Diese Anwendungsform ist aber nicht komfortabel und lässt sich auch in die vorhandenen Strukturen der modernen Wasch- und Geschirrspülmaschinen nicht sinnvoll einsetzen.
Andere Lösungsvorschläge sehen vor, den Füllstand im Vorratsbehälter z. B. rechnerisch über die Anzahl der durchgeführten Flüssigkeitszugaben zu ermitteln. Weiterhin kann der Füllstand über die Messung der Temperatur, der Messung des elektrischen Widerstandes oder Messung der Leistungsaufnahme von Heizwiderständen erfasst werden.

Claims (10)

  1. Feed device for liquid detergent or rinsing agent for a washing machine or dishwasher comprising a storage container for receiving the detergent or rinsing agent and comprising a metering device by means of which the detergent or rinsing agent can be introduced by means of a pump via a connecting line, in a metered amount, to the washing or rinsing procedure, and comprising a level monitoring device for the detergent or rinsing agent present in the storage container, a pressure monitor being used as the level sensor (5) for the level of liquid present in the storage container (1),
    characterised in that
    the pressure monitor (5) is connected to the connecting line (3) between the storage container (1) and the pump (2), and in that the signals of the pressure monitor (5) are directed, in conjunction with a control device (6), to a display device (7) of the washing machine or dishwasher, information indicating a fault in the system caused by a defect in the pump (2) or by air bubbles present in the intake region of the pump (2) being shown in this display device (7).
  2. Feed device for liquid detergent or rinsing agent for a washing machine or dishwasher according to claim 1,
    characterised in that
    the pressure monitor (5) is formed such that it can be directly coupled to the connecting line (3) via a connecting device.
  3. Feed device for liquid detergent or rinsing agent for a washing machine or dishwasher according to claim 1,
    characterised in that
    the pressure monitor (5) is inserted in the connecting line (3), by means of an inlet connection piece and an outlet connection piece, so that the liquid flows through said pressure monitor during operation of the pump.

    characterised in that
    the connecting line (3) is arranged level with the base of the storage container (1) or below the base level thereof.

    characterised in that
    the signals of the pressure monitor (5) are directed, in conjunction with a control device (6), to a display device (7) of the washing machine or dishwasher, information regarding the current level of liquid (8) in the storage container (1) being shown in this display device (7).

    characterised in that
    the vacuum occurring in the connecting line (3) during the operation of the pump (2) can be evaluated as the measurement value for the proper operation of the pump.

    the measurement range and the measurement sensitivity of the pressure monitor (5) are designed for the liquid level in the storage container (1) and for the pump pressure that is to be expected in the connecting line (3).
