Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for forming a fabric edge on rapier looms with the features according to claims 1 and 2.
  • a so-called catch or auxiliary strip With such a catch strip, a number of auxiliary warp threads are arranged laterally outside the main warp threads for the actual fabric.
  • the auxiliary warp threads are subjected to a specialist movement and the weft thread is inserted with its free end between these auxiliary warp threads, tied and held by these. In this way, a narrow auxiliary fabric strip, also called catch strip is made.
  • the catch strip has the purpose to catch the registered weft or hold. During weaving, the catch strip on the entry side holds the coil-side weft end of each weft thread until the corresponding weft thread, depending on the repeat, i. from the fabric pattern, is reentered. A weft thread that has not been registered over several weft insertion cycles therefore also runs in the entry-side catching strip until it is reinserted.
  • the catch strips are subsequently separated again from the actual tissue and form a thread waste. Taking into account the production capacity of a modern rapier weaving machine, this thread waste results in considerable losses, in particular when weaving with high-quality, expensive yarns.
  • a device for reducing these losses is from the DE 34 18 764 C1 known.
  • the auxiliary warp threads required for forming the catching strip are guided by a separate auxiliary weaving reed.
  • This Hilfswebblatt makes in addition to the normal and coupled with the main reed stop movement in addition to a lateral, outward displacement movement.
  • a further reduction of the thread drop in the catch bar is achieved with a device and a method that in the EP 0 878 570 A1 is described.
  • the fishing line is formed according to this document by means of a rotary edge twister by two leno warp threads.
  • the thread waste is reduced by the fact that instead of several auxiliary warp threads in the catch strip only two Dreherkettfäden are needed, and that the weft length is shortened in the narrow catch strip.
  • Is schlleßlich from the DE 31 37 831 A1 a method for trimming the fabric edge of a fabric web on a shuttleless loom known, is completely dispensed with a catch or auxiliary bar.
  • the registered weft thread is cut off after entry on the entry side and the fabric-side weft thread ends are subsequently cut again. This again creates a thread waste.
  • the DE 31 37 831 A1 describes a method of weaving with a weft color and does not disclose how the wadded weft yarns cut off after the weft insertion are provided to the gripper in time and at a suitable location for the next weft insertion. In particular, when weaving with several provided weft threads, the so-called multi-colored weaving, this is not easy to accomplish.
  • the DE 25 15 609 describes a device with pneumatic means for detecting and transporting weft thread ends which are withdrawn from different spools.
  • each thread is either held individually or pneumatically brought into the track of the gripper or submitted to the gripper; There are no mechanical elements or Hinvraadeln, submit the each to be inserted weft thread the gripper.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a To provide apparatus for multicolor weaving on a rapier, whereby the thread waste is minimized.
  • first one of a plurality of weft yarns kept ready on bobbins is positioned in the path of a gripper, while the other weft yarns are held outside the raceway.
  • the weft thread positioned in the raceway of the gripper is grasped by the gripper and inserted into a shed and, after the entry, struck by means of a reed to a binding line.
  • the binding line corresponds to the fabric edge, along which the last registered and posted weft thread is arranged.
  • the registered weft thread is cut on the entry side immediately after striking. When cutting the weft thread on the entry side of the loom, two weft thread ends are formed.
  • a fabric-side weft end which forms the left fabric edge
  • a coil-side weft end which is still connected after cutting the weft thread with the coil.
  • the coil-side weft end of each weft thread cut off is now each detected and held by another suction chamber of a suction chamber block.
  • the coil side weft end is entered as a front end of the weft thread in the shed and then forms the fabric edge on the extension side of the loom.
  • the described Verschis suitse are repeated several times, so that a fabric with an entry-side fabric edge is formed without a thread drop is formed on the entry side
  • the main advantage is that even with multi-colored weaving is dispensed with a catch bar and thereby a significant material savings is achieved. This is done by the entry-side suction chamber block achieved with suction chambers, which detects the coil-side weft ends separated from each other after cutting the inserted weft thread and holds until the respective weft thread is entered again. As a result, entanglements of the adjacent weft threads are avoided. This is advantageous because in particular rough yarns tend to adhere to each other by contact with other yarns by entanglements.
  • weft threads By separately seized and held weft ends prevents other weft threads are entangled with the weft thread to be entered and the gripper entrains after recording the weft thread to be inserted even more weft threads in the direction of the shed. An unintentionally pulled weft thread would cause production interruptions or defects in the fabric.
