Definitions
- the present invention is about an adhesive advertising-bookmarker having considerable and original characteristics of utility and usability.
- the conventional bookmarkers usually consist of a strip made of paper, card or plastic material, provided or not with writings or drawings on both of its opposite surfaces, to be positioned between the pages of a book at a particularly interesting point of said book which has to be immediately and easily reached.
- They have the disadvantage to easily slip away from the pages of the book in which they are positioned, and they are not very practical to use especially within periodical magazines, where the reader's interest is often focused on more than one article at the same time, and it is thus required the use of several bookmarkers.
- bookmarkers have been provided, allowing to place even more than one bookmarker inside the same book or magazine. These bookmarkers are easy to dispose and remove at will without the risk that they accidentally fall down from the pages on which they are placed. However, these bookmarkers are not immediately available for a person every time he needs to use them with the book or magazine he is reading. An example of this kind of bookmarkers is described in the International Application published with No. WO 81/02867.
- an adhesive advertising-bookmarker which can be used for advertising purposes on a part or its whole upper surface, i.e. the surface not provided with adhesive means, or even on the area on which the bookmarker is removably stuck before being used and/or reused.
- the adhesive bookmarker comprises a plurality of preferably rectangular shaped labels 1, although any shape could be used for their manufacture, having variable size but suitable for their use and being colored at will, even in a different way one from another.
- Each label 1 comprises a first portion 3, configured to make easier to grasp said label 1 by the user, and a second adhesive portion 5, designed to cause said label 1 to removably adhere on the page to be marked.
- each label 1 is designed to be positioned and removably stuck by means of its adhesive portion 5 on a plurality of corresponding areas 7 respectively, said areas 7 being directly obtained on one or more pages of the book or magazine for which said labels 1 have to be used as a bookmarker, thus allowing to have immediately available, by detaching them from their areas 7 when needed, even a number of adhesive bookmarkers on the same book page.
- one or more pages able to contain a plurality of adhesive bookmarker according to the invention could be provided within a book, magazine, journal or similar, said bookmarkers being immediately ready to be used and possibly reused for a long time, either within the book which contains them, to mark the most interesting arguments, pages and/or figures, or within other books, if desired.
- the area 7, as well as the label 1, can be colored at will, filled with images or drawings of any kind, or conveniently used with advertising purpose.
- the reader does not have to search anymore in other places for a sometimes improvised bookmarker whenever he needs it, risking that said bookmarker does not perform in a correct way its function by sliding off from the pages between which it is inserted, but he will have immediately at disposal, in one or more easily reachable pages of the book or magazine he is reading, all the bookmarkers he needs to recall every time where his attention has been turned.
- the adhesive advertising-bookmarker according to the invention is thus not only a reminder, but also a real customized index for the book or magazine the user is reading, being able to be put back on its own area 7 of the book and ready to be reused for a high number of times.
- the adhesive advertising-bookmarker provides for a unique advertising format very useful for an advertiser, since an advertising message, uncovered by the user every time he uses the labels by detaching them, appears like a puzzle beneath the labels.
- the adhesive advertising-bookmarker according to the present invention could be made with the most different shapes, size and colours, according to any use requirement and/or kind of book, magazine or journal which contains it and for which it has to be used, as well as the size of the two portions 3 and 5 could be decided at will with respect to the label 1 overall dimensions.
- any kind of customized drawing or advertising slogan could be impressed on the bookmarker, either directly on the label 1 or on the underlying area 7 containing said label 1, for instance the magazine name or the title of the book in which it is inserted, and the adhesive bookmarker could be also used as an information request coupon, discount ticket or gift ticket to couple with promotional activities contained inside the magazine provided with said bookmarker.

Abstract
Description
- The present invention is about an adhesive advertising-bookmarker having considerable and original characteristics of utility and usability.
