Definitions
- the invention relates to a pencil sharpener for sharpening a pin, in particular a cosmetic pencil.
- a sharpener is usually used to sharpen the lead of a pen and thereby peel off a possibly existing mine envelope in the area of the pen tip.
- a sharpener comprises an approximately cuboidal or wedge-shaped sharpener body, in which a substantially circular conical pointed cone is introduced as a guide for the pen tip such that its lateral surface approximately touches an outer surface of the sharpener body. In the vicinity of this tangent, the pointed cone is opened via a chip ejection slot to the adjacent outer surface of the sharpener body.
- a sharpener further comprises a paring knife, which is attached tangentially with respect to the lateral surface of the pointed cone on the sharpener body and protrudes with a cutting edge in the chip ejection slot, so that upon rotation of a pin inserted into the tapered cone with respect to the sharpener body by the cutting edge of the peeling knife a chip of lifted off the pen.
- sharpener units each with a sharpener body and a paring knife attached thereto are integrated into a unit.
- the sharpener units of such a multi-point sharpener are usually designed differently with respect to the diameter of the pin guide channel or the opening angle of the pointed cone in order to be able to sharpen pins of different diameters and / or to peel different tip shapes.
- the substantially cuboidal sharpener body are provided at its longitudinal side walls with complementary projections or depressions.
- the projections or depressions in this case allow the mating of several pen sharpeners and thus their combination into a multiple sharpener.
- Pencil sharpeners for sharpening cosmetic pencils which are usually provided with a comparatively soft, plastic lead, often have, in addition to the peeling knife, a so-called lead shaper which, during the sharpening process, forms the lead mass projecting in the region of the pencil tip into a predetermined, in particular rounded tip.
- a so-called lead shaper which, during the sharpening process, forms the lead mass projecting in the region of the pencil tip into a predetermined, in particular rounded tip.
- Known pencil sharpeners are provided a plurality of different shaped mortar shaper, which are arranged on a carousel-like adjustment mechanism and can be brought alternatively by turning the adjusting mechanism with the pin guide channel in engagement.
- the invention has for its object to provide a manufacturing technology particularly favorable pen sharpener, which should still be flexible and / or easy to handle handling.
- the pencil sharpener comprises at least two sharpener units, each of which has a sharpener body and a paring knife fastened thereto.
- the sharpener bodies of adjacent sharpener units are spread over a filmstrip, i. a thin compared to each sharpener body and thus flexible strip of material, which acts like a film hinge as a predetermined bending point or predetermined breaking point, integrally connected.
- the inventive compound of the plurality of sharpener units through one or more film strips is advantageous in several respects.
- the connected sharpener body in a single operation in particular a Injection molding, are made simple and inexpensive, while ensuring a high degree of flexibility in terms of the later use of sharpener units.
- the sharpener units can be easily separated in a subsequent step and used as a single sharpener with or without Spagginggeophuse.
- an advantageous use variant is alternatively provided to use the sharpener units in the connected state as a multiple sharpener, wherein the assembly formed from the sharpener units is preferably used as a whole in a common chip collecting housing.
- the film strips make it possible in this case to fold the assembly formed from the sharpener units, and thus to insert the sharpener units in mutually tilted state in the chip collecting housing, one and the same unit of sharpener units can be adapted in a very simple manner to a variety of different housing shapes.
- the self-stabilizing composite of the sharpener units in this case in particular allows the realization of particularly compact and structurally simple housing forms and easy to betechnikstelligende mounting the sharpener units in the chip-housing.
- sharpener units are expediently folded in the same direction against each other, so that the structural unit in cross-section approximately forms the outline of a polygon or polygon segment.
- the sharpener units are folded together to form a uniform polygon - in the case of three contiguous sharpener units, ie to form an equilateral triangle.
- each sharpener body comprises a guide sleeve having a bore defining a pin guide channel for a pin to be sharpened, to the outer circumference of this guide sleeve at least one (in comparison to the outer diameter of the guide sleeve) flat supporting wing is formed, which protrudes in cross-section (ie viewed along the axis of the pin guide channel of the tip units) approximately radially from the guide sleeve.
