Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to the makeup of keratinous fibers, in particular eyelashes or eyebrows, and more particularly to a process for making up eyelashes or eyebrows.

We know by the request EP 1 000 607 a makeup process comprising applying a first layer of a composition to keratin materials and then applying a second layer to at least a portion of the first layer.

We know by the request EP 1,516,612 a method of applying mascara to the eyelashes by successively applying two different compositions of mascara to the eyelashes.

We know by the request EP 1 649 777 a process for making eyelashes or eyebrows consisting of makeup eyelashes or eyebrows with a cosmetic product and applying another product on at least one lock of eyelashes or eyebrows.

There is a need to obtain new makeup effects on the eyelashes, for example to deposit mascara more pronounced on only a portion of the eyelash fringe. It may indeed be interesting, to obtain particular makeup effects, to play on contrasting material deposits on disjoint areas of the eyelash fringe, more specifically in terms of differential charges.

It is generally sought to provide, through non-uniform makeup on the same fringe of eyelashes or eyebrows, particular effects capable of changing the look.

The invention therefore relates to a method for making it possible to obtain new makeup effects.

The subject of the present invention is, according to one of its aspects, an eyelash or eyebrow makeup process consisting in generating a first makeup rendering on at least a first portion of the eyelash or eyebrow fringe and a second makeup rendering , different from the first, on at least a second portion of the eyelash or eyebrow fringe, adjacent to the first portion, the eyelash or eyebrow fringe having a first end adjacent to the nose and a second end opposite to the first, the first portion extending at a non-zero distance from the second end, the makeup rendering of the first end being different from the makeup rendering of the second end.

The inventors have found that a greater makeup of a portion of the eyelashes, in particular a large deposit of material on at most one-third of the eyelash fringe, and more particularly, on the outer part of the eyelash fringe, provides a particular makeup result that opens the eye and enlarges the eye, optically modifying the perception of the shape of the eye. Such makeup having a greater material deposit on at most a third of the fringe, on the outside of the fringe, gives an impression of almond eye shape and / or stretched eye, whose outer corner is back ("lifting" effect of the look).

By "first portion" is meant all of the eyelash fringe or an inner portion of the eyelash fringe.

The second portion may represent 1/8 to 1/3, and preferably 1/4 to 1/3 of the total length of the eyelash or eyebrow fringe.

The second portion of the eyelash fringe may be made up by means of a brush or a comb having a plurality of application elements arranged in the form of at least one row.

All the application elements may extend over a support over a distance of between 0.1 cm and 1.5 cm, in particular between 0.1 cm and 1 cm.

The first and second portions may be masked using two different applicators or by means of two separate applicator portions of the same applicator.

For example, the first portion may be made up with a conventional brush or comb and the second portion by means of an applicator comprising application elements arranged on a support in the form of at least one row whose length is such that the application elements can at best contact simultaneously not more than a quarter of the lashes of the fringe.

The use of two different applicators can achieve the desired makeup rendering.

As a variant, the same applicator may comprise two different application zones, one being for example a comb or a brush of conventional type and the other may comprise application elements arranged on a support in a row whose length is such that the application elements can at best contact simultaneously at most a quarter of the eyelashes of the fringe.

The first and second portions may be masked via a deposit of an amount of dry matter on the first portion different from the amount of dry matter deposited on the second portion.

The wax and the surfactant were heated to 90 ° C by homogenizing the mixture with gentle stirring. The heated water was then incorporated at 90 ° C. while stirring. It was cooled to room temperature and ethanol added to give a wax microdispersion having an average particle diameter of about 170 nm.

At least one layer of the composition C1 is applied to the eyelash fringe with the aid of an applicator such as a conventional mascara brush, and then at least one layer of the composition C2 is applied to the outer portion of the eyelashes. In an exemplary embodiment of the makeup method according to the invention, a composition C2 may be applied to the second portion P2 of eyelashes using an applicator belonging to a device 1 shown in FIGS. 2 to 5.

The device 1 comprises a container 2 containing a reserve of a cosmetic composition C2 such as mascara, and an applicator 3 comprising a rod 4 of longitudinal axis X.

The rod 4 is provided at one end with a support 5 having a plurality of application elements 6 and the rod 4 is connected to the end opposite to a closure cap 7 of the container 2 which also constitutes a gripping element .

The closure cap 7 has an unseen internal thread intended to be screwed on the neck 11, threaded externally, of the container 2.

The container 2 comprises, in the example described, a wiper member 8 engaged in the neck 11 and having a wiper lip 9 arranged to dewater the rod 4 and the support 5 provided with the application elements 6.

The wiper member 8 can, if necessary, be arranged in such a way that it can deform in the passage of the application elements 6.

The wiper member 8 may be made by injection molding, for example in a polyolefin.

