Eine bewährte Filteransetzmaschine der Anmelderin ist beispielsweise aus der DE 40 08 475 A1 bekannt und wird unter dem Namen "MAX" vertrieben. Herkömmliche Filteransetzmaschinen sind zur Verarbeitung doppeltlanger Tabakartikel eingerichtet. In einem Umhüllungsbereich wird ein doppeltlanger Filterstab symmetrisch in der Maschinenmitte angeordnet. Seitlich außen von dem doppeltlangen Filterstab wird jeweils ein Tabakstock angeordnet. Aufgrund der Maschinenkonfiguration aktueller Zigarettenherstellungsmaschinen lassen sich derartige Produkte nicht auf Standard-Maschinen herstellen. Insbesondere liegen die Filterlänge und die Belagpapierbreite deutlich oberhalb der maximal verarbeitbaren Abmessungen, die Tabakstocklänge dementsprechend deutlich unterhalb des verarbeitbaren Mindeststabmaßes. EP 1 493 340 A1 , WO 2005/077211 A und DE 20 2012 012927 U1 offenbaren Filteransetzmaschinen nach dem Oberbegriff von Anspruch 1. Die Tabakstock-nahen Filtersegmente 52 werden als mehrfachlange, beispielsweise vierfachlange Stäbe 52a von einer Zuführeinrichtung 57 aus einem Vorratsbehälter 58 zugeführt, in einzelne Filtersegmente 52 zerschnitten und mit einem positiven Versatz Δx1 relativ zur Maschinenmitte MM in den Umhüllungsbereich 24 der Ansetzmaschine 21 zugefördert. Die Tabakstöcke 11 werden als mehrfachlange, beispielsweise vierfachlange Stöcke 11a von einer Zuführeinrichtung 59 aus einem Vorratsbehälter 60 zugeführt, in einfachlange Tabakstöcke 11 zerschnitten und mit einem positiven Versatz ΔxT relativ zur Maschinenmitte MM in den Umhüllungsbereich 24 der Ansetzmaschine 21 zugefördert. Die Zuführeinrichtungen 55, 57, 59 sind beispielsweise MERLIN Softmodule der Anmelderin. Alle Versatze Δx1, Δx2, Δx3, ΔxT sind ausgehend von der Maschinenmitte MM zu derselben Seite bzw. Bahn hin ausgerichtet wie der Versatz Δx des Belagpapiers 15, 29. Der Versatz ΔxT ist so bemessen, dass das freie Ende des Tabakstocks 11 in der Maschinenmitte MM liegt.
