Definitions
- the invention relates to a drain having a housing, an upper inlet opening, an inlet opening arranged at the inlet opening and arranged in the outer side wall of the housing outlet opening, wherein in the housing an accumulation wall is arranged substantially parallel to the outer side wall of the housing such that within the housing a siphon channel and a drain channel is formed, wherein the siphon channel adjoins the inflow and wherein the outlet channel opens into the outlet opening
- the drain is provided in particular for shower, bath or Jacuzzi tubs.
- a generic sequence is from the DE 196 51 405 A1 known.
- the water flows into the central inflow channel and then passes into the siphon channel, which is separated in the radial direction from an intermediate wall of the inflow channel.
- the outlet channel is arranged in the radial direction on the outside and opens into an outlet opening. Due to the internal arrangement of the inflow and Siphonkanals the flow cross-sections and thus the drain capacity are limited at a given Siphon réellesheed.
- Out EP 1 229 174 B1 is a drain with a housing, an upper inlet opening, an inlet opening arranged at the inlet and a arranged in the outer side wall of the housing outlet opening known. Due to its small size, the procedure described there is particularly suitable for use on a shower tray, where due to the limited space below the tub for a conventional siphon is usually too little space. In order nevertheless to ensure a siphon-like closure for sewers, the procedure described in the cited document has a deflection for the outflowing liquid.
- the liquid which is passed through the inlet opening into an insert, initially passed through an inner inlet section along the insert to an outer outlet section, before being led from there via an inclined chamber to the sewer line.
- the disadvantage here is that due to the small dimensions of the drain, the drain capacity is limited. As a result, it can happen, for example, when showering that accumulates within the shower tray due to the low drainage performance of the drain water, which can run out of the shower tray laterally.
- the invention has the object to provide a sequence which has a high drainage performance in a compact design and is particularly suitable for use on a flat shower tray.
- the siphon channel is limited by the outer side wall and the Anstauwand and that the outlet channel is limited by the Anstauwand, wherein the outlet channel between the siphon channel and the inflow channel is arranged. Accordingly, the liquid which flows through the outlet initially enters from the inlet opening into the inflow channel and from there via the siphon channel and then via the outlet channel to the outlet opening.
- the fact that the siphon channel runs along the outer side wall, it has a larger cross-section than is the case with conventional processes This increase in the cross-section causes an increase in drainage performance of the entire process compared to the known from the prior art embodiment. Due to the high drainage capacity it can be ensured that there is no accumulation of water when showering inside the shower tray. Due to the inventive design, these drainage capacities can also be compact Dimensions of, for example, less than 100 mm height can be achieved with a housing diameter of less than 160 mm.
- a removable insert is arranged in the housing, which has the inflow channel.
- This insert can for example be designed so that it has a substantially cylindrical shape and that it has at the top and bottom each circumferential sealing elements.
- the removable insert forms the inflow, wherein at the ends of the tubular channel in each case an outer circumferential groove for receiving seals may be provided.
- the use on the upper side has a removal aid, which is preferably formed as a bracket. With this bracket, the use of the process can be easily removed, which, for example, the cleaning of the process is much easier.
- the use of cleaning tools from the upper inlet opening can be easily passed through the side outlet opening, so that even a subsequent drain pipe can be easily cleaned.
- connection piece is arranged at the outlet opening.
- This connection piece can have an outer diameter of at least 40 mm, preferably about 50 mm. This makes it possible to connect sewage pipes with a nominal diameter of, for example, DN 50 to the drain fitting. Pipes of this size, which have a cross section of 50 mm, guarantee a high drainage performance. The use of smaller pipe cross-sections would reduce drainage performance.
- the housing of the drain has a substantially cylindrical outer shape.
- the shape could, for example, be pot-shaped, with a connecting flange being arranged on the upper side in the region of the inlet opening and the connecting flange being provided with a sealing element.
- a common 90 mm follow-on stamping can be provided. With this connection flange, the drain is fixed to the bottom of the shower tray.
