Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a folding box with side walls and a bottom unit and / or a lid unit, wherein at least one side wall in the unfolded state of the carton has a convex curvature.
  • Such cartons are used in large quantities, for example, for packaging products from the cosmetics and / or pharmaceutical industry.
  • European Patent Application EP 0 879 766 A1 describes a folding box of the type mentioned in the introduction, which has two opposite, convexly curved side walls and has an oval cross-sectional contour.
  • the present invention is based on the technical problem or object to provide a carton of the type mentioned, which can be produced economically, can be folded in a flat state for transport to the filler, easy unfoldable and ensures safe storage of the packaged object ,
  • a simple ground unit should be used, while ensuring a high load capacity.
  • the carton should offer the opportunity to secure the lid unit against accidental opening.
  • the carton according to the invention is accordingly characterized in that on the inner wall of the convexly curved side wall at least one support unit is connected, which has a first adhesive tab and a second adhesive tab, which are connected to the inner wall and spaced apart in the direction of curvature, and between the first and second adhesive tabs a support tab is present, which is connected via a first or second Stützlaschenfaltline to the first and second adhesive tab, wherein the length of the support tab corresponds to the distance between the first and the second adhesive tab and the support tab in the unfolded state of the carton Inside the carton is foldable or unfolds automatically when unfolding the carton into the interior of the carton.
  • several support units can be present next to one another in the direction of curvature.
  • a particularly compact carton which can be easily folded up and ensures a high load-bearing capacity, is characterized in that the folded carton has two convexly curved side walls opposite each other in the unfolded state, resulting in an oval or round cross-sectional shape, and support units arranged on the inside of the side walls ,

By providing a further support tab folding line, the unfolding process is facilitated.
  • a particularly advantageous embodiment is characterized in that the support tab is double-walled, which on the one hand has increased payloads and on the other hand ensures an automatic unfolding of the support tab in the interior of the carton when unfolding the entire carton due to the high rigidity of the double-walled support tab.
  • the support tab is located directly below the floor unit and / or directly above the lid unit.
  • a particularly advantageous development is characterized in that the bottom unit and / or the lid unit is connected via a bottom fold line or cover fold line to the inner wall of a side wall element, wherein the bottom fold line or cover fold line substantially on the same Height level is arranged as the upper or lower edge of the unfolded support tab.
  • a structurally particularly simple to implement embodiment which ensures a particularly simple Auffaltvorgang and enables secure positioning of Deckelrychu bottom unit is characterized in that between bottom unit or cover unit via a Bodenenklebelfaltfaltline or a Deckelellaschenfaltline connected to the respective side wall bottom adhesive flap or a Deckelklebelasche is present , which is connected on the inside with the corresponding side wall.
  • a particularly preferred embodiment is characterized in that the first and second adhesive tab of the support unit are integrally formed on the lower and / or upper end edge of a side wall element via a first or second adhesive flap folding line and between side wall and Support tab a slot is present.

  • the complete unfolding of the folding box 10 at the filler takes place by exerting pressure (arrows D according to FIG. 16) on the first and second side wall folding lines 13 and 15, respectively.
  • Fig. 17 is schematically shown in a perspective of the unfolded bottom portion of the carton 10. It can clearly be seen how the two support units 20 form inwardly folded support tabs 30, which serve as a support of the bottom unit 60. Thereby, the bottom unit 60 may be formed as a simple tab. In order to increase the carrying capacity, the floor unit may also be double-walled in an embodiment not shown. Due to the relatively high rigidity of the support strap 30 due to the reinforcing straps 38, the support straps 30 automatically fold inward during the unfolding operation of the folding box 10.
  • FIGS. 18 and 19 the lid region of the unfolded folding box 10 is shown in a detailed perspective.
  • the support unit 50 has a single-walled support tab 56, which remains nestled on the inner wall of the first side wall 12 due to their low rigidity when folding the carton.
  • the lid unit 70 is folded inwardly about its lid fold line 74. This condition is shown in FIG.
  • the support tab 56 is unfolded into the interior of the folding box 10 (see FIG. 19). For better handling of the cover unit 70 when opening the hintergreifbare recess 78 is used.