- Adjacent sharpener units are in this case connected to each other at the adjacent outer edges of each support wing.
- each sharpener unit is reduced to the essential, so that the sharpener body is nevertheless realized in a particularly material-saving manner with high stability compared with the torsional forces occurring during the sharpening process.
- the shaping described above enables a particularly compact configuration of the sharpener units.
- each sharpener body comprises two oppositely formed to the guide sleeve integrally formed support wings, so that each sharpener body occupies about the shape of a wing nut in cross section through the guide sleeve.
- the two support wings are combined in an expedient development in a space spaced from the guide sleeve end, so that the support wings with the guide nut form a particularly advantageous under stability closed support frame.
- the guide sleeve for the different sharpener units of the same structural unit is designed differently, so that the pin guide channels defined by the bore of the respective guide sleeve differ in their diameter and / or in the cone angle of their respective pointed cone.
- the different sharpener units differ in the design of a refiner associated with the respective sharpener unit.
- the assembly comprises three sharpener units, of which a first sharpener unit does not have a former, while the second and third sharpener unit has associated therewith refiner blades which round off the penpoint tip to different degrees.
- the bore defining the pin guide channel or each sharpener body passes through the associated guide sleeve completely, so that the pin guide channel protrudes beyond both axial ends of the guide sleeve.
- the guide sleeve is designed such that a pin inserted in the pointed position fully penetrates the guide sleeve and protrudes beyond the guide sleeve at least with part of its pin tip through an outlet end of the bore.
- a knife holder is expediently integrally formed on the guide sleeve, which projects axially beyond the outlet end of the bore provided in the guide sleeve.
- the knife holder flanks the pin guide channel here on one side, so that the pin guide channel is open to a side facing away from the knife holder side.
- the largely open configuration of the pin guide channel in the area of the knife holder, and thus with inserted pin in the area of the pen tip, has the advantage that scraped off during the sharpening process mining mass can easily fall off the knife holder. This is a particularly typical for cosmetic pencils problem that the usually soft and plastic mine mass for these pins clumped during the sharpening process on the knife holder and smeared the pin at the continued tips, particularly effectively counteracted.
- Fig. 1 shows the sharpener body 2 made of plastic or metal and a peeler blade 3 fastened on the sharpener body 2.
- the sharpener body 2 in turn comprises a guide sleeve 4, a blade holder 5 molded onto it and two support wings 6 and 7 formed on the guide sleeve 4.
- the guide sleeve 4 is from a central bore 8 ( Fig. 3 ), which supports a pin S to be sharpened during the sharpening process and thus a pin guide channel 9 (FIG. Fig. 3 ) Are defined.
- the pin guide channel 9 thus denotes the volume occupied by the pin S to be sharpened in the pointed position inside and outside of the guide sleeve 4. Outside the guide sleeve 4, the pin guide channel 9 is given by the mental extension of the wall of the bore 8 on the guide sleeve 4 addition.
- the guide sleeve 4 and in particular its bore 8 have an insertion end 10, on which a pin S to be sharpened is to be introduced into the bore 8 in the course of the sharpening operation.
- the exit end 11 axially opposite end of the guide sleeve 4 and the bore 8, to which the pen tip of the pin S in pointed position protrudes out of the guide sleeve 4 is referred to as the exit end 11.
- the bore 8 is cylindrical, i. especially with a constant diameter. This cylindrical portion 12 serves to ensure good guidance of the pin S along an axis 13 of the pin guide channel 9.
- the bore 8 tapers towards the outlet end 11 conically. This conical portion 14 of the bore 8 serves as a stop for the axial fixation of the pin S in the pointed position.
- the guide sleeve 4 has an outer circumference 15, which can in principle be shaped as desired. In the illustrated embodiments, however, the outer periphery 15 of the guide sleeve 4 is always circular.