- The conventional bookmarkers usually consist of a strip made of paper, card or plastic material, provided or not with writings or drawings on both of its opposite surfaces, to be positioned between the pages of a book at a particularly interesting point of said book which has to be immediately and easily reached. However, they have the disadvantage to easily slip away from the pages of the book in which they are positioned, and they are not very practical to use especially within periodical magazines, where the reader's interest is often focused on more than one article at the same time, and it is thus required the use of several bookmarkers.
- Therefore, adhesive bookmarkers have been provided, allowing to place even more than one bookmarker inside the same book or magazine.
- It is thus an object of the present invention to provide for an adhesive advertising-bookmarker which does not require to be searched for, often unsuccessfully, whenever it has to be used, since the bookmarker is directly available within the book or magazine that the user is reading.
- Furthermore, it is another object of the present invention to provide for an adhesive advertising-bookmarker which can be used for advertising purposes on a part or its whole upper surface, i.e. the surface not provided with adhesive means, or even on the area on which the bookmarker is removably stuck before being used and/or reused.
- Objects, characteristics and advantages of the adhesive bookmarker according to the present invention will be clear and evident from the following detailed description of its preferred embodiment, given with reference to the annexed figure of illustrative drawing, from which the bookmarker basic features are well evidenced.
- With reference to the figure of the annexed drawing, the adhesive bookmarker according to the present invention comprises a plurality of preferably rectangular shaped labels 1, although any shape could be used for their manufacture, having variable size but suitable for their use and being colored at will, even in a different way one from another. Each label 1 comprises a first portion 3, configured to make easier to grasp said label 1 by the user, and a second
adhesive portion 5, designed to cause said label 1 to removably adhere on the page to be marked. - Advantageously, each label 1 is designed to be positioned and removably stuck by means of its
adhesive portion 5 on a plurality ofcorresponding areas 7 respectively, saidareas 7 being directly obtained on one or more pages of the book or magazine for which said labels 1 have to be used as a bookmarker, thus allowing to have immediately available, by detaching them from theirareas 7 when needed, even a number of adhesive bookmarkers on the same book page. - Therefore, one or more pages able to contain a plurality of adhesive bookmarker according to the invention could be provided within a book, magazine, journal or similar, said bookmarkers being immediately ready to be used and possibly reused for a long time, either within the book which contains them, to mark the most interesting arguments, pages and/or figures, or within other books, if desired.
- The
area 7, as well as the label 1, can be colored at will, filled with images or drawings of any kind, or conveniently used with advertising purpose. - Therefore, thanks to the adhesive advertising-bookmarker according to the present invention, the reader does not have to search anymore in other places for a sometimes improvised bookmarker whenever he needs it, risking that said bookmarker does not perform in a correct way its function by sliding off from the pages between which it is inserted, but he will have immediately at disposal, in one or more easily reachable pages of the book or magazine he is reading, all the bookmarkers he needs to recall every time where his attention has been turned. The adhesive advertising-bookmarker according to the invention is thus not only a reminder, but also a real customized index for the book or magazine the user is reading, being able to be put back on its
own area 7 of the book and ready to be reused for a high number of times. At the same time the adhesive advertising-bookmarker provides for a unique advertising format very useful for an advertiser, since an advertising message, uncovered by the user every time he uses the labels by detaching them, appears like a puzzle beneath the labels. - It is to be understood that the adhesive advertising-bookmarker according to the present invention could be made with the most different shapes, size and colours, according to any use requirement and/or kind of book, magazine or journal which contains it and for which it has to be used, as well as the size of the two
portions 3 and 5 could be decided at will with respect to the label 1 overall dimensions. Furthermore, any kind of customized drawing or advertising slogan could be impressed on the bookmarker, either directly on the label 1 or on theunderlying area 7 containing said label 1, for instance the magazine name or the title of the book in which it is inserted, and the adhesive bookmarker could be also used as an information request coupon, discount ticket or gift ticket to couple with promotional activities contained inside the magazine provided with said bookmarker.
