible extension.
