Claims (11)

  1. Packaging machine (100) for filling open-mouth bags (1) wherein the open-mouth bags (1) comprise gussets (5) and extend from a first end (3) to a second end (4),
    characterized in that a spreader device (101) is provided and set up for optionally pulling the gussets (5) outwardly out of the second end (4) of the open-mouth bag (1) so that the open-mouth bag (1) is wider at the second end (4) than at the first end (3) wherein a conveying device (102) is set up for attaching the open-mouth bag (1) to a filling spout (103) by the opened, second end (4) and wherein a closing device (104) is provided for closing the second end (4) of the open-mouth bag (1) by way of a closing seam (7, 8).
  2. The packaging machine (100) according to claim 1 wherein the spreader device (101) comprises gripping fingers (120) suitable for entering the opened second end (4) and wherein the gripping fingers (120) are provided to be displaceable outwardly for pulling the gussets outwardly.
  3. The packaging machine (100) according to claim 2 wherein the spreader device (101) and/or the gripping fingers (120) are provided pivotable.
  4. The packaging machine (100) according to claim 1 or 2 wherein a film reservoir (104) and a bag forming device (105) are provided for manufacturing individual open-mouth bags (1) from a gusseted (5) tubular material (106).
  5. The packaging machine (30) according to any of the two preceding claims wherein a device (107) for creating corner seams (9) at the first end (3) and/or the second end (4) of the open-mouth bag (1) is provided.
  6. Method for filling open-mouth bags (1) wherein the bags (1) are gusseted (5) and extend from a first end (3) to a second end (4), characterized in that the gussets (5) are pulled outwardly out of the second end (4) of the open-mouth bag (1) by means of a spreader device (101) so that the open-mouth bag (1) is wider at the second end (4) than at the first end (3) to provide a large filling mouth and that the open-mouth bag (1) is attached to a filling spout (103) by the opened, second end (4) where it is filled at least in part before the second end (4) of the open-mouth bag (1) is closed by way of at least one closing seam (7, 8) by means of a closing device (104).
  7. The method according to the preceding claim wherein the open-mouth bag (1) is formed at a bag forming device (105) from a gusseted (5) tubular material (106).
  8. The method according to any of the two preceding claims wherein a section (108) forming the bag wall is separated from the tubular material (106) and a closing seam (7, 8) is made at a first end (3) and the open-mouth bag (1) is filled from the second end (4) which is subsequently closed by way of a closing seam (8, 7).
  9. The method according to any of the three preceding claims wherein the closing seam (7, 8) at the first end (3) extends through the folded-in gussets (5).
  10. The method according to any of the four preceding claims wherein the gusset areas (5) at the second end (4) are pulled outwardly and the closing seam (8, 7) at the second end (3, 4) extends across the folded-open gusset areas.
  11. The method according to any of the six preceding claims wherein only the first end (3) is provided with corner seams (9).
