Description

The invention relates to a cell-shaped, inflatable component, having the following features:
  • it has in-plane rectilinear page boundaries,
  • all page boundaries are the same length,
  • it has a cavity,
  • the cavity is bounded by a deformable, thin-walled membrane,
  • the diaphragm, which is provided with a valve, is the outer boundary of the component,
  • wherein at the side boundaries are provided approximately over the length thereof extending connecting means for establishing a connection with an adjacent component, and a kit of such components and objects formed therefrom.

An inflatable component of this kind is for example from the US 2,934,075 A known. These known components are deformed barrel-shaped when inflated. By juxtaposing and superimposing these components, spatial structures can be designed, wherein overlapping edges of adjacent components ensure watertightness. These overlapping edges can also be glued together. For the formation of spatial objects, the components are spherical. This requires a complex production, different components of spherical shape must be used for different sized objects, which in turn makes a production, warehousing, etc. very expensive and difficult assembly to a spatial structure, especially not only a precise planning, but also an exact Compliance with a blueprint is required.

Dokument FR 2499126A beschreibt ein aufblasbares Bauelement nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.document FR 2499126A describes an inflatable component according to the preamble of claim 1.

The invention aims to avoid these disadvantages and difficulties and has as its object to further develop a device of the type described above, to the effect that it is easy to produce, that it for objects of different dimensions - formed from a plurality of such components - universal can be used, and that there is no barrel-shaped or cushion-shaped bulge, which would make it difficult to join such components with their edges.

This object is achieved in that
  • is provided in the cavity at least one deformable, thin-walled and over about the height of the device (1, 1 ', 1 ", 1''') extending intermediate membrane (7),
  • which extends approximately perpendicular to the plane and which connects the membranes (3, 4) of the component (1, 1 ', 1 ", 1''') extending essentially in the direction of the plane,
  • the membrane (3, 4) is formed along the peripheral side boundaries of cylinder segments and at the corners of cones
  • while the flat central part is held in shape by the tensioned intermediate membranes (7).

For joining adjacent components, each component preferably has side edges as projecting edge flanges or edge strips.

For forming large-area objects, a component is preferably characterized in that its height is less than its largest dimension perpendicular to the height and that it extends in a plane.

Suitably, the device is characterized in that the membrane is formed by a film, preferably of a PVC or polyurethane film.

As desired, the membrane may be made transparent and / or translucent and / or opaque and / or reflective.

To increase the resistance, the membrane is expediently coated on the outside, preferably by means of a granulate.

For the purpose of universal usability for objects of different sizes, a regular geometric figure, such as an equilateral triangle, a square, an equilateral pentagon, an equilateral hexagon, etc., is preferably formed from the lateral boundaries of the component.

For connecting adjacent components clamping rails and / or zippers are provided expediently.

A preferred variant is characterized in that at a side boundary two equal length, but not more than half the length of a side boundary
extending zippers are provided, one of which can close from one side and the other from the other side with a zipper of an adjacent device of the same type.

According to a further variant, a sliding closure is provided as connecting means.

Preferably, in addition to a connecting means a sliding closure is provided, whereby a waterproofness is ensured.

Of course, can be provided as connecting means with an adjacent component welding or adhesive flanges.

Preferably, the component is characterized in that in the cavity at a uniform distance from the side boundaries intermediate membranes are provided, the configuration of which corresponds to the side boundaries.

A kit of components of this kind is characterized in that it comprises components that have regular geometric figures with different numbers of corners in the floor plan, the side boundaries of all components are the same length.

The invention also includes objects formed from two or more components as described above, preferably formed by a kit as indicated, wherein in particular an object formed by the components encloses a space.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to several embodiments shown in the drawing. The Fig. 1 to 4 each represent a component in an oblique view. On the basis of Figs. 5A to 5G the production of a component is explained in more detail. The FIGS. 6, 7 and 8 show objects composed of several components each in the oblique view, the Fig. 6A a detail of Fig. 6 illustrated on an enlarged scale. Fig. 9 shows a variant of assembled components, Fig. 9A a detail on an enlarged scale. Likewise shows Fig. 10 another variant of assembled components, where also Fig. 10A illustrates a detail of the connection of adjacent components. Fig. 11 shows the side edge of a component in view with another variant as a connecting means, Fig. 11A turn a detail of Fig. 11 , also on an enlarged scale. The FIGS. 12 and 12A show in too 11 and 11A analogous representation of another variant.

