Description

The present invention relates to a waterless sanitary installation according to the preamble of claim 1 and to a method for operating a waterless sanitary installation.

Waterless sanitary facilities, in particular waterless urinals, generally have no water rinse. The disinfection or suppression of odor formation takes place in such systems usually by siphon use. Such urinals are for example from the CH 690 917 , of the DE 270 361 , of the WO 94/25693 and the EP 0 903 444 known. In this case, siphon inserts are provided, for example containing a barrier liquid to prevent the formation of odors. The barrier fluids used are, for example, oily and / or have a density of about 0.9 g / cm 3 , so that they cover the liquid compound formed in the siphon, which usually contains urine, and thus the escape of gases or of Prevent odor.

The disadvantage of the known waterless urinals with barrier liquid is that the barrier liquid often has to be topped up, since in each case at least a part of them is entrained by the liquid passing through the siphon, in particular the urine.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to propose a waterless urinal or, more generally, a waterless sanitary installation in which barrier liquid is not constantly used to prevent odor formation be refilled or in which or which the above-mentioned problems can be prevented.

According to the invention a sanitary system according to the wording of claim 1 is proposed.

In particular, a waterless, sanitary facility is proposed, in particular a waterless urinal, comprising a urinal basin or a urinal stand or a bowl, as a rule consisting of ceramic, glass, metal or a polymer material, and a siphon insert which can be used as an odor trap. This consists, as already known from the prior art, of a pot-like outer part with a substantially cylindrical outer wall and a formed from the bottom of the outer part, the central drainage pipe for limiting the boundary formed in the outer part, an annular receiving channel for the barrier liquid. Next, the siphon consists of a projecting into the receiving channel or in the barrier liquid inner part, which encloses the drain pipe to form a ring channel concentrically. According to the invention it is now proposed in contrast to the known Siphoneinsätzen that in the annular receiving channel a receptacle is provided for receiving a barrier medium such that at least a portion of the barrier medium is in contact with the barrier liquid or the liquid connection in the siphon.

It should be noted that in the present invention as a barrier fluid, the fluid connection is understood, which in the siphon used from the outside Receiving channel is connected to the inner annular channel or in the receiving channel and the annular channel, the two is mounted connecting. Accordingly, the barrier fluid is usually predominantly urine.

In this case, the inner part has a closure cap, such that at the edge of the closure cap a preferably annular gap remains as an inlet to the annular receiving channel, such that the reaching into the siphon insert liquid, usually largely consisting of urine in the receptacle containing the barrier medium , is entered.

The barrier medium prevents the one hand, the thinning of the urine or the barrier liquid in the siphon, wherein preferably the barrier medium floats above or in the barrier liquid, in particular the urine and releases odor-inhibiting agents over a longer period of time and dissolves over time. The barrier medium is, for example, preferably completely biodegradable natural waxes or wax / oil mixtures, for example in the form of pills, spheres, etc. However, these may also be very high-viscosity liquids, and preferably the barrier medium has a specific one Weight on from 0.9 g / cm 3 or less, so that the barrier medium covers each of the barrier fluid containing the urine. The barrier medium may contain additives that have an antimicrobial or bacteriostatic to bactericidal effect as well as odor-absorbing, by reactive Kakosmophere how Hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans, thioethers, isovaleric acid, ammonia and amines are removed.

Examples of a barrier medium are saturated fatty alcohols and fatty acids, preferably of plant origin, such as C 11 -C 29 fatty alcohols or fatty acids.

In order to achieve a sufficient odor prevention or an effective degradation of the odor-forming substances, the siphon insert is preferably designed such that the receptacle projects with the blocking medium about 50 mm or more into the barrier liquid.

Verhinderung der GasbildungIn addition, it may be advantageous to add additives to the blocking medium, such as, for example, polyglycol ethers or tallow alkyl polyglycol ethers, for example with a chain length of C 16 -C 18 . These additives ensure the successive dissolution of the barrier medium or the long-term odor prevention or prevention of gas formation

The siphon insert is preferably an exchangeable mass part, which is made, for example, from a polymeric material, such as polyethylene.

Further proposed is a method according to the wording of claim 11. Further preferred embodiments are characterized in the dependent claims and the invention will now be explained in more detail for example and with reference to the accompanying figures.

