Abstract

The suction unit at a water jet needling machine, to bond nonwoven fabrics and the like, has a suction tube with a number of axially aligned suction openings for each water beam. The suction openings along the whole working width can be closed in relation to their associated water beams, by a shoe moving through the tube without any openings. At the sliding mechanism a closure rail (22) is in horizontal recesses (7',8') in the vertical walls (7,8) flanking the suction slit (9), radially inwards from the cleaning bar, with a slit passage (23) for the extracted water. Piston units (24) are on both sides of the closure rail, along its length, with a hydraulic drive action to push the rail into the recesses.

Description

The invention relates to a suction device for liquids in particular at water needling machines, wherein the suction device is assigned outside more than a water beam for generating liquid jets, consisting of a suction tube with one or more over the working length of the tube arranged axially aligned suction for each water bar through which the liquid is sucked out of the associated water bar due to the negative pressure generated in the pipe. A device of this kind is by the EP-A-1 059 377 or the WO 01/79598 known.

It is customary to assign a needling drum with internally arranged suction tube a plurality of water bars, each water bar is associated with a suction slot, which may also consist of several suction in the suction tube. The suction tube is under negative pressure to dissipate the sprayed liquid. The negative pressure acts on all suction slots in the suction tube. As a result, the suction slot is under negative pressure, the assigned water bar is geschaftet. This leads to pressure losses that are to be avoided.

The invention has for its object to develop a device with the energy losses are avoided in planned, but disconnected water bar.

Starting from the device of the type mentioned initially, the solution of the stated tasks is to be seen in the fact that over the entire working width extending suction with respect to a respective associated water bar are formed closed. The locking mechanism can be executed in different ways.

The suction device consists of a liquid-permeable, rotatably mounted drum 1, on which the material 2 to be needled rests. The drum 1 is assigned here above only a water bar 3, from which the water jets 4 emerge under high pressure and hit the Good 2. Accordingly, a plurality of water bars 3 may be arranged around the drum 1. The sprayed-on water must be sucked off immediately below the material 2. For this purpose, a suction tube 5 is centrally mounted within the drum 1, in whose wall along a surface line extraction holes 6 each water bar 3 are placed assigned. Right and left of these holes 6 are parallel to the surface line radially outside the tube 5 slide strips 7, 8 arranged to determine the width of the suction slot 9 stationary.

The suction slot 9 should be designed to be closed for a short time. There is first the solution after the EP-A-1 059 377 with the interchangeable cleaning strip 9 'after Fig. 7a , in which the suction openings are introduced approximately in the middle. It is the suction slot there closed by inserting a bar in which the suction openings are missing, so a massive shoe. This closure is only possible when the machine is at a standstill.

The Fig. 2 shows the suction tube 5, the suction openings 6 on the inside of the tube 5 is associated with a laterally displaceable flap 10. This flap 10 is detachably held on the suction tube 5 by means of a bearing 11. The flap 10 is over a out Fig. 3 apparent number of articulated arms 12 pivotally mounted such that upon pivoting of the articulated arms 12, the flap 10 moves in the direction of the support block 11 'on the other side of the suction slot 6. Thus, the suction slot 6 is closed by the flap 10. The actuation of the flap movement is made possible by a pressure cylinder 13.

In the solution after the Fig. 4 holds the storage 11 in the direction of the double arrow 14 also upwardly pivotable flap 10 ', which closes the suction slot 6 with a counter-profile 11'. The actuation of the flap 10 'can be effected by a pressure hose 15, which is held over the length of the suction slot 5 in the storage 11. If he is under atmospheric pressure, he expands and moves the flap 10 'with the free end up to close the suction slot. 6

In a simpler, principle illustrated solution is according to Fig. 5 a on the inside of the suction tube only a longitudinal flap 16 is provided, which is movable with a mechanism, not shown, for closing up against the opening 6. The Fig. 5 b again discloses a pressurized tubing 17 which is longitudinally disposed on one side of the slot 6 and movable against a support wall 18 on the other side of the slot after inflation with compressed air. But a closure of a suction slot can also be done when coaxial on the inside of the suction tube 5 a sealing Verschließrohr 19 is disposed rotatable relative to the suction tube 5 and the Verschließrohr 19 according to the arrangement of the suction 6 through holes 6 'and after rotation one or the other of Suction slots 6 closing covers.

The FIGS. 6 and 7 reveal possible solutions that are arranged in the lateral wall 7, 8 of the suction slot 9. To Fig. 6 is in one of the walls 8, a recess 20 in which a pivoting mechanism is mounted. This possibly conical lever 21 is mounted along the suction slot and pivotable along its axis. This is possible with the axle provided inwardly in accordance with Fig. 6 a or axially outwardly mounted axis according to Fig. 6 b. The pivoting could be done electrically, but other modes are conceivable.

The Fig. 7 discloses a sliding mechanism. Radially inwardly of the cleaning strip 9 'is perpendicular to the suction slot 9 in both sides in the walls 7, 8 recesses 7', 8 'provided a Verschließschiene 22 along its extension has a passage slot 23 for the extracted liquid. On both sides along the Verschließschiene 22 a plurality of piston units 24 are provided which are preferably hydraulically driven to move the rail 22 in the recesses 7 ', 8'. In the illustrated position, the suction slot 9 is skewed by the rail 22, moved laterally to the right passes the passage slot with the suction slot 9 in cover and the function of the suction is guaranteed.