How out Fig. 1 can be seen, the component 1 shown there is formed in plan view as an equilateral triangle. It is essential that the side boundaries 2 of the component 1 are rectilinear. It is formed by two diaphragms 3, 4 glued together at the edge, formed as flexible foils, and having a membrane (not shown) Valve for introducing a medium, in particular for inflation provided. The film 3 or 4 is preferably formed by a PVC or polyurethane film. However, it is also conceivable to use a coated fabric as a membrane. Depending on the requirement for light transmission, shading or reflection, the membranes 3, 4 are transparent, translucent, opaque and / or reflective. To increase the resistance to damage, the membrane 3 or 4 is coated on the outside, for example by means of granules, formed of glass beads, of sand, etc. The membranes 3, 4 can of course also be colored. Dyeing is also possible by filling the cavity of the device with special media.

The glued together edges 5, 6 of the two films 3, 4 serve, as will be explained later, for connection to an adjacent component 1. The component 1 has a median plane which extends through the rectilinear side boundaries 2. To comply with the extension of the device 1 in a plane intermediate membranes 7 are provided, and preferably in a configuration which corresponds to the side boundaries 2, but spaced therefrom. So form according to Fig. 1 the intermediate membranes 7 also in plan the shape of an equilateral triangle. The intermediate membranes 7 extend over the height 8 of the component 1, being determined by these intermediate membranes 7 in about the maximum height 8, ie thickness 8, of the component 1 - apart from slight bulges of the membranes 3, 4 next to the intermediate membranes 7 It can be seen that the maximum thickness or height of the component is substantially less than its planar extent.

The side boundaries 2, on which the membranes 3, 4 are welded or glued together, form protruding edge flanges or edge strips. Based on Figs. 5A to 5G is the production of in Fig. 1 in the oblique view illustrated component 1 explained in more detail. The Fig. 5A shows the membrane blank 9 of one of the two membranes 3 and 4, which form the outer skin of the component 1, and the parts used as intermediate membranes 7. Fig. 5B illustrates the insertion of the intermediate membranes 7 between the upper and lower the outer skin of the device forming membranes 3, 4, wherein the intermediate membranes 7 with the membranes 3, 4 preferably glued or welded.

Dies zeigt Fig. 5E.According to Fig. 5C - This is essential to the invention - are the corners 10 of the blank of the membranes 3, 4 folded so that linear side boundaries 2 are formed and still a cavity in the component 1 is ensured. These folded corners 10 are according to Fig. 5D welded together to corner lugs 11, and it is too far projecting part of the welded corners 10 is cut off. this shows Fig. 5E ,

The remaining corner lugs 11 are according to Fig. 5F folded over and welded to the outer edge of the membranes 3, 4, whereupon the edges of the membranes 3, 4 are welded together. Subsequently, for connecting to an adjacent film element according to Fig. 5G the hereby formed as edge flanges or edge strips side boundaries 2 with eyelets 12, which serve to connect to an adjacent component 1, are provided.

Conventional inflatable components often have wrinkles and bumps because pressurized air of the enveloping membrane imposes a shape that allows an absolutely even pressure distribution inside regardless of the intended shape.

The components of this invention are characterized in that they are absolutely wrinkle-free in the inflated state and have exactly the desired geometry for the side boundaries 2. This is achieved by virtue of the fact that the component geometry is composed of individual geometrical basic bodies which would in any case correspond to the self-form finding process of the compressed air; namely cylinder segments along the peripheral side boundaries and cones in the corners, while the flat central portion is held in shape by the tensioned intermediate membranes 7.

This in Fig. 5A illustrated pattern is characterized in that it reflects the unwinding surfaces of this determined optimized geometry, wherein in the corner regions 10, a folding of the membranes to triangular corner lugs 11 is required to give the desired unwinding surface.