- the diameter of the housing is less than 160 mm. It can also be provided housing whose diameter is smaller than 180 mm or whose diameter is only about 150 mm.
- the Anstauwand over a circumferential angle of at least 300 ° parallel to the outer side wall of the housing and that the outlet opening extends over a region of the outer side wall whose circumferential angle is less than 60 °. In this way it is ensured that the mouth of the outlet channel is sufficiently large in the outlet opening, so that it does not limit the drainage performance of the process.
- the bottom of the housing has a substantially conical elevation inwards, wherein the axis of symmetry of the elevation extends essentially through the bottom center.
- the liquid flowing through the outlet in the lower region of the inflow channel is distributed substantially uniformly radially to the siphon channel, thereby avoiding turbulence in the flow.
- the flow velocity and thus the drainage performance is improved.
- the height of the retaining wall should be selected so that a secure odor trap is guaranteed.
- the process according to the invention can also be characterized in that the height of the housing is less than 100 mm.
- This allows use of the drain fitting also under shower trays with a relatively low height, which is advantageous in terms of the most aesthetic integration of the shower tray within a sanitary area.
- FIG. 1 A perspective, partially cut-away, representation of a preferred embodiment of the process according to the invention is the Fig. 1 refer to.
- the housing 1 can be seen, and the upper inlet opening 2 and arranged at the upper inlet opening 2 inflow 3.
- an outlet opening 5 is arranged in the outer side wall 4 of the housing 1.
- Housing 1 is also a Anstauwand 6 arranged substantially parallel to the outer side wall 4 of the housing 1 such that within the housing 1, a siphon channel 7 and an opening into the outlet opening 5 outlet channel 8 is formed.
- the siphon channel 7 adjoins the inflow channel 3.
- the siphon channel 7 is limited by the outer side wall 4 and the Anstauwand 6.
- the outlet channel 8 is disposed between the siphon channel 7 and the inflow channel 3 and bounded outwardly by the Anstauwand 6 and inwardly through the inflow channel 3.
- a removable insert 9 is arranged, which has the inflow passage 3.
- the sealing element 10, 10 ' is arranged in a groove 11 which is arranged on the outside in the region of the upper and lower end of the removable insert 9.
- the insert 9 has an upper-side removal aid, which is preferably formed as a bracket 12.
- a connecting piece 14 is arranged, wherein the connecting piece 14 has an outer diameter of at least 40 mm.
- an outer diameter of the connecting piece 14 of 50 mm it is possible, for example, to use a sewer pipe 13 with a nominal diameter of DN 50, whereby a large drainage performance of the process is possible.
- Fig. 2 shows a horizontal section through the in Fig. 1 shown procedure.
- the sectional view of Fig. 2 It can be seen that the housing 1 has a substantially cylindrical outer shape.
- the diameter of the housing 1 may be less than 160 mm, preferably about 150 mm. Larger diameters, for example about 180 mm, may also be provided.

Description
The invention relates to a drain having a housing, an upper inlet opening, an inlet opening arranged at the inlet opening and arranged in the outer side wall of the housing outlet opening, wherein in the housing an accumulation wall is arranged substantially parallel to the outer side wall of the housing such that within the housing a siphon channel and a drain channel is formed, wherein the siphon channel adjoins the inflow and wherein the outlet channel opens into the outlet opening The drain is provided in particular for shower, bath or Jacuzzi tubs.

In this case, the liquid, which is passed through the inlet opening into an insert, initially passed through an inner inlet section along the insert to an outer outlet section, before being led from there via an inclined chamber to the sewer line. The disadvantage here is that due to the small dimensions of the drain, the drain capacity is limited. As a result, it can happen, for example, when showering that accumulates within the shower tray due to the low drainage performance of the drain water, which can run out of the shower tray laterally.
Against this background, the invention has the object to provide a sequence which has a high drainage performance in a compact design and is particularly suitable for use on a flat shower tray.