- the knife holder 5 has, as in particular from the FIGS. 2 and 3 can be seen, essentially the shape of a wedge whose horizontal surface 16 (FIG. Fig. 3 ) is aligned at a small distance parallel to the axis 13 of the pin guide channel 9.
- the inclined surface of the wedge shape forms a bearing surface 17 (FIG. Fig. 3 ) on which the paring knife 3 is positioned at an angle with respect to the axis 13.
- the support surface 17 is for this purpose in particular surrounded on its side facing away from the axis 13 edge with a rail-like positioning aid 18 to which the paring knife 3 is applied.
- the paring knife 3 is oriented in this position such that its cutting edge 19 forms an axis 13 approximately intersecting line.
- the paring knife 3 is fixed by means of a fastening screw 20 on the support surface 17.
- the knife holder 5 is arranged with its central longitudinal axis offset parallel to the axis 13, so that its wedge tip 21 is remote from the guide sleeve 4, and the wedge tip 21 opposite wedge base 22 corresponding to the guide sleeve 4 faces.
- the knife holder 5 overlaps in the region of the wedge base 22 with the guide sleeve 4 in an axial region which exceeds the axial length of the conical portion 14 of the guide sleeve 4. This overlap ensures that the pin S is peeled clean to its outer periphery.
- the guide sleeve 4 is provided with a chip ejection slot 23 into which the cutting edge 19 of the peeling knife 3 protrudes.
- the knife holder 5 protrudes beyond the outlet end 11 of the guide sleeve 4. In this area, the knife holder 5 flanks the pin guide channel 9 only on one side, while the pin guide channel 9 is not limited in the rest of the circumferential angle range outwards, so that when peeling the paring knife 3 and the pin guide channel 9 filling pen S hang quasi freely in space.
- the pin guide channel 9 is surrounded only in a circumferential angular range of slightly more than 90 ° of the knife holder 5 and the paring knife 3.
- the pin guide channel 9 is open towards the outside, so that chip waste and peeled lead mass can fall freely from the peeling blade 3 and the knife holder 5.
- Each support wing 6 and 7 is formed in a neck region 24 on the outer circumference 15 of the guide sleeve 4 and protrudes from there - viewed in cross section along the axis 13 - radially from the guide sleeve 4 from.
- the two support wings 6 and 7 are arranged in particular at mutually opposite circumferential regions of the guide sleeve 4, so that the sharpener body 2 has approximately the shape of a wing nut.
- Each support wing 6,7 has a small thickness compared to the diameter of the guide sleeve 4 and an elongate, flat shape whose longitudinal extent is aligned parallel to the axis 13. Starting from the attachment region 24, each support wing 6, 7 extends axially in the direction of the exit end 11 and beyond. The support wings 6, 7 thus flank the knife holder 5 and the paring knife 3 in the axial direction.
- the knife holder 5 is optionally integrated in the support wing 6.
- the support wings 6, 7 are brought together and joined together in one piece.
- the support wings 6.7 thus form a substantially rectangular, closed support frame 31, in which the guide sleeve 4 and optionally also the knife holder 5 are integrated.
- an embodiment of the pencil sharpener 1 comprises three sharpener units 30, 31 and 32 each having a sharpener body 2 and a peeling blade 3 mounted thereon, each sharpening unit 30, 31, 32 being constructed according to the construction principle described above.
- the sharpener units 30,31 and 32 are provided for sharpening different thickness pins S and differ accordingly - as from Fig. 5 can be seen - in the diameter of the respective guide sleeve 4, and in this case also in particular in the diameter of the respectively introduced into the guide sleeve 4 bore. 8
- the sharpener bodies 2 of the sharpener units 30, 31, 32 are arranged parallel to one another in such a way that the support wing 7 of the sharpener unit 30 and the support wing 6 of the sharpener unit 31 or the support wing 7 of the sharpener unit 31 and the support wing 6 of the sharpener unit 32 with their respective outer edges 33 ( Fig. 5 ) are next to each other.
