Claims (11)

  1. Assembly (1) for packaging and applying a cosmetic product, comprising a container (2) having:
    i) a portion (15) that is suitable for containing the product and is able to be brought into fluidic communication with a housing (5) obtained by moulding together with the portion (15), said housing containing a spherical ball (6) mounted so as to be free to rotate within the housing, an applicator portion (7) of the ball protruding from the container (2) through an opening (3) formed through one edge of said housing, and
    ii) a cover (11) that is able to cover the applicator portion (7) of the ball, said cover (11), when it is mounted on the container, forming the ball (6) into sealed abutment against at least two annular sealing zones (9, 10) formed by an internal surface (8) of the housing (5), an annular zone (19) of said internal surface (8) located between the two sealing zones (9, 10) not being in contact with the ball when the latter is in sealed abutment against the two annular sealing zones (9, 10),
    characterized in that the cover (11) comprises a bearing structure which, when the cover is mounted, comes into engagement with the ball (6), the bearing structure comprising two concentric skirts (12, 13) that are centred on an axis X of the container.
  2. Packaging and application assembly (1) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the two annular sealing zones are formed by edges (9, 10) or lips obtained by moulding together with the housing.
  3. Assembly (1) according to Claim 3, characterized in that the bearing structure (12, 13) comprises an inner skirt (12) and an outer skirt (13), the outer skirt being involved in centring the ball (6) in its housing (5) and being less rigid than the inner skirt.
  4. Assembly (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cover (11) is screwed onto the container (2).
  5. Assembly (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the two annular sealing zones (9, 10) are located on the same side of a median plane of the applicator ball (6) perpendicular to a longitudinal axis X of the container, and at a distance from said median plane.
  6. Assembly (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the container (2) , the applicator ball (6) and the cover (11) are formed from at least one thermoplastic material selected from polyolefins, in particular polypropylene, high-density or low-density polyethylene, or mixtures thereof.
  7. Assembly (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that, when the ball (6) is in sealed abutment against the annular sealing zones (9, 10), the latter are at least partially deformed/compressed under the pressure of the applicator ball (6).
  8. Assembly (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the product is a body hygiene product, in particular a deodorant or a slimming product.
  9. Assembly (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the side wall of the housing (5) receiving the ball (6) has a decreasing thickness in the direction of said opening (3).
  10. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the width perpendicular to the axis X of an annular space (16) between the ball (6) and the inner surface (8) of the housing thereof decreases continuously between an annular sealing zone (9) against which the ball is tin sealed abutment and an edge delimiting said opening (3).
  11. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the annular sealing zone (s) (9; 10) is (are) formed in the vicinity of a constriction zone (14) separating the portion (15) that is suitable for containing the product from the housing (5) containing the ball.
