In dem Förderkanal 22 ist eine Fördervorrichtung in Form einer rotierenden Winnoverwalze 11 angeordnet. An dem Walzenkörper 16 sind axiale Reihen zinkenförmiger radialer Stifte 12 angeordnet, die rotierende Rechen bilden, um das Tabakprodukt 13 durch mechanische Einwirkung aufzulockern bzw. zu vereinzeln. Die Drehrichtung der Winnoverwalze 11 bildet daher die Förderrichtung F des Tabakprodukts 13 im Bereich der Winnoverwalze 11. Der Walzenkörper 16 und/oder die Stifte 12 können hohl ausgebildet und mit Düsenöffnungen zum Aufbringen eines Konditioniermediums auf das Tabakprodukt versehen sein, wie dies in der

Anstelle der gezeigten beiden Düsen 14 kann auch lediglich eine oder eine Mehrzahl von Düsen 14 entlang dem Umfang der Winnoverwalze 11 vorgesehen sein. Die Düsen 14 können als Düsenleiste, d.h. in einem sich über die axiale Breite der Winnoverwalze 11 erstreckenden, axialparallelen Düsenkanal 23 ausgebildet sein. Es kann sich dabei um eine Mehrzahl von über den Düsenkanal 23 erstreckenden Düsen 14 oder um eine oder mehrere längliche, sich über den Düsenkanal 23 erstreckenden Düsen 14 handeln. Der Düsenkanal 23 wird beispielsweise mit Preßluft beaufschlagt, so dass die aus den Düsen 14 austretende Luft einen Luftstrom 15 bildet, der etwa tangential zu der Einhüllenden bzw. dem fiktiven Außenumfang der Winnoverwalze 11 und daher etwa entgegen der Förderrichtung F orientiert ist. Der Luftstrom 15 ist im wesentlichen in den in Fig. 1 gestrichelt dargestellten Bereich gerichtet, der beispielsweise einen Öffnungswinkel von 15° aufweisen kann. Zur Erzeugung dieser gerichteten Gegenströmung können zusätzliche Leitmittel 21, beispielsweise Leitbleche, an der Öffnung der Düsen 14 vorgesehen sein; dies ist jedoch nicht zwingend erforderlich. Der Luftstrom 15 trifft auf das insbesondere von den freien Enden 19 der Stifte 12 mitgenommene Tabakprodukt 13 und übt auf dieses Scherkräfte aus, die eine Auflockerung, Vereinzelung und Vergleichmäßigung der Fasern des Tabakprodukts 13 bewirken.
