- the cover 50 is part of the actuation system 40, in that the displacement of the cover 50 towards its position of use causes the actuation of the pump 20. Consequently, when the cover 50 is in the rest position, it is impossible to actuate the pump 20, the user having to necessarily move said cover 50 to its position of use to perform said actuation.
- the cover 50 can be produced in such a way that it moves along two different displacement paths to go from its rest position to its position of use. More specifically, the example shown shows a cover 50 which performs a radial translation in order to discover the dispensing orifice 31, as visible in FIGS.
- an axial translation under the effect of a push on the cover by the user, to activate the pump 20.
- an axial movement of the cover 50 between the position shown in FIG. 2 and that shown in FIG. 3 causes the actuation system 40 to be actuated, which results in the dispensing of a dose of product through the dispensing orifice 31.
- the cover 50 can make different movements to go from its rest position to its position of use, for example a rotation or a combination of rotation and translation.
- the cover 50 may include elastic return means which bring it back to its rest position after use of the device. As a variant, it could be envisaged that it is the user himself who manually returns said cover to its rest position.
- the invention has been described with reference to a device for dispensing a fluid or pulverulent product in which the direction of dispensing is axial relative to the central axis of the pump and of the reservoir, but it applies just as well to all types of dispensing devices, and in particular those comprising a dispensing head having a radial dispensing direction.
- the present invention is particularly suitable for a device for dispensing a fluid or powder product comprising a lateral actuation system, it is not limited to this type of system, and on the contrary applies to all types of appropriate actuation systems.
