Definitions
- the invention relates to a panel, in particular a long panel with a transverse groove and a kit of panels, The invention further relates to a method and a system for producing such panels.
- Panels for wall, ceiling and floor design are being used with increasingly different decors.
- the aim is to offer as near-natural a decor as possible.
- classic laying forms of parquet are mimicked, for example, particularly often z.
- B. cube parquet or ship floor decors A second direction of the decors aims at the reproduction of planks, such panels are commonly referred to as country house planks.
- Country house planks are longer due to the decor than usual panels; they are also referred to as long panels. It has turned out that country house planks appeal to a large circle of consumers.
- the area formed by a larger number of panels is relatively monotonous. The more uniform decor that extends across the entire width and length of a panel results in an undesirably monotonous installation pattern.
- this object is achieved by a panel having a transverse groove, wherein the transverse groove is provided with an incision which partially passes through the panel and which extends to below the groove bottom of the transverse groove.
- a transverse groove creates a convincing, realistic and therefore high-quality optical demarcation of decorative units.
- the optical demarcation should look as real as possible, especially for high-quality products.
- the incision which extends into the panel in the transverse groove to below the groove bottom, a surprisingly "real" acting appreciation of the panel, because it creates the impression that here separate sections are joined together.
- the notch must not be particularly deep, just a few mm or 1/10 mm below the bottom of the groove to give the viewer the impression that here two separate panels were joined together.
- the panel is cut according to an advantageous embodiment by the transverse groove up to a third, preferably up to a quarter, more preferably up to a fifth of the thickness of the panel.
- This insertion depth corresponds to the usual depth of the edge profiles, which is visible in the plan view of a panel.
- the transverse groove can be introduced according to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention with any profiles in the panel. Preferably, V- or U-shaped profiles are introduced into the surface of the panel. It is particularly preferred if the design of the transverse groove of the panel is adapted to the design of at least a part of the edge of the panel, in particular to a chamfered edge of the panel.
- the profile of the transverse groove and the edge of the panel are identical.
- the subdivided by the present invention developed transverse grooves sections of the panel are preferably designed with completed veneer images, ie with a complete flower, a self-contained branch image or the like.
- Such an embodiment of the invention can advantageously be used long panels having two, three or more decorative sections.
- the transverse groove which is incorporated in the surface of the panel, is colored according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, in particular painted. According to a further advantageous development of the invention, the transverse groove is sealed, in particular sealed watertight. Thus, the transverse groove is ready for use and also grown to usual requirements for the surface stress.
- the transverse groove is removed by conventional means for removing material from a surface of the panel, usually with milling. Subsequently, the incision is made in or until under the groove bottom. When cutting into the panel, if possible no material or only a minimum of material should be removed. Unlike a groove, for example, no side surfaces of the incision should be visible.
- a means for applying an incision for example, a knife, a thin saw blade or a laser are used. These tools create a thin incision that is a few 1/10 mm or a few mm deep.
- the transverse groove provided with a predetermined profile, typically a V or U-profile.
- the means for removing material from the surface and the means for introducing the incision into or under the groove bottom may be arranged compact. They can be arranged as a separate processing unit. However, they can also be incorporated into a system for producing panels, which act on the surface of the panel, for example, during or after processing of the narrow sides of a panel.
- the integration of the means for removing material and introducing the incision can therefore also be done so easily in a system for the production of panels, because they work with the same Bkarheitungs horr as the tools with which the panel is made.
- the transverse groove is introduced according to a particularly preferred embodiment of the panel according to the invention there in the surface where two decorative units adjoin one another. Since the decor is already applied to the surface of the panel before the transverse groove is introduced, it is of particular importance that the transverse groove is actually applied where the decors abut each other.
- a further preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the border between two decors is marked, e.g. by a colored line or by reflective or fluorescent markings.
- the means for introducing the incision are additionally provided in this embodiment of the invention with a device for aligning the means for introduction, in practice with a known, inexpensive device for detecting a color stroke or with means for detecting fluorescent markers. The adjustment of the means for introducing the incision usually requires only minimal movements, since at best to correct a deviation of a few mm.
- three or four or more different panels are combined to form a kit. It is obvious that the number of panels is determined only by how many panels are required for each desired laying pattern.
- the panels are preferably summarized in the factory to packages, each having a defined number of panels.
- the kit according to the invention is particularly suitable for use when the panels combined in each case into a kit have decorative units which extend over the entire width of the panel.
- kits according to the invention provide that the decorative units of the at least first and second panels and possibly further panels of the kit are designed with coordinated lengths.
- the decorative units are each formed as an integer multiple of the shortest decorative unit.
- Fig. 1 shows an elongated panel 2 with end faces 4a, 4b, which are each provided with a groove 6 (end face 4a) and with a corresponding spring 8 (end face 4b).
- the profile of the long sides is not shown for clarity.