  • the selection of the respective weft thread to be introduced takes place, as known per se, according to a predetermined fabric pattern.
  • the fabric pattern is recorded in the form of a so-called repeat in the control of the loom.
  • Hinuschadeln are advantageously driven by an electric motor and controlled by the weaving machine control to reach the respective weft thread at the right time the gripper for weft insertion, ie to position the weft thread in the raceway of the gripper.
  • the device according to the patent specification EP 0 478 986 B1 referenced, in the so-called Fadenzubringer are indicated as Hinreicheimplantation.
  • the drive for the priming elements of the main drive of the loom In this case, the movement of the priming elements can be controlled, for example, by a cam gear.
  • the gripper is usually attached to the front end of a rapier or rapier bar and may have an actively actuated gripper clamp or a passive gripper clamp.
  • the suction chamber block acts such that the cut off coil side weft end is detected and held by an air flow.
  • the airflow can in Be adjustable with respect to the flow rate and time, in particular to influence the behavior of different types of Schussgamen in the air flow advantageous. This allows the weaving machine operator to set such that the air flow is strong enough to securely grip and hold the weft yarns and not so strong that the weft yarn ends are damaged by the air flow.
  • the suction chamber block is arranged so that the weft yarn end held in the suction chamber after detection is between a few millimeters and several centimeters long.
  • a long weft end in the suction chamber requires a lower holding suction pressure
  • a short weft end requires a higher holding suction pressure in the suction chamber.
  • the required holding suction pressure is also dependent on the diameter and the roughness of the weft threads.
  • the suction chamber block by means of a movable member each provide a different suction chamber for each weft.
  • the function and possible embodiments of the movable element will be explained in more detail in the following description of the device according to the invention.
  • a device for forming an entry-side fabric edge in a rapier weaving machine in which at least two weft threads drawn from different bobbins are successively inserted by at least one gripper into a shed formed from warp threads and are cut on the entry side by a pair of scissors arranged close to the outermost warp thread.
  • a suction chamber block for holding the coil-side weft ends, which suction chamber block is divided into separate suction chambers for separately grasping and holding each weft thread, each weft thread being associated with a suction chamber and the respective suction chamber being able to be provided to the respective weft thread by means of a movable element.
  • scissors is understood here to mean any type of suitable separating device; it may, for example, also be a thermal separating device such as a melting wire device or a laser separating device.
  • a preferred embodiment of the invention relates to a device for weaving with two Weft threads.
  • the movable element has a provided in the interior of the suction chamber block pivoting flap.
  • the suction chamber block is divided into two suction chambers.
  • Each of the suction chambers is assigned to one of the two weft threads.
  • Another aspect of the invention relates to the controlled movement of the switchable pivoting flap.
  • this movement is synchronized with the movements of Hinreicheimplantationn.
  • Hinreicheimplantation each to be inserted weft thread is moved into the path of the retracting in the direction of the shed gripper so that the gripper can capture and register the correct weft safely. It is important that the weft thread not to be inserted is kept completely out of the path of the retracting gripper, so that there are no collisions between unwanted weft threads and elements of the gripper.
  • a separating lever is preferably arranged pivotably near the suction opening of the suction chambers.
  • the release lever is actuated substantially synchronously with the pivoting flap, so that the two weft thread ends are securely seized and held separately.
  • a further preferred embodiment of the invention comprises a movably arranged suction chamber block with a plurality of suction chambers. After cutting off the inserted weft thread, the end of the coil-side weft thread part of the associated suction chamber is supplied by the entire suction chamber block is moved so that the weft thread to be detected of the associated suction chamber provided.
  • the movable element is part of a drive for the Saughuntblock. This drive can be, for example, an electric motor drive. Via a signal transmitting line, the drive is connected to a weaving machine control, which controls in this way the movements of the movable element and thus of the suction chamber block.
  • each suction chamber is purposefully moved toward the weft thread associated with it in order to separate the weft thread part on the coil side after cutting off the inserted weft thread from the other weft threads. In this way, each weft is detected and held separately from a suction chamber. Hooking of the weft ends is thereby prevented.
  • a preferred embodiment of the movably arranged suction chamber block is a pivotally arranged suction chamber block with a further preferred circular or niksegmentförmigem cross section, which is divided into a plurality of circular segment-shaped suction chambers.
