- the improved nozzle for spray guns intended for paints made up of two components and derivatives based on fluid transfer, object of the present invention intends to improve the drawbacks described above, to that end, it has a head with several air crests for projecting the different components forming the sprayed cloud and several air outlets meeting the projection of the previous components at a point in front of said head, an external mixing of resin and catalyst thus being performed.
- the exit of the catalyst, the resin, the pressurized air and any other of the components if any, is achieved by several independent holes such that all the components are injected in unison by tightening the trigger and a sprayed mixture cloud is created outside the nozzle.
- All the pressurized air and catalyst lines are machined in the nozzle itself, with the outlets thereof in the air crests on both sides of the central outlet hole of the resin, directed towards a point where all the components converge outside of the spray gun.
- each of the outlets of the nozzle is regulated in flow and pressure, which favors the regulation of the mixture and its use depending on the intended finish and the nature of the components.
- a fresher mixture with less mixture property loss since it is mixed at the time of use is provided at all times. It also allows the use of products of 2 instant reaction components which could not be performed in otherwise non-manual manner.
- the proposed nozzle involves a better performance and use of the products since there is no remaining product, i.e., only the needed amount of product is used. It further facilitates quicker color changes without solvent consumption.
- this nozzle does not require cleaning since the components are never mixed inside, whereby the use of cleaning solvents and the emission of gases is prevented, not generating toxic and dangerous wastes.
- a nozzle (7) body is distinguish, where the air crests (8) having part of the air and catalyst outlet holes of the nozzle are located.

- the nozzle (7) incorporates pressurized air inlet channels (4), conveying the air through the inside of the nozzle and they end in different elements at the outer surface of the nozzle, these elements are made up on one hand of outlets (5), in a first phase, for spraying the resin fan and on the other hand of outlets (3), in a second phase, for spraying the cloud of the catalyst, both phases are mixed in a synchronized manner outside the nozzle (7).
- the element generating the cloud which sprays the catalyst (3) is formed by a plurality of holes surrounding that of the catalyst (2) outlet, spraying the catalyst.
- Said element (3) can also be formed by longitudinal grooves or the like.
- the element generating this spraying cloud (3) can also be formed by holes or grooves which are directly connected with the outside of the nozzle (6), for the purpose of obtaining an extra air supply from the outside by Venturi effect, to achieve a better spraying.
- the air crests (8) protrude from the plane of the nozzle and are arranged in the manner favoring the formation of the sprayed cloud of the component and air mixture.
- the catalyst is externally connected to the line (1), and it will be activated by means of an external valve by pressing the trigger, or by a electric-pneumatic signal if it is an automatic spray gun, such that the catalyst travels through the internal channel to the outlet (2) which, similar to that of the air (3), may also be formed by grooves or the like.

- the air also flows from the element (3) towards the same meeting point, whereby the product is on one hand sprayed with the air of the element (5) and the catalyst with that of the element (3), this situation favoring a very diffused mixture cloud as a result of the amount of air received and the dispersion and incidence on the main jet obtained by arranging the spouts forming both the elements (3) and (5).
- the nozzle (7) is provided with a series of non-pressurized holes (6) which are shown, on one hand, communicated with the outside and on the other in communication with the pressurized air supply lines to the element of the second phase (3) for supplying air to the catalyst or to the element of the first phase (5) for supplying air to the resin.
- These outer holes (6) lie in that they enable the entrance of air from the outside, as an extra supply when the spray gun and the elements of the second phase (3) or first phase (5) are active by the Venturi effect, by pulling the outside air caused by the exit through the element (3) or (5). A better spraying due to an extra injection of air flow without additional energy consumption thus being achieved.
- This Venturi effect can also be applied to single-component spray guns where only product is sprayed through the outlet (9) improving the spraying.
- the holes of the second phase (3) would be void, since the catalyst outlet hole (2) would not be operational.