The object is achieved in that the siphon channel is limited by the outer side wall and the Anstauwand and that the outlet channel is limited by the Anstauwand, wherein the outlet channel between the siphon channel and the inflow channel is arranged. Accordingly, the liquid which flows through the outlet initially enters from the inlet opening into the inflow channel and from there via the siphon channel and then via the outlet channel to the outlet opening. The fact that the siphon channel runs along the outer side wall, it has a larger cross-section than is the case with conventional processes This increase in the cross-section causes an increase in drainage performance of the entire process compared to the known from the prior art embodiment. Due to the high drainage capacity it can be ensured that there is no accumulation of water when showering inside the shower tray. Due to the inventive design, these drainage capacities can also be compact Dimensions of, for example, less than 100 mm height can be achieved with a housing diameter of less than 160 mm.
In the sequence according to the invention it can be provided that a removable insert is arranged in the housing, which has the inflow channel. This insert can for example be designed so that it has a substantially cylindrical shape and that it has at the top and bottom each circumferential sealing elements. With regard to a simplified production, it may be useful that the removable insert forms the inflow, wherein at the ends of the tubular channel in each case an outer circumferential groove for receiving seals may be provided. In addition, it may be appropriate that the use on the upper side has a removal aid, which is preferably formed as a bracket. With this bracket, the use of the process can be easily removed, which, for example, the cleaning of the process is much easier. Thus, for example, in the absence of the use of cleaning tools from the upper inlet opening can be easily passed through the side outlet opening, so that even a subsequent drain pipe can be easily cleaned.
In a preferred embodiment of the sequence according to the invention it can be provided that a connection piece is arranged at the outlet opening. This connection piece can have an outer diameter of at least 40 mm, preferably about 50 mm. This makes it possible to connect sewage pipes with a nominal diameter of, for example, DN 50 to the drain fitting. Pipes of this size, which have a cross section of 50 mm, guarantee a high drainage performance. The use of smaller pipe cross-sections would reduce drainage performance.
It may be expedient that the housing of the drain has a substantially cylindrical outer shape. The shape could, for example, be pot-shaped, with a connecting flange being arranged on the upper side in the region of the inlet opening and the connecting flange being provided with a sealing element. In particular, a common 90 mm follow-on stamping can be provided. With this connection flange, the drain is fixed to the bottom of the shower tray. In a preferred variant of the sequence according to the invention, the diameter of the housing is less than 160 mm. It can also be provided housing whose diameter is smaller than 180 mm or whose diameter is only about 150 mm.
In an advantageous embodiment of the sequence according to the invention can be provided that the Anstauwand over a circumferential angle of at least 300 ° parallel to the outer side wall of the housing and that the outlet opening extends over a region of the outer side wall whose circumferential angle is less than 60 °. In this way it is ensured that the mouth of the outlet channel is sufficiently large in the outlet opening, so that it does not limit the drainage performance of the process.
It may additionally be expedient that the bottom of the housing has a substantially conical elevation inwards, wherein the axis of symmetry of the elevation extends essentially through the bottom center. In this way, the liquid flowing through the outlet in the lower region of the inflow channel is distributed substantially uniformly radially to the siphon channel, thereby avoiding turbulence in the flow. By avoiding turbulence within the flow, the flow velocity and thus the drainage performance is improved.
The height of the retaining wall should be selected so that a secure odor trap is guaranteed.
The process according to the invention can also be characterized in that the height of the housing is less than 100 mm. This allows use of the drain fitting also under shower trays with a relatively low height, which is advantageous in terms of the most aesthetic integration of the shower tray within a sanitary area. Especially with floor level or almost floor level shower trays, there is a demand for drain fittings with low installation height, less than 100 mm, as they must be used in the screed under the shower tray. Similarly, in bath types that are used, for example, at least partially in the floor of the sanitary area, there is a need for drain fittings with a correspondingly small installation height.
