Definitions

  • the invention relates to a connector for pipes, in particular for a free-standing advertising medium, having a plug part and a socket part, each having at least one lateral opening for receiving a locking element, wherein the plug part is at least partially inserted into the socket part and with this form-fitting lockable.
  • a connector of the type mentioned is, for example EP 0 007 065 A1 known.
  • This is a connector in combination with cylindrical connecting tubes, as used in particular for exhibition furniture and games and sports equipment is described.
  • the connecting tubes shown therein are rigidly connected to each other by means of such a connector.
  • the plug-in connection tubes each have at least one opening.
  • the opening of the radially inner portion of two mated connecting tubes has a shape that is not completely round.
  • This known connector also consists of a usable in the opening of the connecting tube gag.
  • the toggle has a front part, which also deviates from the circular shape and fits into the inner opening. If the toggle is inserted into the opening, it passes through both tubes.
  • the head of the gag has a slot. By means of an additional tool, the knob can be rotated, and serves for locking the connector.
  • the gag generated in addition to the non-positive connection of the pipe ends a positive connection.
  • the known connector has the disadvantage that for the production of the positive connection in addition to the connecting pipes another component, in the form of the toggle is needed. For locking this component also requires an additional tool. A free and movable component such as the toggle can be lost in the assembly process. The necessary tools for locking the handling of the arrangement is further complicated.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object to provide an improved connector, in particular one that has a simple construction and improved handling.
  • this object is achieved with regard to the connector by the subject-matter of claim 1 and with respect to the pipe string by the subject-matter of claim 11.
  • the invention is based on the idea to keep the failure rate of a known from the prior art connector by minimizing and simplifying the individual components as far as possible.
  • the plug part of the invention in contrast to the known connector via a locking element in the form of a spring-loaded bolt, an additional component is avoided.
  • the spring-loaded Bol zen extends over a lateral opening in the plug part radially outwards, whereby the spring force can act at right angles to the socket part.
  • the spring-biased pin protrudes beyond the outer circumference of the plug part and thus allows easy operation, for example by hand, and a sufficiently large effective area to ensure a later locking.
  • the locking element passes through both the lateral opening of the plug part and the lateral opening of the socket part, whereby the plug connection is stable with respect to attacking tensile forces.
  • the connector according to the invention has a simple construction, whereby the production is cheaper and easier assembly.
  • the locking element is secured against falling out of the opening of the plug part. This ensures that the locking element is firmly integrated in the connector. Furthermore, it is prevented that the locking element is lost during disassembly and / or during subsequent transport.
  • the locking element comprises a compression spring which is fixedly connected to the bolt and is supported on an inner surface of the plug part.
  • the solid compound can be made by gluing, soldering, spot welding or any other type of interlocking connection. After introduction of the locking element in the plug part a firm integration in the plug part is also achieved. Another component is thus avoided as it were.
  • the compression spring which is firmly connected to the bolt, provides a compressive force which is transmitted to the bolt in the radial direction of the plug part. The pressure force is supported on the inner surface of the plug part.
  • the internal spring mechanism avoids direct contact with the moving parts of the spring, for example during assembly. This reduces the risk of injury during handling. Furthermore, contamination of the spring mechanism is largely excluded. A long-term ease of the bolt is thus ensured.
  • the bolt can be operated by hand without much effort. A corresponding arrangement is easy to manufacture and assemble.
  • the compression spring has a substantially V-shaped form.
  • the simplicity associated with the V-shape offers several advantages.
  • a correspondingly shaped spring is inexpensive to manufacture.
  • the assembly is simplified. Compared to spiral torsion springs, it can be produced, for example, by simply inserting it in one work step.
  • By a flat and comparatively large-scale acting or conditioning on the inner surface of the plug part a frictional connection between the spring-biased pin and the plug part is again achieved.
  • the spring-biased pin virtually fixates itself.
  • the second V-leg is supported on the opposite side surface of the lateral opening.