- Several panels 2 are laid to a floor, a wall covering or a ceiling, wherein groove 6 and spring 8 engage each other.
- Groove 6 and spring 8 may additionally comprise locking means which secure the panels against being pulled apart in the plane of laying.
- the profiles 6,8 of the end edges 4a, 4b intersect with the top 10 of the panel 2, the resulting edges are broken, in the present case they are not rounded but beveled, i. broken at an angle of 45 °.
- the chamfers 12 extend over approximately 1/6 of the height of the panel.
- the panel 2 has a transverse groove 14.
- the transverse groove 14 extends parallel to the end edges 4a, 4b. It was created together with the profiles 6, 8 on the front edges.
- a router with V-shaped profile has worked out the transverse groove 14 from the surface 10 of the panel.
- the mill is connected to a color detection device which aligns the mill with conventional control means prior to removing the cross groove 14 on a black line.
- the alignment usually requires only an adjustment by a few millimeters, since the cutter is already arranged in an area in which a transverse groove 14 is provided.
- the black line on the panel 2 marks the change between two decorative units not shown here.
- the tools for generating the transverse groove 14 are known per se, they are not shown here.
- transverse groove 14 After the cutter follows a saw blade, which makes a narrow cut 16 in the groove bottom of about 1.5 mm. This gives the transverse groove 14 after laying the panels in plan view the same impression as a real joint between two panels. This impression is exacerbated by the fact that the transverse groove 14 is designed as a V-groove, which has the same dimensions as chamfers 12 of the panels 2. To this impression of a true joint contributes in particular the incision 16, the viewer the juxtaposition of two separate Panels suggest. However, the transverse groove 14 does not engage so deeply in the panel 2 that its strength and stability significantly is impaired.
- the realistic impression conveyed by the transverse groove 14 is further improved in that, after the incision 16 has been made, the side surfaces of the transverse groove 14 are fashioned in the same decor as the surface 10 of the panel 2 or, preferably, like the chamfers 12 the profile 6, 8 of the end faces 4a, 4b.
- the side surfaces of the transverse groove 14 can be printed particularly easily in the inkjet process. If a color is used with a crosslinkable binder, then the coating of the side surfaces of the transverse groove 14 is additionally waterproof sealed after printing and curing the color.
- Fig. 2 shows a kit 20 of several panels 2, including at least one panel having a transverse groove 14, as shown in Fig. 1.
- the three panels 2a, 2b and 2c of the kit 20 have the same length.
- the first panel 2a has a surface with a decor unit 22a covering the entire surface of the panel 2a.
- the second panel 2b is provided with three decorative units 22b.
- the decorative units 22b each have a different pattern, for example, with branches, vials or bars. The different patterns, however, are coordinated, so imitate z. B. all the tree species birch or maple.
- Each decorative unit 22b is separated from the adjacent decorative unit by a transverse groove 14.
- the third panel 2 c has three decor units 22 c, which are separated by a transverse groove 14.
- the decorative units 22a, 22b and 22c are matched to each other in such a way that each half or third divisions result based on the length of the entire panel. With kit 20 you can create attractive laying patterns.
- the kit 20 offers the advantage in the production and laying, that the same size panels are processed.
- the panels can be dimensioned so large that they can barely be laid by one person. The larger the single panel, the less the effort of edge processing. It is therefore obvious that a kit over the prior art also offers the advantage of more economical production.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a panel, in particular a long panel with a transverse groove and a kit of panels, The invention further relates to a method and a system for producing such panels.
Panels for wall, ceiling and floor design are being used with increasingly different decors. Especially for high-quality panels, the aim is to offer as near-natural a decor as possible. For example, classic laying forms of parquet are mimicked, for example, particularly often z. B. cube parquet or ship floor decors. A second direction of the decors aims at the reproduction of planks, such panels are commonly referred to as country house planks. Country house planks are longer due to the decor than usual panels; they are also referred to as long panels. It has turned out that country house planks appeal to a large circle of consumers. However, the area formed by a larger number of panels is relatively monotonous. The more uniform decor that extends across the entire width and length of a panel results in an undesirably monotonous installation pattern.
So far, an improved range of high-quality panels designed in such a way that panels of several lengths are offered with different, but coordinated decors. The compilation of such kits of panels, e.g. In the case of wood decors Lang-Panecle with Fladerdekoren, short panels with knotty sections and possibly even medium-length panels with strip or bolt decors include extremely complex. In particular, the packaging requires a disproportionate effort.
It is therefore the task of providing a panel and a kit of panels, with which on the one hand a more attractive installation image and on the other hand for high-quality decors factory improved packaging is possible. It is a further object of the invention to propose a method and a system for producing panels.
