Abstract

A compressor memory system includes a compressor with a first non-volatile memory connected to a module. The module has a processor and a second non-volatile memory. The first non-volatile memory is associated with the compressor. The module is selectively attached to the compressor and the processor is configured to access the first and second non-volatile memories.
A compressor has a non-volatile memory that stores manufacturing data related to the compressor.
A compressor information network includes a remote module operable to communicate with a plurality of local modules. Each local module includes a processor and a first non-volatile memory associated with the processor. The processor communicates with the first non-volatile memory and the second non-volatile memory associated with a compressor. The remote module includes a database of information copied from the second non-volatile memory.
A warranty administration method includes providing a warranty for a compressor having a non-volatile memory, receiving a claim under the warranty, examining data stored in the non-volatile memory, and responding to the claim based on the examining.
