- Switchable supporting element (1) for a valve train of an internal combustion engine, having a housing (2) which can be arranged via its outer shell (3) in a receptacle of the internal combustion engine, and in the bore (4) of which an axially movable inner element (6) which protrudes with its head (5) beyond an edge (7) of the housing (2) runs, the supporting element (1) being assigned coupling means (8) for selectively coupling the inner element (6) in its axially extended position to the housing (2), which inner element (6) is loaded out of the housing (2) by way of at least one lost-motion spring (9), characterized in that the coupling means (8) are configured as at least two slides which, in the decoupled case, are positioned in each case in a guide (10) of the housing (2), which guide (10) runs radially or in a secant-like manner, to which slides, starting from their radially inner end (11), a flattened upper side (12) is immanent, via which, in the coupled case, they can be brought into engagement with a flattened underside (13) of at least one recess (14) in the outer shell (15) of the inner element (6), the recess (14) of the inner element (6) either being configured as a transverse slot with a secant-like/straight slot bottom (16) or in an annular segment-like/crescent-like manner in the outer shell (15) of the inner element (6) on the side of the respective slide as coupling means (8), and an anti-rotation safeguard (21) being applied between the inner element (6) and the housing (2), and a pin being provided as anti-rotation safeguard (21), which pin is fastened in a recess (22) of the housing (2) and communicates with a longitudinal cut-out (23) on the inner element (6) and has a flattened underside and upper side (25, 26) which emanate from its radially inner end side (24) and, as vertical stops at both ends, communicate with opposite stop faces (27, 28) of the longitudinal cut-out (23) on the inner element (6), a positional assignment of the slides as coupling means (8) to their recesses (14) of the inner element (7) being produced in the case of the axially extended stop position of the inner element (6).
- Supporting element according to Claim 1, characterized in that the recess (14) of the inner element (6) is configured as a circumferential annular groove.
- Supporting element according to Claim 1, characterized in that precisely two slides which lie diametrically opposite one another are provided as coupling means (8) in the guide (10) of the housing (2).
- Supporting element according to Claim 1 or 3, characterized in that the respective slide as a coupling means (8) is configured as a piston, and in that its guide (10) in the housing (2) is configured as a bore, the flattened upper side (12) of which guide (10) is a constituent part of a step-like material clearance, starting from its radially inner end (11).
- Supporting element according to Claim 4, if referring back to Claim 3, characterized in that a displacement of the two slides as coupling means (8) in the coupling direction is produced via the force of at least one bracket-like or clip-like, inwardly prestressed spring (16a) which either bears against the outer shell (3) of the housing (2) or is guided in a circumferential groove (17) in the outer shell (3) of the housing (2) and acts with its end pieces (18) or regions of its inner shell on outer end sides (19) of the slides as coupling means (8).
- Supporting element according to Claim 5, characterized in that the end pieces (18) of the spring (16a) are seated with a region which is curved in a radius-like manner in longitudinal slots (20) of the outer end sides (19) of the slides as coupling means (8) for anti-rotation safeguard purposes.
- Supporting element according to Claim 1, characterized in that a setting of a coupling play is brought about via the pin as anti-rotation safeguard (21).
- Supporting element according to Claim 1, characterized in that a setting of a coupling play is brought about via the respective slide as coupling means (8).
- Supporting element according to Claim 1, characterized in that the supporting element (1) is provided with hydraulic play compensation.
- Supporting element according to Claim 9, characterized in that a pressure piston (31) which encloses a storage space (30) for hydraulic medium runs as a constituent part of the inner element (6) in a bore (29) of the inner element (6), which pressure piston (31) has the head (5), a check valve (33) running on a transverse land (32) of the pressure piston (31), which transverse land (32) is remote from the head, and a high pressure space (35) for the hydraulic medium being formed axially between the transverse land (32) and a bottom (34) of the inner element (6), which bottom (34) is remote from the head, and the recess (14) for the slide as coupling means (8) lying on the outer shell (15) of the inner element (6) at least in sections radially next to the high pressure space (35) or at a higher location.
- Supporting element according to Claim 1, characterized in that one or more compression coil springs are provided as lost-motion spring (9), which compression coil springs act at one end against an underside (36) of the inner element (6) and at the other end against a bottom (37) of the pot-like housing (2).
- Supporting element according to Claim 1, characterized in that a displacement of the at least one slide as coupling means (8) in the decoupling direction can be produced via a hydraulic medium, for the inflow of which an annular groove (38) or a cut-out such as a bore runs on the outer shell (3) of the housing (2) axially below the respective guide (10), from which the hydraulic medium can be conducted via at least one transverse bore (39) through the housing (2) into the recess (14) radially on the inside in front of the end (11) of the slide as coupling means (8).