The container 2 is sealed in the absence of use by screwing the closure cap 7 on the neck 11.

In the example shown, the applicator 3 comprises a comb, the application elements 6 being constituted by teeth. The support 5 extends along a longitudinal axis Y forming with the longitudinal axis X of the rod 4 a non-zero angle α, as illustrated in FIG. 4 in particular. This angle α may be between 5 ° and 45 ° for example.

The application elements 6, six in number for example, are arranged in the example under consideration in a row 10.

The application elements 6 can be located on the support 5 in various configurations.

In the example considered, the application elements 6 extend substantially perpendicular to the Y axis of the support 5.

The free ends 30 of the application members are at a distance from the longitudinal axis Y varying non-monotonously as one moves between the extreme application elements of the row 10, from left to right on the figure 3.

In the illustrated example, the line L connecting the free ends 30 has, when the applicator is viewed from the side, in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the rod 4 and the aforementioned geometric separation surface, as shown in FIG. The application elements 6 extend over the support 5 over a relatively small distance d , in particular a distance d of between 0.1 and 1.5 cm, in particular between 0.1 and 1 cm approximately. Thus, as illustrated in FIG. 3, using the applicator 3, it is possible to make up only one strand of eyelashes at a time without reaching all the eyelashes of the eyelid. For example, the application elements can simultaneously contact, at most, less than a quarter of the eyelashes of the upper eyelid, as illustrated.

The composition C2 may be applied to eyelashes or eyebrows made up or not.

The support 5 and the application elements 6 are made in one piece in the illustrated example, by plastic molding. The support 5 is attached to the rod 4 in a manner which will be detailed below with reference to FIGS. 10 and 11.

In the example described, the upper portions 20 of two consecutive application elements 6 form between them a notch 21 extending substantially as far as the web 15, when the comb is viewed from the side, as in FIG. 4. The notches 21 make it easier to grasp the eyelashes, for example to separate, comb or smooth the product deposited on their surface.

It is understood that by varying the length of the application elements and the interval between them, it is easy to act on the amount of product that the applicator loads.

The difference between the vertices of two successive application elements 6a or 6b situated on one and the same side of the geometric separation surface is in the example considered substantially greater than the width of an application element, measured at half height of the applicator 3, parallel to the axis Y of the support 5.

Each applicator element 6a extends substantially halfway, when the applicator 3 is viewed from the side, two adjacent applicator elements 6b and vice versa.

In the example considered, the upper parts 20 of the application elements 6 point substantially all in the same direction.

The lower portions 22 of two successive application elements located on one and the same side of the core 15 form between them and with the core 15 a cavity 23 which can constitute a reserve of product.

The spacing between the application elements 6a or 6b can be relatively large in favor of the amount of product that the applicator loads without the applicator losing any ability to grip the eyelashes, thanks to the shift of the elements of application and the notches 21 formed by the upper parts 20 of the application elements remain sufficiently narrow.

The application elements 6 may have many configurations without departing from the scope of the present invention, including differently oriented upper parts.

When using the device 1 to make up the second portion P2 of the eyelash fringe, it may have been previously makeup all or only a portion of the eyelashes corresponding at least to the portion P1 of the eyelashes, with the aid of a mascara and a conventional brush or comb. It is also possible to leave the first portion P1 of the eyelash fringe unmasked and to make up only the second portion P2 with the second composition C2.

When makeup the first portion P1 and the second portion P2, one can use the same composition C and an applicator having two different applicator areas such as those shown in Figure 6.

The device 1 'shown in FIG. 6 comprises an applicator 35 comprising a first applicator zone 36 in the form of a comb and a second applicator zone 37 which may have application elements and a length similar to that of the device 1.

Thus, the user can apply the composition C on the first portion P1 using the first applicator zone 36 and possibly on the second portion P2, and then make up the second portion P2 using the second zone applicator 37 only.

FIG. 7 represents another device making it possible to obtain the make-up according to the invention, comprising in addition container 2 containing the second composition C2 and the applicator 3, a second container 70 containing a first composition C1 and a second applicator 71 which may be different from the applicator 3. For example, the applicator 71 may comprise a conventional mascara brush.

In a particular embodiment not shown, the container 2 and the container 70 may contain the same composition C. In this case, the first and second make-up renderings are obtained by using the two different applicators 3 and 71.

In the example illustrated in FIG. 7, the container 2 containing the second composition C2 has a lower skirt 72 provided with a thread and constituting a closure cap for the container 70 containing the first composition C1.

Other examples of devices comprising two containers and two applicators have been shown in FIGS. 8 to 11.

The applicators are in these examples oriented in opposite directions so that each container can serve as a gripping member to the applicator associated with the other container.

In Figure 8, the device comprises a mascara brush and an applicator 3 having a comb, while the applicator 3 of the device of Figure 9 comprises a brush.