  • the geometry achieves the desired spring effect. At the same time the greatest possible spring action is achieved by the direct opposite to the lateral opening of the plug part.
  • the socket part has at least one blocking element.
  • a locking element already provides a conditional torsion, an effective torsion is only achieved by a corresponding blocking element.
  • the inner, rigid blocking element of the socket part extends at least on one side from an inner surface of the socket part radially inwards.
  • the recess provided in the insertion direction at the axial end of the plug part interacts with the blocking element of the socket part in an exact fit. They can be correspondingly smoothly engaged with each other and thus form a positive connection. Locking element and recess cooperate and prevent movement in the torsion axis. In combination with the train protection described above, this results in a positive connection, which is capable of receiving loads according to use in a position. That is, the forces acting are absorbed and transmitted without delay within the framework of the structural integrity of the material used for manufacturing.
  • the blocking element is designed as a web.
  • a web offers the advantage of a continuous connection between the two inner surfaces of the socket part. As a result, the female part is stabilized against possible deformation due to mechanical stress, so stiffened.
  • the web described extends transversely through an axial hollow channel of the socket part. A corresponding continuous, diagonal bridge is easy to manufacture.
  • the male portion of the male part is dimensioned so that the area cooperating with the socket part is sufficient for the application and the forces acting thereon.
  • the insertion portion has a sufficient size for the functional or shapely arrangement of the lateral opening for the spring-biased pin and the recess of the locking element. This offers the advantage of a functional or shapely arrangement.
  • the edges are chamfered so that easy insertion into the socket part is possible. The chamfer avoids the risk of injury as far as possible.
  • the male portion has a smaller diameter than the tube connecting portion.
  • the difference of the diameter is selected in the axial plan view of the plug part so that an effective area results as an abutment to the socket part, which is at least suitable to take the application case related compressive forces on the plug part alone or in combination with the active surfaces of the blocking element.
  • This achieves a pressure-stable plug part which withstands mechanical stresses.
  • the pipe connection section fulfills the function of a transition to a pipe string.
  • the pipe connection section is dimensioned accordingly, so that a resilient attachment of desired pipe string is made possible.
  • a coherent connection can then be made according to any suitable joining method. This achieves the greatest possible freedom in dimensioning, production and assembly.
  • the plug part has, between the plug-in section and the pipe connection section, a first annular flange whose diameter is greater than the diameter of the pipe connection section of the plug part.
  • a further preferred embodiment shows a connector with a pipe connection portion of the female part.
  • This has a first inner diameter, which substantially corresponds to the outer diameter of the male part and is located at the outer end of the tube connecting portion.
  • the second inner diameter of the female part which has a slightly larger inner diameter than the outer diameter of the male part, allows a clean and smooth insertion of the male part into the female part.
  • This has the advantage that the plug part can be inserted or threaded without tilting into the socket part. Only in the rear part of the fully assembled connector then it comes to a positive connection. Assembly and disassembly of the connector are thus facilitated.
  • the transition from the first to the second inner diameter is slightly bevelled and thus serves for easy threading.
  • the socket part comprises a second annular flange, which limits the socket part in the axial direction.
  • This has the same properties as the first ring flange and is used for easy attachment of the pipe string on the socket part.
  • the two elements create a single, functional component.
  • a further preferred embodiment shows a plug connector in which at least the outer contour of the plug part, in particular of the pipe connection section and / or of the socket part, is round, oval, or polygonal.
  • the outer contour of the plug part in particular of the pipe connection section and / or of the socket part, is round, oval, or polygonal.
  • this has the advantage that they are easier to clean.
  • the use of polycarbonate pipes inherently brings the advantage of torsional rigidity. Overall, this offers the advantage that a variety of design options can be selected in the design of a corresponding connector, in particular depending on the availability of raw materials used for the production.
  • the connector according to the invention can be used in a pipe string, which offers the possibility of producing start, finish or goal arches, backdrops or advertising media and the like.
