Abstract

A spiral inner wall (114) has a wall clearance from a casing (101) fitted with an inlet (102) and forms a ring chamber (105) with the casing's inner wall (113). The ring chamber maintains a link to an upper overflow (115) formed by the spiral inner wall so as to flow into a drain chamber (106) with drain connection pieces directed outwards.

Description

The invention relates to an odor trap according to the preamble of claim 1. Such odor traps are arranged in or behind a drain line behind sanitary facilities, such as shower trays, bathtubs, sinks, sinks or as floor drains. By virtue of their construction, such devices retain a level of water which seals the connected equipment from gases originating in the sewer.

Is known from the FR 2 791 372 A1 an odor trap called a siphon, which can only be placed directly under the appropriate sanitary facility, for example at the outlet of a washbasin. It consists of a pot-like housing, on the upper open side of a mounting flange is provided with which such an odor trap can be directly attached below the corresponding sanitary system. In this cup-shaped housing, a spiral-shaped inner wall with a distance from the wall is arranged, which separates an upwardly open inlet chamber from a drain chamber formed inside the inner wall, which communicates with a discharge nozzle, which is to be connected to the drainage string of the sewer system. This inner wall forms an annular space with an upper overflow from the inlet chamber to the drain chamber. With this construction, it is achieved that when running water from a sanitary system always serving as an odor trap water level in the housing is maintained up to the height of the overflow. Compared to U-shaped siphons this trap has the possibility of lower construction heights for the same drainage cross sections. Such an advantage is particularly important if such an odor trap in a floor structure z. B. is to be accommodated under a shower tray and only a small height is available.

However, the reduction possibilities with regard to the structural height of an odor trap formed in this way are due to the necessary annular space in a housing and the inlet chamber only limited to ensure adequate flow cross sections. In addition, with minimized corresponding cross-sectional conditions the risk that the odor trap with its water level forming annular space is sucked empty in such an odor trap because of the small amount of water at low pressure in the drainage strand, so that an odor trap is no longer effective.

The object of the invention is to propose an odor trap of the aforementioned type which, taking into account the required minimum passage cross-sections permits a lower construction height and which can additionally provide increased safety against a risk of empty suction due to negative pressure in the drainage line.

The object is achieved with an odor trap with the features of claim 1. In contrast to the prior art, such an inventive odor trap uses the possibility of usually available in the floor structure width and length dimension, so that the height dimension is limited to a minimum can be. Instead of a pot-like housing of the odor trap according to the invention uses an elongated channel piece, which may for example have an oval cross section or a rectangular cross section.

Such an odor trap according to the invention can have both an end-side connection which can be installed with a corresponding shaped piece in the immediate vicinity of the sanitary facility or a floor inlet. But it is also directly executable as channel-like channel piece according to claim 7 and the following claims and can be mounted on the drainage string. Such an odor trap can thus also be used as an elongated drainage channel z. B. be used as a floor drain or on a sanitary object with a slot-like drain opening.

To accommodate a bottom inlet grille or for attachment to a sanitary object serve mounting flanges, where also sealing materials can be applied. The mounting flange may be equipped with holes or other fasteners.

To increase the odor trap serving residual water volume in the apparatus according to claim 5 and the reduction of the suction at a negative pressure is proposed according to claim 4, to expand the annulus from the lowest point to the overflow to prevent a vacuuming under vacuum. Also, this enlargement uses the width dimension, the construction height of such an odor trap is not changed.

By a barrier bar, a minimum water storage space of the annular space can be formed.

With the FIGS. 1 to 4 an odor trap is shown, which is attached to either a drain line z. B. can be connected as a floor drain or directly with an elbow on a sanitary system, such as sink, bathtub, shower tray, bottom drain or the like, the height of construction must be only slightly larger than that Diameter of the drainage line, so that such odor traps are particularly suitable for installation in a floor in which only a small height is available or z. B. under vanities to create as much space for base cabinets or the like. It consists of a trained in the manner of a channel piece housing 1 with an approximately oval outer cross-section. The housing on the inflow end end wall 11 is penetrated by the inlet nozzle 2, which is to be connected to the sanitary system or a bottom inlet. The downstream end wall 12 has laterally off-axis the drain pipe 3. At a distance from the housing inner wall or the channel wall 13, a spiral inner wall 14 is provided in its interior, with which an annular space 5 is formed. This upwardly open spiral inner wall 14 forms an overflow 15 to the interior of the inner wall 14 and thus to a drain chamber 6, which is connected to the outlet pipe 3. The two inlet via the inlet pipe 2 wastewater passes through the inlet chamber 4 to the annulus 5 and after reaching the overflow 15 in the drain chamber 6 and is discharged from there via the outlet pipe 3 in the connection drain line. In the annular space 5 remains after appropriate feed serving as an odor trap water level, which is determined by the height of the overflow 15. In order to ensure a sufficient residual water level at any negative pressure in the subsequent drainage line, a ring 5 limiting continuous web 16 is arranged parallel to the spiral inner wall 14 in the longitudinal direction with a height H, which is greater than the height h of the annular space at the lowest point.

The FIGS. 5 and 6 show an odor trap in the manner of a channel-like channel piece 101 with the end walls 111 and 112. In this channel piece 101, which may be provided with additional outer side walls and a footing surface, inside a wall-spaced spiral wall 114 is disposed, which has an annular space 105th forms. This gutter-like channel piece can be used directly in the bottom of a sanitary facility, such as a floor-level shower as Bodenablaufrinne or under a sanitary part with slit-shaped drain. The effluent water enters via the slot 102 in the inlet chamber 104, which may be widened in width, and from there via the annular space 105 and the overflow 115 to Drain chamber 106. Can be attached this channel piece 101 with molded-on side mounting flanges 116 under a sanitary part by appropriate fasteners. When used as a floor drain of the mounting flange 116 can serve as a support surface for an inlet grate and for embedding in thin-bed mortar, including the mounting flange can be equipped with perforations at regular intervals, so that the protruding legs can be anchored under tiles in the thin bed process. The mounting flange also serves to receive sealing means.

Even with this construction, the annular space 105 formed between the channel wall 113 and the inner wall 114 can continuously expand from the lowest point to the overflow 115, in order to increase the volume of water which serves the odor trap.