Dabei schematisch dargestellt ist ein Siphoneinsatz 10 in einem Endrohr 30, mündend in einen angrenzenden Kanalanschluss 3.FIG. 1 shows, for example, a ceramic basin 1 for a waterless urine installation in the lateral cross section. Shown here is a siphon insert 10 in an end pipe 30, opening into an adjacent channel connection 3.

The siphon insert 10 will now be explained in more detail with reference to the following figures 2 to 4.

The siphon insert 10 consists of an outer part 11 and an inner part 12 connected thereto. The outer part 11 has a bottom 14, a central drain pipe 15 extending forwards from the latter and a cylindrical outer wall 16 extending forwards over the drain pipe 15 an outer cone tapering towards the bottom 14 merges. Between the drain pipe 15, the bottom 14, the conical portion 17 and the outer wall 16 is a receiving channel 18 for the inclusion of the barrier fluid, which usually consists largely of urine.

The inner part 12 consists of an inserted in the region of the upper edge of the outer wall 16 cap 22 and a dip tube 23, which are integrally formed. The dip tube 23 extends in the receiving channel of the outer part 11 vertically downward in the barrier liquid and thus forms a concentric to the drain pipe 15 formed annular space 20. receiving channel 18 and annular space 20 are thus communicating in the region of the bottom 14 connected to each other for the passage of the barrier liquid. The level of the barrier liquid is determined by the upper opening of the drain pipe 15. Finally, the siphon insert 10 is inserted into a siphon receiving tube or an end tube 30, preferably removable again or interchangeably.

In contrast to the known siphon inserts, the siphon insert 10 according to the invention now has an annular receiving receptacle 25, which is preferably arranged in the outer receiving channel 18 from above, for example when hung up. In the receptacle 25, the barrier medium 29 is provided, which may be, for example, a trained in pill or capsule waxy or oily material, which is suitable to prevent the formation of odor in the urine. Due to the receptacle, it may be an x-any, suitable material. Preferably, materials such as biodegradable waxes or oily substances are selected which have a density <0.9 g / cm 3 , so that the barrier medium still covers the barrier fluid or urine, even after progressive degradation. As barrier media, for example, saturated fatty alcohols or fatty acids, preferably of vegetable origin, can be used, for example having a chain length of C 11 -C 29 . In addition, it may be advantageous to use an additive, such as, for example, alkyl polyglycol ethers or tallow alkyl polyglycol ethers, preferably having a chain length of C 16 -C 18 . These additives are used, for example, as emulsifiers and allow a long-term dissolution of the present in pills, capsules or granules blocking medium in the barrier liquid.

Can now be seen perforations or perforations 26 in the bottom of the receptacle 25, whereby the passage of the urine is ensured by the receptacle. The urine passes, as can be seen in Figure 2, through an annular gap 19 which extends peripherally at the edge of the cap 22, and flows directly into the interior of the receptacle 25 and through the blocking medium 29. In this case, the barrier medium dissolves over a longer period of time, as for example 1 to 3 months and thus prevents the formation of odors. Subsequently, the urine passes through the perforations 26 in the receiving channel 18 and later in the annulus 20, to finally pass through the drain pipe 15 into the drain channel 3.

In Figure 4, finally, the receptacle 25 is shown in perspective, whereby the annular configuration of the receptacle is clearly visible. The height of the receptacle 25 must be selected such that a sufficient immersion of the barrier medium in the barrier liquid and thus in the urine-containing liquid is ensured.

It is both possible to replace only the receptacle 25 in the siphon insert or in the receiving channel 18 as an exchangeable element, respectively, when the blocking medium is completely dissolved. But it is also possible to replace the entire siphon insert as an exchangeable mass part in each case when the barrier medium is completely dissolved or used up. In the latter case, the receptacle 25 may be an integral part of the siphon insert 10. In this case, the receptacle can also be made of a polymeric material, such as polyethylene, or of metal, such as sheet iron.

In der Regel handelt es sich dabei um wasserlose UrinaleThe siphon used according to the invention is suitable for any waterless sanitary facilities in which an odor is to be prevented. As a rule, these are waterless urinals

The examples illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 4 are of course only possible embodiments in order to explain the present invention in more detail. Of course, siphon inserts can be designed differently or can be supplemented by other elements. Essential to the invention is that in Siphon use a receptacle is provided for receiving a barrier medium to prevent the flow of liquid from the sanitary system, such as the urinal, odors, such as leaking urine.
