  • Der Zigarettenkörper 12 einer "anzuzündenen" bzw. aufzuheizenden Zigarette wird in das Aufnahmenfach 76 bis zum Anschlag 80 eingeschoben. Mittels der Handhabe 72 wird das Feuerzeug dann in Betrieb gesetzt, so dass das Wärmerohr 26 von der Flamme 102 erwärmt wird. Die Wärmeleitfähigkeit des schlecht wärmeleitenden Mantels 24 und die Temperaturempfindlichkeit des Bimetallstreifens 98 sind derart aufeinander abgestimmt, dass der Bimetallstreifen 98 das Ventil der Ventilbaugruppe 90 schließt, wenn das Wärmerohr 26, insbesondere dessen aus dem Mantel 24 vorstehender Bereich 28, eine vorbestimmte Temperatur erreicht hat, die zum Verdampfen des Genussmittels 33 (Fig. 6) genügt. Dabei ist die Außenseite des Mantels 24 noch so wenig erwärmt, dass ihre Berührung als angenehm empfunden wird. Der Zigarettenkörper 12 wird anschließend aus dem Feuerzeug herausgenommen. Ein frisches Mundstück 10 wird aufgesteckt und steht für einen Genuss des Genussmittels 33 zur Verfügung, indem, wie bei herkömmlichen Zigaretten, durch das Mundstück 10 hindurch Luft angesaugt wird. Der Genuss des Genussmittels ist auf diese Weise für den "Raucher" intensiv, ohne dass die Umwelt durch irgendwelchen Rauch belästigt wird.

Claims (4)

  1. A lighter for heating up a smokeless cigarette,
    said cigarette comprising a cigarette body (12) with an outer sheath (24) made of a thermally insulating material, and a heat pipe (26) made of a heat conducting material, which heat pipe is surrounded by said sheath (24), wherein a mouth piece (10) is attachable to one end of the cigarette body (12) such that a stimulant (33), which can be placed between the mouth piece (10) and the end of the heat pipe (26), which end is facing said mouth piece, is in contact with the heat pipe (26), said stimulant (33) being heatable to a temperature sufficient for vaporizing the stimulant (33) by heating the end of the heat pipe (26) that is opposed to the mouth piece (10), said lighter having a housing (70) comprising:
    a fuel reservoir (92) connected to a burner nozzle (86) via a valve (90),
    an igniting device (97) formed in the area of the burner nozzle (86), wherein said valve (90) is openable by means of an actuator (72) that is provided on the housing (70), and wherein a flame can be ignited by means of the igniting device (97),
    and a receptacle (76) formed inside the housing (70), adjoining the burner nozzle (86) and the igniting device (97), and accessible via a hole (74) in the housing, into which receptacle the end of the cigarette body, which end is opposed to the mouth piece (10), can be inserted, so that the associated end of the heat pipe (26), which end faces the burner nozzle (86), is heatable with the flame for vaporizing the stimulant, and the cigarette body (12) can be removed from the receptacle (76) when the stimulant begins to vaporize
    characterized in that
    a thermal sensor (98) is provided, which detects the temperature of the cigarette body (12) in the end portion thereof, which end portion is facing the burner nozzle (86), and closes the valve (90) when a threshold temperature has been exceeded.
  2. The lighter according to claim 1, wherein the thermal sensor comprises a bi-metal strip (98) for detecting the temperature of a bushing (82) that receives the end portion of the cigarette body, the valve (90) being closed by deformation of said bi-metal strip.
  3. The lighter according to claim 1 or 2, wherein openings (79) for entry of fresh air into the area of the burner nozzle (86) are formed in the housing (70).
  4. The lighter according to one of claims 1 to 3, wherein one portion (78) of the housing (70) is transparent, so that the flame (102) emanating from the burner nozzle (86) is visible outside of the housing (70).