- the adjoining sharpener units 30 and 31 or 31 and 32 are in each case by a thin film strip 34 ( Fig. 5 ), which is spanned between the outer edges 33 of each abutting support wings 6.7.
- the sharpener units 30,31 and 32 are aligned colinearly with respect to the spanned by their support wings 6,7 level and hang over the film strip 34 integrally together.
- the pencil sharpener 1 can now be used on the one hand in this raw state.
- the pencil sharpener 1 can also be separated or folded along the film strips 34 in order to use the individual sharpener units 30, 31, 32 separately from one another or to save the sharpener units 30, 31, 32 in a chip-trapping housing 35 a, 35 b, 35 c (FIGS. Fig. 6 or 7).
- the film strips 34 act as a predetermined separation point, along which the sharpener units 30, 31, 32 can simply be cut off or torn off.
- the film strips 34 act in the manner of a film hinge as a predetermined bending point, which makes it possible to tilt the sharpener units 30,31 and 32 non-destructive and reversible against each other.
- the foldability of the assembly formed from the contiguous sharpener units 30,31, and 32 makes it possible to flexibly adapt the same assembly as a whole to chip-trapping housings 35a, 35b, 35c of different shape.
- Fig. 6 shows the sharpener units 30,31,32 in a convolution adapted to a flat housing 35a.
- the sharpener units 30, 31, 32 are here alternately in opposite directions, ie in a "zig-zag", folded against each other.
- Fig. 7 In an alternative arrangement according to Fig. 7 The sharpener units 30, 31, 32 are folded together in cross-section approximately to form an equilateral triangle (and therefore in particular in the same direction as one another). This very compact folding is suitable for everyone - as in Fig. 7 is indicated - to use the sharpener units 30,31,32 in a chip-collecting housing 35b with a round cross-section or a chip-trapping housing 35c with hexagonal cross-section.

Description
The invention relates to a pencil sharpener for sharpening a pin, in particular a cosmetic pencil.
A sharpener is usually used to sharpen the lead of a pen and thereby peel off a possibly existing mine envelope in the area of the pen tip. Conventionally, a sharpener comprises an approximately cuboidal or wedge-shaped sharpener body, in which a substantially circular conical pointed cone is introduced as a guide for the pen tip such that its lateral surface approximately touches an outer surface of the sharpener body. In the vicinity of this tangent, the pointed cone is opened via a chip ejection slot to the adjacent outer surface of the sharpener body. A sharpener further comprises a paring knife, which is attached tangentially with respect to the lateral surface of the pointed cone on the sharpener body and protrudes with a cutting edge in the chip ejection slot, so that upon rotation of a pin inserted into the tapered cone with respect to the sharpener body by the cutting edge of the peeling knife a chip of lifted off the pen.
In a so-called multiple sharpener several sharpener units, each with a sharpener body and a paring knife attached thereto are integrated into a unit. The sharpener units of such a multi-point sharpener are usually designed differently with respect to the diameter of the pin guide channel or the opening angle of the pointed cone in order to be able to sharpen pins of different diameters and / or to peel different tip shapes.

The invention has for its object to provide a manufacturing technology particularly favorable pen sharpener, which should still be flexible and / or easy to handle handling.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the features of claim 1. Thereafter, the pencil sharpener comprises at least two sharpener units, each of which has a sharpener body and a paring knife fastened thereto. Here, the sharpener bodies of adjacent sharpener units are spread over a filmstrip, i. a thin compared to each sharpener body and thus flexible strip of material, which acts like a film hinge as a predetermined bending point or predetermined breaking point, integrally connected.