  • the movable member may be, for example, the rotor shaft of an electromotive rotary drive, wherein the axis of rotation of the rotor shaft is arranged in a plane perpendicular to the circular or circular segment-shaped cross-section and extending through the center of the circle or the circle segments.
  • the suction chambers can also be individually controlled with suction air acted upon. In combination with additional mechanical holding means, it is then possible to reduce the required amount of suction air by the individual suction chambers are acted upon for a limited time only for detecting the weft thread ends with a higher volume flow of suction air. Thereafter, the thread can be kept, for example, by a smaller volume flow of suction. In particular, when weaving with a large number of weft colors, this design has an advantageous effect on the air consumption.
  • the invention can also be combined with an insertion device.
  • the fabric edge formed after the cutting of the inserted weft thread is formed by inserting the fabric-side weft thread end in the re-opened for the next weft insertion shed into an insertion edge.
  • FIG. 1 The arrangement shown shows the withdrawn from the coils 1 and 2 and held ready for weft insertion weft threads 3 and 4.
  • the Hinreicheopathy 7, 8 either move one of the two weft threads 3, 4 substantially in the vertical direction in the horizontally arranged track 5 of the gripper. 6
  • the gripper 6 moves on the track 5 in the entry direction indicated by the arrow 36 into the shed formed by the warp threads 32.
  • the suction chamber block 10 is arranged between the gripper 6 and the shed formed from the warp threads 32.
  • the essential parts of the suction chamber block are the housing 19, which is in the FIG. 1 is shown without a lid, so that arranged in the suction chamber block upper suction chamber 12 and a pivoting flap 11 are visible.
  • the pivoting flap 11 separates the interior of the suction chamber block in the upper suction chamber 12 and a lower suction chamber 13.
  • the lower suction chamber 13 is not visible in this view, because it is located under the upper suction chamber 12 and is covered by the pivoting flap 11.
  • the pivoting flap 11 is mounted so pivotable about the axis of rotation 16 in the suction chamber block that, depending on its pivotal position, the suction port 30 largely for the upper suction chamber 12 or for the lower Suction chamber 13 releases.
  • a separating lever 14 is arranged on the suction chamber block 10. At the front end of the separating lever 14 separating fingers are arranged with intermediate guide grooves. In each guide a weft thread 3, 4 is guided in each case.
  • the separation lever 14 is pivotally mounted about the rotation axis 15 on the housing 19 of the suction chamber block.
  • the separating lever 14 is drive-connected via a mechanical linkage consisting of the levers 17, 18 and a plurality of deflecting elements, in such a way connected to the axis of rotation 16 of the pivoting flap 11, that the separating lever 14 forcibly moves synchronously with the pivoting flap 11.
  • a drive of the pivoting flap 11 is not shown in the figures.
  • An advantageous, simple embodiment provides an electrical rotary drive rotatably connected to the rotational axis 16. This rotary drive is preferably signal-transmitting connected to the control of the loom, so that the pivoting flap 11 is driven driven. About the linkage 17, 18 and the release lever 14 is driven synchronously with the pivoting flap 11.

  • the continuously moving gripper 6 pulls out the end of the weft thread 3 from the lower suction chamber 13 of the suction chamber block 10 and transports the weft thread 3 into the shed.
  • a receiving gripper arranged on the opposite side of the gripper 6 moves back out of the shed into its original position, while the gripper rapier pulls the weft thread 3 through the whole shed.
  • the suction chamber block 10 is arranged near the track of the gripper 6, so that when detecting the weft thread 3 to be introduced only a shortest possible weft end protrudes on the gripper 6. This projecting weft thread end forms on the extension side of the fabric 34 a thread drop and should therefore be as short as possible.
  • An actively operated gripper clamp allows a very short projecting weft end by the gripper clamp is closed only when the gripper 6 on the way in the direction of the shed the minimum distance to Suction chamber block 10 has.
  • the weft thread 3 coming from a bobbin 3 is clamped at least so tightly by means of a thread clamp, not shown, between the bobbin 1 and the suction element 7, that no weft thread 3 is drawn from the bobbin 1 during withdrawal of the weft thread end from the suction chamber block 10 becomes. That is, the clamping force of the thread clamp must be greater than the holding force of the Saugkammemblocks 10th
  • the weft thread 3 After the weft 3 has been completely retracted into the shed, it is struck by the reed 31 to the binding line 33.