According to the invention this object is achieved by a panel having a transverse groove, wherein the transverse groove is provided with an incision which partially passes through the panel and which extends to below the groove bottom of the transverse groove. Such a transverse groove creates a convincing, realistic and therefore high-quality optical demarcation of decorative units. The optical demarcation should look as real as possible, especially for high-quality products. Here, the incision, which extends into the panel in the transverse groove to below the groove bottom, a surprisingly "real" acting appreciation of the panel, because it creates the impression that here separate sections are joined together. The notch must not be particularly deep, just a few mm or 1/10 mm below the bottom of the groove to give the viewer the impression that here two separate panels were joined together. The usual incisions are at a depth of 2/10 mm to 3 mm below the bottom of the groove. The stability of the panel is not significantly weakened because, despite the transverse groove and incision, the panel is stiff enough to be transported and routed as usual. At the same time this inventive design of the transverse groove that factory large-sized panels of the same length (long panels) are produced, which at the same time the installation image can be made much more varied locally, with the most high-quality impression of "real" solid wood flooring arises.
The panel is cut according to an advantageous embodiment by the transverse groove up to a third, preferably up to a quarter, more preferably up to a fifth of the thickness of the panel. This insertion depth corresponds to the usual depth of the edge profiles, which is visible in the plan view of a panel. At the same time, the stability of the panel is maintained. The transverse groove can be introduced according to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention with any profiles in the panel. Preferably, V- or U-shaped profiles are introduced into the surface of the panel. It is particularly preferred if the design of the transverse groove of the panel is adapted to the design of at least a part of the edge of the panel, in particular to a chamfered edge of the panel. According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the profile of the transverse groove and the edge of the panel are identical. The subdivided by the present invention developed transverse grooves sections of the panel are preferably designed with completed veneer images, ie with a complete flower, a self-contained branch image or the like. In such an embodiment of the invention can advantageously be used long panels having two, three or more decorative sections.
The transverse groove, which is incorporated in the surface of the panel, is colored according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, in particular painted. According to a further advantageous development of the invention, the transverse groove is sealed, in particular sealed watertight. Thus, the transverse groove is ready for use and also grown to usual requirements for the surface stress.
The transverse groove is removed by conventional means for removing material from a surface of the panel, usually with milling. Subsequently, the incision is made in or until under the groove bottom. When cutting into the panel, if possible no material or only a minimum of material should be removed. Unlike a groove, for example, no side surfaces of the incision should be visible. As a means for applying an incision, for example, a knife, a thin saw blade or a laser are used. These tools create a thin incision that is a few 1/10 mm or a few mm deep. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention when removing the material or then, usually before the introduction of the incision, in a second Arheitsgang the transverse groove provided with a predetermined profile, typically a V or U-profile.
The means for removing material from the surface and the means for introducing the incision into or under the groove bottom may be arranged compact. They can be arranged as a separate processing unit. However, they can also be incorporated into a system for producing panels, which act on the surface of the panel, for example, during or after processing of the narrow sides of a panel. The integration of the means for removing material and introducing the incision can therefore also be done so easily in a system for the production of panels, because they work with the same Bkarheitungsgeschwindigkeit as the tools with which the panel is made.
The transverse groove is introduced according to a particularly preferred embodiment of the panel according to the invention there in the surface where two decorative units adjoin one another. Since the decor is already applied to the surface of the panel before the transverse groove is introduced, it is of particular importance that the transverse groove is actually applied where the decors abut each other. A further preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the border between two decors is marked, e.g. by a colored line or by reflective or fluorescent markings. The means for introducing the incision are additionally provided in this embodiment of the invention with a device for aligning the means for introduction, in practice with a known, inexpensive device for detecting a color stroke or with means for detecting fluorescent markers. The adjustment of the means for introducing the incision usually requires only minimal movements, since at best to correct a deviation of a few mm.
- the first and second panels have the same length,
- the first panel has at least one docking unit and the second panel has at least two decorative units, and wherein
- two decorative units on a panel are each offset by a transverse groove, which cuts into the panel.
With such a kit, it is possible to produce an attractive and varied laying pattern with very high-quality appearance with panels of the same length. The previously required compilation of extensive panel ranges of different lengths is eliminated.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, three or four or more different panels are combined to form a kit. It is obvious that the number of panels is determined only by how many panels are required for each desired laying pattern. The panels are preferably summarized in the factory to packages, each having a defined number of panels.
The kit according to the invention is particularly suitable for use when the panels combined in each case into a kit have decorative units which extend over the entire width of the panel.
A preferred development of the kit according to the invention provides that the decorative units of the at least first and second panels and possibly further panels of the kit are designed with coordinated lengths. According to a preferred embodiment of the kit, the decorative units are each formed as an integer multiple of the shortest decorative unit. By this vote results in a harmonious overall picture for the laid kit.

The panel 2 has a
After the cutter follows a saw blade, which makes a narrow cut 16 in the groove bottom of about 1.5 mm. This gives the
The realistic impression conveyed by the
Fig. 2 shows a
The