The inventive compound of the plurality of sharpener units through one or more film strips is advantageous in several respects. In particular, the connected sharpener body in a single operation, in particular a Injection molding, are made simple and inexpensive, while ensuring a high degree of flexibility in terms of the later use of sharpener units. Thus, the sharpener units can be easily separated in a subsequent step and used as a single sharpener with or without Spanfanggehäuse. According to an advantageous use variant is alternatively provided to use the sharpener units in the connected state as a multiple sharpener, wherein the assembly formed from the sharpener units is preferably used as a whole in a common chip collecting housing. The film strips make it possible in this case to fold the assembly formed from the sharpener units, and thus to insert the sharpener units in mutually tilted state in the chip collecting housing, one and the same unit of sharpener units can be adapted in a very simple manner to a variety of different housing shapes. The self-stabilizing composite of the sharpener units in this case in particular allows the realization of particularly compact and structurally simple housing forms and easy to bewerkstelligende mounting the sharpener units in the chip-housing.
In order to realize a very compact multiple sharpener, sharpener units are expediently folded in the same direction against each other, so that the structural unit in cross-section approximately forms the outline of a polygon or polygon segment. In a particularly compact and stable insert variant, the sharpener units are folded together to form a uniform polygon - in the case of three contiguous sharpener units, ie to form an equilateral triangle.
Alternatively, it is provided to alternately fold the sharpener units in opposite directions, so that the structural unit forms a "zigzag line" in cross-section. This is particularly advantageous for adapting the assembly to flat housing shapes of different widths.
In a particularly advantageous design of the pencil sharpener, each sharpener body comprises a guide sleeve having a bore defining a pin guide channel for a pin to be sharpened, to the outer circumference of this guide sleeve at least one (in comparison to the outer diameter of the guide sleeve) flat supporting wing is formed, which protrudes in cross-section (ie viewed along the axis of the pin guide channel of the tip units) approximately radially from the guide sleeve. Adjacent sharpener units are in this case connected to each other at the adjacent outer edges of each support wing. In this embodiment, the sharpener body of each sharpener unit is reduced to the essential, so that the sharpener body is nevertheless realized in a particularly material-saving manner with high stability compared with the torsional forces occurring during the sharpening process. At the same time, the shaping described above enables a particularly compact configuration of the sharpener units.
Preferably, each sharpener body comprises two oppositely formed to the guide sleeve integrally formed support wings, so that each sharpener body occupies about the shape of a wing nut in cross section through the guide sleeve. The two support wings are combined in an expedient development in a space spaced from the guide sleeve end, so that the support wings with the guide nut form a particularly advantageous under stability closed support frame.
Preferably, the guide sleeve for the different sharpener units of the same structural unit is designed differently, so that the pin guide channels defined by the bore of the respective guide sleeve differ in their diameter and / or in the cone angle of their respective pointed cone. As an alternative or in addition to this, it is provided that the different sharpener units differ in the design of a refiner associated with the respective sharpener unit. For example, the assembly comprises three sharpener units, of which a first sharpener unit does not have a former, while the second and third sharpener unit has associated therewith refiner blades which round off the penpoint tip to different degrees.
The bore defining the pin guide channel or each sharpener body passes through the associated guide sleeve completely, so that the pin guide channel protrudes beyond both axial ends of the guide sleeve. In other words, the guide sleeve is designed such that a pin inserted in the pointed position fully penetrates the guide sleeve and protrudes beyond the guide sleeve at least with part of its pin tip through an outlet end of the bore. In this embodiment, a knife holder is expediently integrally formed on the guide sleeve, which projects axially beyond the outlet end of the bore provided in the guide sleeve. The knife holder flanks the pin guide channel here on one side, so that the pin guide channel is open to a side facing away from the knife holder side. The largely open configuration of the pin guide channel in the area of the knife holder, and thus with inserted pin in the area of the pen tip, has the advantage that scraped off during the sharpening process mining mass can easily fall off the knife holder. This is a particularly typical for cosmetic pencils problem that the usually soft and plastic mine mass for these pins clumped during the sharpening process on the knife holder and smeared the pin at the continued tips, particularly effectively counteracted.

The
In a
The
The knife holder 5 is arranged with its central longitudinal axis offset parallel to the
In the majority of its axial extension, the knife holder 5 protrudes beyond the outlet end 11 of the
Each
Each
In an