Like from the Fig. 2 to 4 can be seen, can components 1 ', 1'',1''' of this type with a floor plan as a square, as a regular pentagon and form as a regular hexagon. The greater the extent of the component 1 ', 1'',1''' in a plane, the more intermediate membranes 7 should be used to keep the component 1 ', 1 ", 1''' flat.

The FIGS. 6, 7 and 8 show objects that are formed by a plurality of components 1 ', 1'',1''', wherein the objects are made of identical or different, ie components 1 ', 1'',1''' with different Eckanzahlen, may be formed. As in particular from Fig. 8 can be seen, the object of a kit of components 1 ', 1'',1''' is formed, wherein all components are formed by regular polygons, the rectilinear side boundaries 2 are all the same length.

Fig. 6A shows an embodiment of a corner 13 of an object, on the three components 1 ''',1''' and 1 "abutting. The connection of the components with the respective adjacent component by means of terminal strips 14, which in more detail in detail Figs. 9A and 10A are illustrated. The side edges 2 forming edge strips of adjacent components 1, 1 ', 1'',1''' are pressed against each other by means of two terminal strips 14, wherein the fixing of the terminal strips 14 by means of bolts 15, which the terminal strips 14 and the edge strips. 2 enforce provided eyelets 12. Here, the eyelets 12 of the edge strips 2 of the adjacent components 1, 1 ', 1'',1''' for accurate alignment of the adjacent components 1, 1 ', 1'',1''' to each other. To seal the corner areas, to which the clamping rails can not quite reach, serve adhesive tapes 16.

According to the in the Fig. 11 and 12 illustrated embodiments are used for connecting adjacent components 1, 1 ', 1'',1''' commercial zippers 17. These are attached to the edge strips 2 by sewing, welding or gluing. Preferably, there are divisible exchangeable zippers 17 with counted teeth, so that the zipper halves of the respective components 1, 1 ', 1'',1''' also fit together arbitrarily. The length a of such a divisible zipper 17 is in each case almost half the length of the side boundary 2. Starting from one end of the side boundary 2, that zipper half on which the slider 18 is located is attached towards the middle. The other zipper half is rotated 180 ° and in turn attached from the other end of the side boundary 2 toward the center. The zipper slider 18 are thus always pushed from the end to the middle.

Thus, all side boundaries 2 are the same, and it always come together each matching zipper halves, regardless of how the components 1, 1 ', 1' ', 1' '' positioned to each other.

In the case of structures comprising a plurality of components 1, 1 ', 1'',1''', the greatest tensile forces occur at the ends of the side boundaries 2. To minimize this punctually high tension, is the zipper tape 19 of each zipper 17 a little longer than the toothed chain 20. As a result, the punctual load is partially derived on the tape excess length.

Thus, the tensile stress is evenly distributed within the toothed chain 20, the zipper is not exactly positioned parallel to the side boundary 2, but in each case before the ends of the side boundary 2 from the component 1, 1 ', 1' ', 1' '' leading away light Bow 21 on. As a result, the material expansions of the membranes 3, 4 are reduced in this area.

It is also possible to provide slide fasteners 22 instead of the zippers. According to the presentation of the Fig. 12 are Gleitverschlussbänder 23 of a slide fastener 22 in addition to a zipper 17, whereby a good tightness between adjacent components 1, 1 ', 1'',1''' can be achieved.

As Fig. 8 can recognize, as a kit existing components 1, 1 ', 1'',1''' in a variety of forms to total objects of almost unlimited size are joined together.

The compatibility of the individual components 1, 1 ', 1' ', 1' '' is ensured by their common edge length - preferably of about 150 cm. The stability of an object is achieved either in that the components 1, 1 ', 1' ', 1' '' shell-shaped joined together, or that transverse ribs according to the ceiling-beam principle stiffen the construction. If the diaphragm of a component 1, 1 ', 1' ', 1' '' is mechanically damaged at one point, the other components 1, 1 ', 1' ', 1' '' continue to carry the construction in association, and that defective component can be replaced as in the cell assembly of a biological organism.
