Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de visualisation de l'environnement d'un véhicule, en particulier dans l'obscurité. Ce procédé consiste à: mettre à disposition une représentation visuelle contenant des données numériques de l'environnement et représentant les objets visuellement perceptibles; et mettre également à disposition une image infrarouge contenant des données numériques de l'environnement et représentant le rayonnement infrarouge émis par les objets visuellement perceptibles et/ou d'autres objets. Pour faciliter l'affectation d'objets, émettant le rayonnement infrarouge, dans l'environnement enregistré, une fusion d'images est réalisée, consistant à fusionner la représentation visuelle et l'image infrarouge en une image cible pouvant être représentée dans un dispositif d'affichage. La fusion d'images est interrompue en fonction d'un paramètre environnemental pour permettre de représenter uniquement une des deux images ou ne représenter aucune des images en tant qu'image cible.