  • a pipe string which offers the possibility of producing start, finish or goal arches, backdrops or advertising media and the like.
  • These are arbitrary Form creations, such as functional or optical type conceivable with a corresponding pipe string and a connector.
  • Fig. 1 shows a plug part 2 with a pipe connection portion 5 and a male portion 3.
  • the pipe connecting portion 5, which has a larger diameter than the insertion portion 3, serves to attach a connecting pipe, which is joined in the region of the pipe connecting portion 5 with the connecting tube form-fit merged.
  • a first annular flange 32 with a wedge-shaped mandrel 33 is preferably a first annular flange 32 with a wedge-shaped mandrel 33.
  • the annular flange 32 substantially fulfills two main functions. On the one hand it forms an abutment in the direction of the socket part for the interaction with the socket part.
  • the wedge-shaped mandrel 33 which - starting from the first annular flange 32 - a wedge-shaped tapering elevation in the direction of the pipe connecting portion 5 forms, for applying a notched connecting pipe, which can then be materially connected to the connecting tube without the aid of pressure or clamping tools.
  • a lateral opening 6 in the form of a bore At the axial direction end 24 of the connector, a recess 26 in the form of a groove for receiving the locking element 20 of the female part 4 is shown.
  • the transitions between the individual areas and at the outer ends of the component chamfered edges 21 are provided. This reduces the risk of injury during later use but also during the manufacturing process.
  • Fig. 2 shows a front view of the connector part 2 according to Fig. 1 ,
  • A shows an outer contour of the first annular flange 32 and B an inner contour of the first annular flange 32.
  • the latter is synonymous with the outer contour of the pipe connecting portion 5.
  • a connecting pipe can be plugged later.
  • the transition between A and B is formed as a chamfer. This forms a suitable gap in the transition between A and B for the application of a material-joining method.
  • C shows a chamfered edge and at the same time an inner contour of the pipe connection section.
  • the chamfer reduces here as at the axial end 24 of the insertion section 3, the risk of injury in general, and in particular during handling or assembly.
  • D shows an inner diameter of the pipe connecting portion 5. This is chosen so that it withstands the loads occurring depending on the application.
  • E shows an inner diameter of the Einsteckabitess 3. Material thickness and choice of the inner diameter are also designed to load.
  • the wedge-shaped mandrel 33 is also recognizable here on the outer contour of the plug part 2.
  • Fig. 3 shows a plan view of the plug part according to Fig. 1 ,
  • a compression spring 16 which is supported on an inner surface 18 of a male part 2.
  • the compression spring has a substantially V-shaped configuration, wherein in the installed state, a first V-leg 17 conforms to the inner surface 18 of the plug part 2.
  • a second V-leg 19 of the compression spring 16 is supported on the opposite inner surface 34 of the plug part 2 from.
  • the compression spring extends over the inner cavity of the plug part 2.
  • a spring-biased pin 12 is fixedly connected to the compression spring and extends through the side opening 6. Together, these form a locking element 10.
  • the spring-biased pin 12 is on an outer periphery fourteenth the male part such that it engages in the locking state in a corresponding side opening 8 of a female part 4.
  • the outer contour of the spring-loaded bolt is rounded in the direction of action, so that the risk of injury when operating the bolt is reduced.
  • Fig. 4 shows a side view of an inventive socket part 4 according to a preferred embodiment. It shows a second annular flange 9, on which a wedge-shaped mandrel 33 can be seen.

  • On the second annular flange 9 is a lateral opening 8 of the female part 4, which is designed in the form of a blind hole. This offers the advantage in later use that the spring-biased pin 12 is easily actuated when releasing an existing connector.
  • Fig. 5 shows a front view of the socket part according to Fig. 4
  • F shows an outer contour of a second annular flange 9 of the female part 4
  • G an inner contour of the second annular flange 9.
  • the transition between F and G is formed as a chamfer. This forms a suitable gap in the transition between F and G for the application of a material-joining method.
